PREFACE
Bella was uncomfortable, to say the least.
As pretty as the other new girl was, there was something...off, about her.
Elena, she'd introduced blandly, an interesting accent that Bella couldn't place curling her tongue. She had the palest green eyes Bella had ever seen, and they showed how truly apathetic she was to the fact that she made Mike Newton nervous. The red head had watched cooly with disinterest as Mike had introduced himself in his too comfortable, over-friendly manner. The longer the two maintained eye contact, the more uncomfortable Mike had become. Bella suddenly remembered where she'd seen the girl before.
"-and this is Bella!" Mike stammered, voice rising in pitch as he rambled on. "She's new too!"
Elena turned those eyes to Bella.
Something about her gaze froze Bella in her spot, helpless as she watched interest spark in the girl's eyes.
"Bella," Elena purred, "piacere di conoscerti."
A/N: Hey y'all!
I've been out of the writing game for years, but this is just a plot bunny I couldn't get out of my head. I was binge watching the Twilight Saga during quarantine, as I'm sure many of us have, and this is the result of that. Fair warning, this story is inherently going to be AU; it will include many more supernatural creatures (all of which are at my own disposal, so to speak) and have its own sub plots but it WILL still follow the Twilight plot line.
I'm doing my best to craft a plot that will be interesting enough to keep you guys entertained, and I hope you all enjoy! Please let me know what you think of it down below, and feel free to ask any questions you'd like! The first chapter should be posted within 24-48 hours of this one going up, and that will be much longer, I promise :D
ALSO! I've got two ideas for who our OC will end up with and I think I'll need some help with that later ;)
