-Remnant's Dimension-

In the vast darkness of space, a lone figure stands within it. As if it is waiting for something. In fact, it was waiting for "someone".

The one who is waiting for that "someone" to arrive is none other than the Deity who overseer this Dimension.

This Deity doesn't have any particular features other than being a black silhouette.

Despite not having any face to reveal its emotion or reaction, but ut was feeling tense. After all, the "one" it was waiting for was the "Special Inspector" that was dispatch by the Creator.

As for why this has happened, it's because the Two Brothers, Light and Darkness, have not seen nor heard for the past 10,000 years. The Deity was concerned that they have not reported anything that happened on Remnant, the planet that they created.

The last time the Deity spoke to the Two Brothers was their last report that he received from them. Since then, the Deity, from its gut feeling, felt something was amiss back then. And it was too late when the Deity realized it.

The Deity knew that the troublesome Brothers were up to no good. Hence, this incident was reported with haste. The Deity was glad for the quick response of the Creator to send in the "Special Inspector". This leads us back to the present.

As the Deity was thinking while waiting for the guest to appear. The Deity could have taken care of this matter by himself but one rule has halted its tracks. It needs the permission of the Two Brothers to enter Remnant.

If the Deity were to manifest suddenly into Remnant, its presence would result into catastrophe. Such as earthquakes, tsunamis, typhoons and etc. The Deity does not want to cause trouble for the inhabitants of Remnant. Thus, the Deity didn't take any actions until now.

While it continues to mull over its thoughts, the Deity felt an enormous pressure weighing upon its entire being. The vast space of darkness was also trembling around it. In front of the Deity, a portal has begun to take shape and form.

"As expected, he hasn't come out of the portal yet he emits this much pressure alone." The Deity muttered under its breath.

As the portal was ready to open, a figure was beginning to approach from within it. The figure was finally able to step out from the portal. But he wasn't alone. Five other people were with him. All are nothing but extraordinary on their own.

But for the Deity, it felt various forms of pain assaulted its body at once. This was not coming from the "Special Inspector" but from the 3 of the 5 people that were with him. It made the Deity feel dread from this encounter alone.

The 1st person feels like it could kill the Deity with ease with the large sword diagonally on its back.

The 2nd person feels like it can split the Deity apart and seal him away for good.

And the 3rd person that frightens the Deity the most was that it feel its soul was being eaten alive. Like invisible teeth was gnawing at the Deity's soul.

The Deity was not feeling good with these death-like sensations that crawled underneath its skin. As an immortal being, it rarely felt its life to be endangered since the Deity was born. Now in front of him were 3 people that are capable of snuffing the Deity's life.

With these dark thoughts clouded the Deity's mind, the "Special Inspector" looked over his right shoulder at the 3 figures.

"No need to scare him that much, my Daughters" As he coolly said to them.

The three figures respond in their own respective Languages to him. He nods in return as he understands them.

"I am sorry if my Daughters have given you a flash of your Last Rites." As he pats the shoulder of the Deity to wake him up from his thoughts.

The Deity was able to regain his composure and gather his thoughts immediately. "No, I let my guard down!" Deity breathes in relief. "I was not expecting such…unique individuals to come with you, My Lord."

"Oh, where are my manners?" The Deity bows its head respectfully towards the "Special Inspector".

"Welcome to the Dimension of Remnant, My Lord." The Deity looked at the other 5 people with him. "And I also welcome you all as well."

The 5 girls gave a simple nod to the Deity.

"Thank you for welcoming us, but I need to cut straight to the chase." He replied.

"Of course, My Lord. I assume that you have read the reports that I have sent over to the Creator? " The Deity asked.

"Yes, I have. After reading them, I have reached at one conclusion." He replied in return.

The Deity gasped. "Have you figured out the cause?

"But we need to go to Remnant; if my theory is right, we might be too late for it." He replied with great concern on his voice.

"Does that mean you have a way to enter Remnant without the permission of the Two Brothers?"

"As the Special Inspector, I have the special privileged to enter their Domain with or without their consent. Let us go with haste!" Voice declared with authority.

"Then I shall lead you there." The Deity turns into a ball of light leading them towards Remnant.

The Inspector followed suit, along with his Daughters, with blinding speed.

-Remnant's Orbit-

As they travel through the Dimension for a few moments until the ball of light has stopped its tracks. It would mean that they have arrived at their destination.

But the Deity was surprised to see what happened to the only Moon of Remnant.

"The Moon…It's shattered!?" The Deity said in disbelief. "But the debris around the Moon has no sign of entering the atmosphere of Remnant!" It was glad that there were no Meteor Falls that occurred. Or else, the casualty would be immense.

The Inspector flew to the side of the Deity and looked at the shattered moon with a sharp glare of his eyes.

"This feeling…This was done by the God of Darkness. To let them know who are in charge of this planet." He looked at the Deity, who was still in disbelief, with the same sharp eyes.

"It seems that we are, indeed, far too late after all." As he raise his hand towards Remnant.

"Focus!" The Inspector yelled. Snapping the Deity of out of its funk and was looking at the Inspector with a worried look on its face. "We are about to enter Remnant. Stay close to me."

-Remnant's Night Sky-

The Inspector, the Deity, and the 5 girls slowly descend themselves into the atmosphere. They stopped just above the clouds. Now with a closer look over the lands of Remnant. Currently it's night time at the moment.

The Inspector was scanning the land with its eyes to see if there was anything that catches his attention. Then, he tries to sense the land with his divine powers only to be shocked at what he has probed. Before he says anything conclusive, he has to ask for a second opinion.

"Soul, do you think there were far too few people that lived on this planet?" He asked one of his Daughters, without looking at them.

"Yes, Father. In fact, the total population of this planet seems to be more or less than a billion people left." Replied the girl wrapped in a sinister dark cloak around her body. Her face was covered by a Skull mask.

The Deity was surprised at the revelation that the population took a huge dive. From the previous reports from the Brothers that there was a wealthy amount of people that lived the land of Remnant.

Now that most of the lands that the Deity have seen with its eyes were unoccupied, vacated and most of all, in ruins.

"Also, Father." A new voice was heard. "I cannot sense a lick of Magic around us. I thought that the Two Brothers blessed the people of Remnant with Magic?" Said the girl garbed in white Magician's robe and a hood with a confused tone.

The Deity was surprised once again with another great revelation. It was not able realize the simple fact. There was no sign of Magic on Remnant.

"I wouldn't say that Magic has gone completely but only a sliver of it was left." The Inspector said. Taking another glance at the area once more.

"Before we take any further actions, I have masked our presence before we enter Remnant a while ago." As he said to all who are present.

The Deity was confused of such action taken by the Inspector. "Why would you do that, My Lord?" The Deity asked.

"If what you have said is true, there shouldn't be anyone capable of feeling our presence?" As the Deity point out the situation.

"That may be true, but that doesn't mean that we should alert them. Right now, the land of Remnant is filled with the God of Darkness' foul creatures." As he points to the direction of a certain mountain.

"Can't you feel it? That mountain is like a cluster of negativity in one place."

"I assume that these creatures are attracted to negative emotions of the people of Remnant." Trying to piece the puzzle together.

"If they are not careful with their emotions, they will attract endless waves of these dark creatures until they get swallowed whole." He said grimly.

The Inspector took a deep, sharp breath and exhales with great force. Creating a very strong gust of wind; blowing from all directions. Now that he was certain of what have happened to Remnant. All that's left is to tell the Deity of the worst situation.

He looked at the Deity with serious expression on his face. "It seems that the Two Brothers had invoked the "Authority of Judgment" upon Remnant."

The girls were passive at the declaration from their Father. But the Deity was at lost of the action of the Two Brothers had done. For them to invoke "that" on the people of this planet, something must have happened from 10,000 years ago. The Deity was unsure of what to do next.

The Inspector felt the same as well. As he recalled one of the many "rules" that every God must follow absolutely. Whenever a God invoked the "Authority of Judgment", it means that the ones being judged must overcome the "trial" that the Gods have given to them. Failure to do so will only meet their demise. In other words, they will be wiped out completely. Even the Gods cannot intervene with this matter directly. Now that everything has come to this, there is only one thing the Inspector can do at this moment.

The Inspector looked at the Deity and said. "You can go back to your main duty. I will take over on this one." The Deity was surprised of this decision.

"Are you sure about this, My Lord? You know you cannot help them anymore." The Deity asked in concern.

"Directly, yes; but that does not mean I cannot inspire their actions." He replied with great confidence.

The Deity gasped. "That could work!" Ultimately, this is the trial for the people of Remnant. It is entirely up to them if they could pass this or not.

A small smile returned to his face. "With this, you did not violate the rules. There is still hope for them."

"That's right; Victory goes to those with courage."

The Deity nods at his words." Anyways, we will start our own investigation here to get a better understanding. You can return to your station. I will contact you for anything else."

"Very well, My Lord." He bowed to him and the girls. "I can only wish you luck for your endeavours." The Deity turned into a ball of light once again and flew off the distance.

A few moments of silence have passed after the Deity left them.

"You did not tell him everything, haven't you, Father? " A beautiful bell-like voice rang out through the air. It was coming from the girl with a large sword diagonally on her back. Her face was covered by a white-snow veil.

A soft laughter was heard. "You caught me there, Lei'er. But giving to much is nothing but an extra baggage if he can't pull his own weight." Giving her a slight shrugged

"Giving him more worries won't do any good at this point."

"Anyways, you smelled it, didn't you? He flew towards her. "The smell of the game. The game called "War"." He said with a casual tone.

"Ah, yes. But there is something strange about this "war" She pondered. "There are two sides; either aren't dealing the final blow on each other." A feeling of irritation has started to swell within her.

The other 4 girls have slowly backing away from her.

"Ah, right!" He puts his right fist on top of his left palm. "When it comes to War, you don't like this, particularly, the long game." As he remembered his Daughter's serious martial discipline.

"I have marched into the battlefield all of my life!" The girl claimed with great vigour. "The moment I step into the atmosphere of Remnant, I can tell how many have died in the last 10,000 years!" A sharp glare was formed beneath her white-snow veil.

"So many lives were wasted because of this war." A hint of anger was laced with her bell-like voice.

"Whoever started this is either an incompetent King, who failed to move his pieces properly, or an indecisive Queen, who keeps stalling the war." She feels the need to unleash her "sword" unto those people.

"Now, now, Lei'er." As he tries to calm her down. "Before you try to cut them down to kingdom come, there is something we need to do first."

The Inspector looked at the 4th and 5th members of the group and asked. "Can you trace the people who bear the powers of the God of Light, Yin and Yang?"

The last two Daughter's of the Inspector, who have identical hair styles but different color. Black and white. Mismatch eyes that are also black and white. Yin"s eyes are Black on the left and White on the right. Yang's eyes are White on the left and Black on the right. They give a simultaneous nod to him as they lead him, and the rest, to their next destination.

A few moments later, they have reached a certain cliff with a tombstone on it.

As they all arrived and landed on the cliff. Yin and Yang pointed their fingers at the tombstone.

The Inspector walks in front of the tombstone to have a closer look at it. He kneels down and read the text embedded on it. "Summer Rose/Thus Kindly I Scatter."

Without touching it, he knew that there was no body buried underneath it.

Before he could take his next action, Soul has news for him to hear.

"Father, her Soul is still fresh. I'd say a decade old or so. Unlike the other Souls, who bear the power of the God of Light, are long have faded away."

"That's good to hear" He looked over to the White robe magician. "Argine, can you summon the woman's Soul here on her Tomb?

"Yes, I can, Father." She replied excitedly. "Since there is no God of the Underworld here on Remnant. It is easy to summon her"

Before she could to the task, she stops in her track. "Oh, right. Just in case. We are still "cloaked", right?" Her Father gave her an "Ok" sign in response.

She comes closer to the tombstone. She raised her right hand; a card materializes in blue light. Grabbed the card and raised her right hand upwards and shouts: "I Activate the Spell Card, Soul Call!" After the spell was activated, the sound of a bell toll was heard.

On top of the tombstone, a figure has started to form into a human shape. A petite woman with a shoulder-length black and red hair tied back in a half-up style. She wore a hooded cloak which is white on the outside and red underneath. A beautiful woman with fair complexion. As she opened her eyes, which reveals the silver color orbs.

"Wh..what…where..am..I?" Summer's thoughts are in disordered as she held her head with her hands. Trying to make sense of what happened to her.

"Oh, my! Her death must have been quite an impact if she is this shaky." Argine materialized another card between her index and middle finger. Points it towards Summer. "Mind Refresh!"

A green light surrounds Summer, her mind started to feel light and clear.

"Whew…Thanks you for that. You saved me there." Summer giving her thanks to her savior.

"Well, I didn't exactly "save" you but summoned you instead."

"What do you mean by that?" Summer asked in confusion.

Argine points her finger at the bottom of Summer." Take a look at your own grave"

With a shocked face, Summer slowly looked down at the said grave. She tries to touch it but her hand phased through it. She finally understands what she meant. Then, her last memory jogged her mind of her last mission. "Salem killed me…" She sighed heavily.

"I guess I was foolish to take the mission alone. I mean, Grimm are everywhere for Oum sake! Even with my Silver Eyes, I relied on it too much." She shakes her head in self-disappointment. "I never would have thought that "she" would come to confront me personally." She thought of something else.

"Taiyang…Yang…and Ruby." She whispers in soft tone. She looked back at the girl who summoned her. "How long have I died?"

Instead of Argine, Soul responds to her question. "You've only died for a decade or so." Which surprised Summer due to her appearance.

"I..I see." She sighed heavily again. "Not only I failed my mission, I failed my Family as well." Thinking of what happened to her Daughters after she died. Her husband might be heartbroken again just like what happened with Raven that left them years ago. As she continued to mull over her failures, The Inspector finally spoke to her.

"Good evening to you, Summer Rose." Summer snapped back to reality as someone greeted her.

As she finally looked at her surroundings to see other people that were here on the cliff. She saw the other 3 strange people except for one. She could not see the figure properly in front of her.

The Inspector spoke again. "I am sorry if this is rude but my "form" isn't exactly normal for anyone to see. In fact, it is bizarre from your point of view. Please bear with me."

Summer nods in understanding. "So, who are you?" she asked.

"My true name is rather complicated to say. But please call me Cass for now." He gave a slight bow. "As for my identity, you can say that I am a God. And these girls are my children."

Summer was stunned at the introduction. "A..a..God…Like the Tw…two Bro…thers!?" She stammered in her sentence.

"Yes. I am a bit higher than them in terms of authority though." The Inspector shrugged casually.

Summer composed herself. "So what does a God like you want from me?"

"Because you bear the power of the God of light; the Silver Eyes." He looked at her with serious expression.

"I also need to tell you that Remnant is under trial of the God of Light and Darkness for a long time now. If Remnant has not overcome the trial that was set by them, then Remnant is doomed to be destroyed."

Summer was at lost after hearing such a thing from him. She quickly racked her mind with all the information and experienced she had over the years when she was alive. Their history, the Grimm, the Relics, Salem and Ozpin. Information is spiraling out of control in her mind.

She has to set aside those troubling thoughts in her mind for now and ask the important question. "Are you here to help Remnant?" She was hopeful if that was the case.

"No; I can't interfere with it anymore. The Trial has been set. It all comes down to your people, the Humans and Faunus." He answered bluntly to Summer.

She was devastated at his reply. It would mean that her Family will most likely die at their generation. She was regretting a lot of things. Like not seeing her Daughters growing up and getting married, spending time with her loving husband, seeing her drunken teammate Qrow, The wise Headmaster Ozpin & the serious Gylnda, and lastly, she would have want to see Raven one more time. While she was wallowing in regrets, Cass spoke again.

"Though I said that I can't help directly, but that does not mean that I can't help Remnant indirectly." The God was implying something to Summer.

All of a sudden if gave life to Summer once again. Her eyes were full of hope now.

"Really!?" she asked with great determination.

"Yes. Ultimately, the people of Remnant, Humans & Faunus, needs to come in understanding. To show to the God of Light and Darkness that the two races can be together as one."

"But at the moment, it is Remnant's greatest obstacle to overcome right now."

Summer understood what he meant. Even when she was alive, Humans and Faunus continue to be divided. Indeed, that this was most likely the difficult part.

"How would you help them?" she asked with a worried tone.

Cass crossed his arms in front of his chest. "As I said before, I can't help directly. All I can do right now is to inspire them of their actions for the future."

"I believe that you realized the problem that Remnant was facing when you were alive, right?" Cass asked. "After all these years, you barely made any progress. Both sides are at stalemate."

Summer was livid at that statement because it was true. She lists of the plaguing problems that Remnant was facing throughout the years of fighting Grimm.

There were not enough Huntsmen and Huntresses because of the high mortality rate all around Remnant.

- Grimm are still a mystery to them and have not made any effective measures against them.

- Not only have they had to deal with waves of Grimm but also criminals from within their respective Kingdoms. Making it more difficult than before.

- Keeping their emotions in check all the time. Because when negative emotions started to swell in one place, it attracts all sorts of Grimms in waves.

- And the continued discrimination of the Faunus race that lead the creation of White Fang. The once peaceful organization turned into terrorist group. Further making problems even harder to solve.

Summer could lists more of the problems but it was already stressing her out. She thought of Ozpin of how he was able to deal with such a massive headache all this time. She wanted to know his secret to it. Cass noticing this, he tells her this with a small smile on his face.

"Miss Rose," Summer was startled out of her thoughts by Cass calling out to her. "Smile, you don't own all the problems in Remnant." After she listened to those words, he was right. This is not something she, alone, could bear.

Summer started to calm down. And asked her next question to Cass.

"Anyways, what exactly is my role in all of this? If you have not noticed, I am dead. I don't have a physical body anymore." She said with a troubled tone on her voice.

"To train your Daughter, Ruby, on how to use the power of the Silver Eyes, of course." He said.

"But how; I am only a Soul at the moment?" She points herself.

"That's easy! I can resurrect you without any problem at all." The girl in Magician's Robe with a hood answered her in excitement.

"Now that I think about it, you can use "Magic?" The realization finally struck her. "But there were only few people in Remnant who can use it!"

The girl's face was overshadowed by her hood, started laughing merrily. "Hahaha…A Magician never reveals its tricks to the audience!" She twirled around once and bows in place with theatrics. Summer wondered about the strange quirk of the girl in front of her.

"As expected of the "Queen of Game"; her bluff worked wonders." The rest of the sisters have the same thought.

"Without further ado, it's time for you to return to the land of the living once more!" Another card materialized on her fingers, which Summer failed to see it. "Spell Card Activate! Soul Reborn!

White light covered the Soul of Summer. Then few moments later, light dimmed down until a human figure was seen. That figure was none other than Summer Rose that has been successfully reborn to the mortal plane.

Summer could not believe that she was given a chance to come back to life by someone. With this, she could finally be with her Family again. But before she will reclaim what she lost, she has to fulfill her role for the safety and future of Remnant.

"All done, Father." As Argine faced him after resurrecting Summer back to life.

Cass nods at Argine. "Well done, Daughter. With this we can start our plan."

He looked at the rest of his Daughters. "Everyone, please take Miss Rose with you and return to our "Home". Be sure to take care of her while I am absent. Am I clear?"

"Yes!" all responded with vigor. Summer was surprised at their response.

"Miss Rose, we will discuss further details later. I will catch up with you after I am done with a few more things here in Remnant." Cass telling Summer his plans. "I hope that I have not troubled you for this matter."

She waved her hands frantically. "Oh, oh, it's all right, Sir Cass! Coming back to life is already a huge debt that I may not be able to repay you!" As she still continues to wave her hands with an awkward smile on her face.

"Hahaha…Please be at ease, Miss Rose." He laughs merrily. "Lei'er, you take the lead." Cass told the girl with a White-snow veil on her face. She bowed and gave a Hold Fist salute towards her Father.

Summer finds that gesture unique and refreshing to look at. She could not tell anything else because the girl's face was covered by a veil. The said girl gave Summer a gesture to follow her. She followed suit and the next thing she knew was a blur. They were gone instantly. Only Cass and Argine were left behind on Remnant.

Cass is still pondering about the next course of action. Argine suddenly gave him a book out of nowhere. Puzzled as to why there was a book, but upon close inspection on it. He was intrigued by the title of the book, History of Remnant.

"Oh, does this book contain the origin of Remnant, Argine?" He looked at the book in wonder.

"Yup." With a pop. "I took the liberty of activating my Spell Card, History Maker." She showed the image of the card on her hand.

"As you said, it contains the beginning up to the current situation of Remnant. Thus, it is the most expensive book that every Historian on Remnant would go crazy just to take a peek at it."

Her face is full of smugness. "Aren't I great, Father?" What she did not expect was a heavy, blunt chop on her head.

"Vajra Chop!"

"Owww!" She screamed loudly while she rolled down on the ground. Her head was feeling great pain from it.

"Don't go too overboard, Argine." He said after giving her vicious chop to her head. It served as her warning. After that, he goes back looking at the vast, grim desolate lands of Remnant.

After looking for a while, he turned his body towards a new direction.

"Let's go, Argine. We got some places to be and preparation to welcome lots of "guests" to our Domain." He continued to march.

The Magician, still rubbing her head, followed him slowly from behind. While muttered in pain.

Remnant was already on its way to doom but it is something that they must overcome.

Together.
