REQUEST: The Hulk is Bruce's Secret identity. A reveal on the Helicarrier. ONE SHOT

"Tony Stark and Bruce Banner. Two of the most brilliant minds in the world. They should be able to work together to trace the Gamma signature of the Tesseract. " Nick Fury said, as he located the aforementioned people.

"Is this wise sir? They know nothing of SHIELD." Agent Coulson commented.

"I believe so, Coulson. If they do not manage to locate the Tesseract then we can try another method."

"Yes Sir."

Later that Morning

"Huh." Bruce startled awake, from the knock on his door. After his other selves rampage on Harlem that had injured and caused General Ross memory loss he had been living in a small town in Indiana no longer fearing for his life. Hearing the knock again, he looked at the time and seeing that it was about 9am threw on a shift and headed to the door.

Quickly he looked through the peephole and seeing a man in an official looking suit opened the door saying, "Hello, Yes. "

"Mr. Bruce Banner. My name is Agent Phil Coulson of the Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement and Logistics Division or as we call ourselves SHIELD. We need your help."

"And how exactly can I help SHIELD?" Bruce asked cagily, thinking about his other side.

"A powerful artifact was recently stolen. We need your help to track it down"

"How can I help track this artifact down?"

"The artifact also known as the tesseract admits a unique gamma radiation signature. We believe you can track it."

"What if I do not want to help locate the tesseract?"

"Then Loki would destroy and enslave the world with the tesseract's power."

Bruise took a moment to process that statement, absorbing and reacting with a "WHAT!" and then, "Loki, like the Norse God of Mischief Loki from Norse Mythology. That Loki?"

"Yes, that Loki."

Deciding to treat the situation as just a temporary job he agreed to help as much as he can.

When Coulson told him that it might take some time to properly locate the tesseract Bruce then grabbed his briefcase and a bag, threw in clothes and a toothbrush and toothpaste to bring

along with him.

Time skip to arriving on the Helicarrier

When Bruce first stepped foot into the Helicarrier his reaction was one of the air and being led to the labs suppressed his reaction to the one of the Helicarrier. "This place is magnificent. Is that a DNA temporal Splicer?"

"Yes" A man appeared, introducing himself as the Director of SHIELD, Nick Fury.

"This is where you will be working for the duration of the time it takes to locate the tesseract. But first follow me to the meeting room where you will see who you are working with."

Bruce stood and followed Fury to their destination. Looking around as they went he noticed a cage made of some material that he could not identify that was see through. Fury, when he noticed why Bruce had stopped walking, saw where Bruce's attention was and said, "A containment unit."

Bruce was startled out of his observations. "A containment unit for what?" he questioned hesitantly.

"3 years ago, a great big green monster destroyed Harlem. We are trying to identify who and what that was. This was built to contain it."

Bruce sucked in a quick breath. He was then led into the meeting room where he saw a muscular blond man, a redhead in a catsuit, and Agent Coulson. He sat down and a minute later another person came through the door that he recognized, Tony Stark.

"Ok, now that everyone is here." Fury said glaring at Stark, "Introduce yourself so everyone knows who you are working with."

The red headed woman started, "Natasha Romanoff, Black Widow." she said simply.

"Steve Rogers, Captain America." The muscular blond went.

"Bruce Banner. " He said timidly.

"You all know who I am. Tony Stark." Stark said smugly.

"You all know who everyone is. Now locate Loki and the tesseract." Fury ordered.

As they heard this both Bruce and surprisingly Stark stood up to head to the lab to locate the object.

Time Skip to Loki Capture

"We have located Loki, he was just captured. However he came willingly instead of fighting us, there's more to it than this; it's like he wanted to be captured. When Thor came he just stood there when he had a chance to escape." Stark ranted as he paced in the lab.

"Calm Down.'' Bruce said calmly as he sat on a stool, "We still have to find where he stashed the tesseract."

Tony sighed and sat down, "How do you stay calm all the time?" Tony poked Bruce with a pen. "You are all mysterious. There hasn't been anything from you for over a year. What have you been doing?"

Bruce just shrugged slightly defensive and conscious of his heart beat. "I don't know, I've just been relaxing."

Just then Steve and Thor walk in the room. "Widow's interrogating Loki now. They turn on the screen and see Loki and Natasha just standing there staring at each other speaking. Suddenly one line from Loki caught Bruce's attention. "You're a monster." Natasha had said. "Oh, No you brought the monster." Bruce could see that Nat was confused however his only thoughts were in a panic. He thought 'does Loki know? How does he know?'

Steve looked confused. "What does he mean?"

"I do not know." Thor said or more like yelled.

Just then Natasha came back into the lab. As everyone spoke about what Loki had said and implied, the air got tense. Suddenly Bruce had to take deep breaths to stay calm. As everyone started to talk about Tony hacking into SHIELD and what phase two was, Bruce backed up and unknowingly touched the scepter.

"Bruce, put that down" Natasha said as she noticed Bruce touch it.

BOOM! Explosions ran through the helicarrier. Both Natasha and Bruce had been separated from the others as the floor caved in. Natasha was pinned under some rubble and Bruce was turning green, turning into the Hulk. As Natasha unpinned her leg she heard a thud. Taking a look she saw green veins forming on Bruce and turning him into the Hulk.

"Wha?" Natasha whispered.

Grrrr. A growl pierced the air. Natasha quickly stood up and putting her hand to her comms said, "I need some help here. Bruce is the Hulk."

Hulk turned his attention to her at the sound. Quickie using her speed she escaped the room. In her comms she heard. "Bruce is the Hulk." and "Lady Natasha are you alright?"

"I'm fine, I'm going after Barton."

Bruce was destroying and smashing the room when suddenly Thor appeared and started fighting with him. As they were sparing they moved all through the levels until a jet started firing on them. Hulk jumped out and threw the pilot out, and started smashing the jet.

Time skip to after the battle.

"So... You're the Hulk." Steve said, breaking the silence as he and his team sat in the now destroyed living room of Stark Towers.

"Ya." Bruce said awkwardly with a blanket wrapped around him.

"How? Why did you keep it a secret? How did you keep it from SHIELD for all this time?"

Bruce signed and explained. "I didn't want to be treated differently from anyone else. I wanted a normal life. When General Ross exploited me and my work on gamma radiation to try to make the perfect soldier, another Captain America however since no one knows the serum used, we had used too much gamma radiation. The Hulk is the entity born from that exposure. Whenever I lose control or my heart rate increases I turn into that raging green monster."

Tony signed, "Well Everyone knows now. You can stay here. We have labs you can use to continue your research. You will be safe. That goes for all of you." Tony addressed the room.

"I think that we will take it. At least for now. "Clint said, sharing a glance at Natasha.
