Hello readers! I know it's been a while since my last story, but I've been doing some research and really brainstorming to bring you the best content possible. This is my first time writing a friendship only story, so if it takes some weird turns, please bear with me. As always, thank you for reading and on to the story.

Chapter 1 – Hideaway's Club

It was a Saturday afternoon at Garreg Mach. All of the students were out and about doing things students would do on a weekend. Some were out shopping, hanging out with friends, and other various activities. Well, all except one. Her name is Bernadetta von Varley. She prefers the safety and solitude of her room as opposed to the unpredictable outside. As Bernadetta was enjoying a book, there was a knock at her door. Bernadetta yelped and hid under her blankets, "Whoever did it, it wasn't me!" The person on the other side of the door sighed. "Bernadetta, you should try spending more time outside of your room." It was Byleth, her professor. "You know I don't like going outside, plus it's just as nice in here!" Bernadetta pouted. Byleth sighed again, "Listen, Bernadetta. I didn't want to do this, but you leave me no choice. As your professor, I'm ordering you to spend time outside of your room." With that order, Byleth walked off, giving Bernadetta no time to retort.

Bernadetta stepped out of her room. "Of all the things to do, I'm being forced to go outside," she said, frowning as she sulked about where to go. She went into the dining hall and ordered a piece of cake. Sitting down and eating said cake, she noticed Lindhardt headed towards the library. Scarfing down the rest of her dessert, she scurried of to see what he was up to. "Might as well see what he's up too, I have nothing else better to do." Letting curiosity take over, she followed him to the library. Every turn Lindhardt took, she took as well. At one point, Bernadetta turned a corner, only to find the green haired man staring right at her. Frightened, Bernadetta instantly dropped to the ground covering her head, "Don't hurt me!" She yelled. Offering her his hand, Lindhardt helped her up, "I'm not going to hurt you. But I would appreciate it if you didn't sneak behind me like that." Bernadetta noticed how far they had walked. "You knew I was behind you the whole time?" Lindhardt nodded, "You aren't really the greatest at concealing your presence." He then looked at the stairs to the library. "Come with me." he said, dragging Bernadetta along.

Wondering what they were doing in the middle of the empty library, Bernadetta watched as Lindhardt messed around with some books on a shelf. "So, what exactly are you doing?" she asked him. Focused on his task, Lindhardt ignored her question. As he pulled a certain book off of the shelf, there was a clicking sound. The book shelf slid out and moved to the side. "This way." He said to her. As they went through a short passageway, Bernadetta was astonished. "Where are we headed?" She asked. Lindhardt looked back at her, "We're almost there." Stepping out of the tunnel, they came to a room. In this room was a table, about 5 chairs, and some other accessories. Lindhardt turned to her, "Welcome to the Hideaway's Club."
