Truth and Consequences

"How's it going?" asked Dean, leaning in the doorway.

"I'm bored," yawned Sam, pushing his book aside.

"How about a game of Truth and Consequences?" suggested Dean with a tight smile.

Sam shifted uncomfortably. "Don't you mean Truth or Dare?"

"No, I mean tell me the truth about taking Baby for a spin... and scratching her... and then accept the consequences."

Sam slowly rose to his feet. "You sure it wasn't Cas?"

"Don't bring me into this," rasped the angel, wisely taking flight.

Sam made his own dash for freedom. Perhaps a nice long run would help clear everyone's head?

This one's also for the SPN100 Challenge: jab

Fleeing the Consequences

Sam gave his brother a quick, sideways glance, but bit his tongue.

Dean had always had a temper, except for when he'd played mediator between Sam and their Dad. Now, Sam felt like he was paying it back with interest, thanks to the Mark.

It had all started with a jibe that Dean had silenced with a quick jab.

Now he had his foot to the floor, Impala speeding down the highway for the State line, in close pursuit by, apparently, every police vehicle in town.

Sam couldn't help but wonder if they were ever going to escape those consequences.
