Paulina strutted away from Sam with a smug look on her face, she felt she had just won an argument with the goth.
Sam replyed with her favorite time honoured insult "Shallow!" The familiar word rang out through the hall as it did everyday.
Vanessa Sharp then walked up to Sam and leaned on the locker beside her.
"So you think she's shallow?"
"Of course I do? What else could that pastel pink prep be?"
"Alright then, do you think you aren't as shallow as she is?"
"No I am not shallow! Not one bit! Because I'm an individual I don't conform!'
"You don't conform,eh? What do you call following an entire subculture for years, dedicating your life to it and ONLY dressing the way the subculture does."
"At least I don't buy into that makeup garbage like every other girl in this school!"
"Sam…your literally wearing purple lipstick right now."
As Vanessa walked away she had a few things left to say, "I think changing the entire cafeteria menu was a bit conformist after all forcing everyone to eat just like you is practically the definition of conformist, and I think you don't even know what vegans eat, I mean seriously a turfwich?"
Sam called after Vannessa " HEY! What's your problem with me!"
"Nothing, I just don't like that you act like your better than everyone else, you aren't as different as you think and I think you need to accept that."
(I think I should say that I LOVE Sam she was one of my favorite DP characters, but as I got older I found she was created as one of those "I'm not like the other girls" characters and that is something I struggled with mentality, I felt like I was better than others because *I* wasn't shallow, but I am all humans are, one day I woke up and realized I was pushing people away.
After I got over myself I had a better relationship with everyone else around me and I was less angry.)
