I'm here with another new story. Hurt will continue soon, I just have another Danny Phantom story that I want to try and get out. Rated for reasons, expect a lot of character bashing, slight OOC at times…and enjoy.
Danny walked around the attic of Fenton Works, moving boxes and cleaning up. Backing into a pile of boxes, a box resting on the top of the pile fell forward and hit Danny on the top of his head. Danny hissed as he rubbed his head and looked down, "What the hell? Why do we have so many…boxes?" he spotted an old, folded up piece of paper. Reaching down, he picked it up before unfolding it and began reading the contents.
A deep frown formed across his lips as he shook his head before an icy blue mist escaped his mouth. Taking a deep breath, the Halfa stood up as Ember, Kitty, Penelope, Desiree and Dora floated through the floor and Ember smirked, "So, here you are dipstick. We thought it was a bit-" before she could finish, the five ghosts fell back with a force, hitting the boxes, causing them to fall on top of them, "What the hell, dipstick! Is that how you greet-"
"Shut up," the five stared at him with wide eyes as he shoved the letter in his pocket and began walking towards the stairs, "Just shut up," they watched walked down the stairs out of the attic before they got up and followed him.
Stepping into Danny's room, the ghosts saw Danny on the bed with his back towards them and Kitty slightly frowned, "Okay Danny, what's gotten into you? You don't lash out like that for no reason," Danny ignored the green-haired biker ghost and Kitty narrowed her eyes slightly as she stepped closer to him, "Danny, I'm talking to you an-" looking over Danny's shoulder, her eyes slightly widened at a small, metal box in front of him, "D-Danny…please tell me that's not what I think it is,"
"That depends," Danny looked over his shoulder and narrowed his eyes as they flashed a bright green, "What do you think it is, Kitty?"
"A gun safe," Penelope and Ember looked at her with wide eyes while Dora and Desiree stared at her in confusion, "Danny, why in the hell do you have a gun safe?" Danny ignored her as he opened the safe and removed a revolver and several cases of ammunition, "Don't ignore me, Danny,"
"I'm not ignoring you, you just pointed out the obvious, so I have no reason to answer," Danny stood up and shove the gun and ammunition into his pockets before throwing the letter and his phone onto his bed, "I've got what I need…I'm gone,"
The five watched as Danny waked out of the room before Penelope floated over to the bed and read the later, "Well this is interesting, and it explains his misery,"
"What is?" Desiree spoke in confusion.
"Listen to this, Dear mother, as you know, Jack and I wanted a big family…oh god, gag me with a spoon, We don't care these idiots wanted a big family or not an-"
"Just get to the part that has dipstick in a bad mood, Penny," Ember demanded.
"Right, apparently there was some complications…with…oh my…this is disturbing to say the least," Dora snatched the letter from the redhead ghost and read it over.
Looking up at Kitty and Ember with a confused look crossing her face, the ghost princess arched a brow, "What is an abortion?" Kitty and Ember stared at her with wide eyes, "It appears there was problems with the pregnancy and Daniel's mother said something about an abortion an-" before she could finish, Kitty took the letter and quickly read it over as her eyes narrowed and began glowing.
Taking a deep breath, Kitty carefully folded the letter up and placed it back on the bed before looking back at the others and frowned, "I know most of you are going to be against this, but we need to be there for Danny," the four stared at her in confusion and Kitty frowned as she shook her head, "I know Danny better than you might think and when something is bothering him, he'll close himself off and will do something dangerous,"
"It could be fun, plus the amount of misery he's in could keep me youn-"
"We're not going to make him feel worse, we're going to try and help him snap out of it," Kitty narrowed her eyes at Penelope before taking a deep breath, "I know you, Ember and Desiree see him as an enemy, but I don't, and I know Dora doesn't, and it'll really help if we have as many people with us as possible to try and talk to Danny,"
Ember sighed and crossed her arms, "There's nothing better going on, so I guess we can help with the dipstick," Kitty smiled before the five of them fazed out of the room and out of the house.
Danny walked down the street with his head down as he quickly loaded the gun before shoving it back in his pocket and looked up with narrowed eyes. Seeing the icy blue mist escape his mouth, he growled under his breath before he turned and walked into a small alley. Looking back, he saw Ember, Kitty, Penelope, Desiree and Dora floating up behind him, "Are you five insane? The Guys in White are out looking for ghosts and that's why I didn't turn and-"
"We read the letter," Kitty interrupted and Danny's eyes widened, "So your parents wanted a big family, but because there were complications while your mother was pregnant with you, they couldn't have that, but they should've been happen with the two kids that they've got and not-"
"That word doesn't exist,"
"Abortion?" Desiree questioned and Danny's eyes flashed bright green, "What does that even mean, child?" Danny growled and looked away, "I am talking to you and I will like an answ-"
"In the way they used it, it means terminating a pregnancy, and if you're still confused, it means killing an unborn baby," Danny sighed and Desiree and Dora stared at him with wide eyes as Ember, Kitty and Penelope slowly nodded, "So, I took my dad's gun from the safe, took as much bullets as possible, left my phone and gave them what they wanted…or half of what they wanted. I can't help with the other part,"
"So you're going to kill yourself?" Dora frowned, "Daniel, you mustn't do something so-"
"Use your head," Danny hissed through his teeth, "If I wanted to do that, I'd only take one bullet, not several cases," the air grew still as Danny stepped forward and walked past the ghosts, "I'm not giving them what they want by doing that. I'm going to travel from city to city, killing anyone who stands in my way or who tries to attack me,"
"But you have ghost powers an-"
"And I'll use them when I need to," Danny looked back and shook his head, "I'm not going to reveal my secret to the world, but that doesn't mean I'm going to be a pushover. If a ghost comes after me, I won't have a problem going ghost, but if it's just some person looking for trouble, I'll just use the gun,"
"And what about your friends?" Kitty questioned and Danny looked away, "You're not going to tell them about this? They're your friends and they have a right to know what's going on,"
"I know, but if I were to tell them what's going on, they'll try to convince me to stay, or they'll go with me and contact my parents and tell them where we're at and I'll have a harder time getting away because they'll be watching me every move until I go to college so…I'm going to have to keep them in the dark. I hate doing that since they're my best friends, but…I'm not taking the chances of that happening,"
"Okay fine, but for the sake of living up to the therapist lifestyle, why did you leave the letter behind?" Penelope questioned and Danny looked at her with an irritated look crossing his face, "I'm not trying to bring you down, but in most cases like this, the runaway tends to keep the reason their running away with them as a reminder, but you left the letter behind, in plain sight too,"
"I don't need to be reminded why I left and I want them to feel guilt, I want them to know the reasoning for me running like this."
"But maybe your mom was angry when she wrote that letter," Danny looked at Ember and the rock star arched a brow, "What?"
Danny ignored her and looked back at Penelope and frowned, "What do they say about people who are angry?"
"They tend to speak the truth," Penelope crossed her arms and looked away, "So you just destroyed Ember's argument, but what do you thinks going to happen when your parents see the safe, the letter and your phone on your bed? They're going to put out an amber alert and you'll be caught before you can get to the next city,"
"I'll just go ghost and make my escape," Danny turned and began walking away, "Do me a favor and pretend you didn't see that letter and pretend you didn't see me. The less people know about this the better," the five let out a collective groan before they followed Danny out of the alley.
The six walked down the street in silence. Coming to the park's opening, Danny stopped and everyone looked at him in confusion, "Why are you five still following me? I thought I asked you to pretend you didn't see me an-"
"Danny, I know how you can get when something bothers you like this and we're just making sure you don't do anything reckless or stupid," Kitty answered.
Danny looked at Penelope, Ember and Desiree and shook his head, "You three are my enemies, so why are you here? Wouldn't you enjoy seeing me go down a dark road or something?"
"Normally, yeah, but things in the Ghost Zone have been quiet lately and it's been getting boring," Ember shrugged her shoulders, "So…it might be fun to keep an eye on you and make sure you don't do anything stupid,"
"And because of this, you'll need a therapist," Danny glared at Penelope, who held her hands up defensively and sighed in defeat, "I won't purposely make you miserable if that's what you're worried ab-"
"If I need a therapist, I'll go to therapy, until then, I don't think I need one an-"
"And because you're still a minor, they'll be required by law to contact your family, and I'm sure they do some digging around if you were to tell them they were dead and again, amber alert," Danny clicked his tongue against his teeth as he looked away in anger, "So like it or not, I'm your best option for a therapist. Your parents won't find you and everyone here will respect the patient/doctor confidentiality unless you feel comfortable enough talking to other people about it, my lips will be sealed."
"No one should feel unwanted by their family," the wish granting ghost spoke as she hung her head, "So I will gladly look past our rivalry to help you with this problem,"
Danny looked up as Dora frowned, "We want to all help you, Daniel, but we can't do that if you don't let us,"
Inhaling slowly, Danny shook his head and narrowed his eyes, "I'm standing on the losing end of this argument…fine…but I have three simple rules if you're going to stay," the five stared at him, "One, I don't want any type of attention drawn to us so no wish granting," Danny looked at Desiree and slightly frowned, "We'll…we'll work on freeing you from that damned curse,"
"Thank you, child,"
"No mind controlling music," he looked at Ember, who narrowed her eyes and slowly nodded, "And no making kids miserable for your own gain,"
"Fair enough," Penelope crossed her arms and arched a brow, "The second rule?"
"Two, I don't want to hear any regrets. If you want to travel with me and try to help, fine, I've forcibly come to terms with that, but understand once I leave Amity, I'm not coming back. In other words, get what you need now before we leave because this might very well be the last time we see this city,"
"Understandable," Kitty commented, "And the final rule?"
"The final rule is…we don't discuss what happened back at Fenton Works." Danny frowned as he gaze fell, "I'll talk about it when I'm ready, so don't force it."
"Again, that's understandable," Ember stepped closer to him and placed a hand on his shoulder, "So, we're at an understanding, are we going?" Danny took a deep breath and slowly nodded before he turned and walked away and the five followed close behind.
Not going to lie, this was haunting me for some time, but I avoided it for several reasons. This may seem like anti…well…a lot of things, and people are going to get angry about it, and don't worry, you're not alone. I've angered myself while writing this. The full contents of the letter will be revealed in a later chapter, two or three chapters. Please enjoy.
