A/N: This is my first IronDad and SpiderSon fanfic (not my first fanfic so don't worry) so I hope you enjoy. There isn't much IronDad in it yet but I hope to add more in. Share your ideas if you have any ideas to convey their relationship a bit more. There will be a bit of MJxPeter if you're interested in that.
I don't own any of the characters. They belong to Marvel Cinematic.
Unwilling Forced
"But sir, I feel really ill. I just don't think I can go." Peter whines to his professor for the fifth time that day.
"Peter, I don't really have time for this. Have you been sick?" the professor asks curtly.
"Well, no but…" Peter starts before being interrupted.
"Well then you're coming. We need to leave now, you're coming Peter. I don't care if you mope around the whole trip but you're coming. I worked hard to get the whole year team on this trip so unless you're dying your coming." He states, a sense of finality in his voice. Peter sighs loudly before moving his backpack further up his shoulder. He walks onto the bus and takes a seat next to his best friend Ned.
"Dude, why do you not wanna go on this trip so much? It's literally Stark Industries dude, this is gonna be epic." He asks.
"I just have other stuff I wanna do, I don't really wanna stay at this guy's house for a few days and look around. It feels like an invasion of privacy or something." Peter replies lamely before sighing again. Ned shrugs slightly before plugging his headphones in. Peter does the same and looks over to where MJ's sitting. He thinks back to his last visit there and shudders at the thought. Stark Industries isn't all rainbows and clouds like most people think it is; instead, it holds much darker secrets.
He stares at MJ for most of the journey, her presence having a slightly calming effect on him. When she looks behind her, having felt as though she was being watched, he looks around a little flustered; trying to act like he hadn't been staring at her for the past half hour. She salutes him before going back to sketching. He takes a couple of deep breaths to calm himself down from his agitated state.
Peter takes his headphones out when he hears a bit of commotion going on. He looks over to see Flash talking to some of his friends. He resists the urge to roll his eyes. God, he hates that guy. He's so friggin stuck up all the time. Not to mention his bigoted views on literal human rights. Peter leans a little closer; interested to see what he's moaning about on this occasion.
"I just think it's weird for her to have a girlfriend. Like, nature intended for girls to date boys. Not for girls to date girls." Flash says, trying to reason with the people on the bus who were giving him stupid looks. Peter battles the urge to say something, he knew he should but he wasn't too sure he would be able to supress his powers from kicking in once he got started on him.
"Stop being a dick Flash. Just 'cos you're jealous she can get a girlfriend and you can't doesn't mean you have to be homophobic about it." MJ pipes up, everyone looks over at her as she's least likely to speak in a conversation but she's already looking at her sketchbook again. She was quick to join in the conversation but even quicker to leave it. That's just her Peter thought happily. Peter smiles slightly as he watches Flash's embarrassed face before fixing his gaze back onto MJ.
