On Friday after the case involving Chief Garland's friend and his church Liv is on her way home but all she can think about is Edgar Goodwin the attorney another one of Garland's friends. She is walking home and she thinks I hope I get to see him again and not just at work but outside of work as well I really like him and he seems really nice".
When she gets home Noah is still awake and up sitting on the sofa with Lucy watching Cars which he loves, when she walks closer Noah sees her and says " mommy your home I missed you are you home all weekend now". Olivia says " yes sweetie unless I get called to a case I'm home all weekend it's just you and me". She thanks Lucy and as she is walking her out Lucy says " just call me of you need me Liv no matter what time". They say"goodnight" then once she's gone Liv closes and locks her apartment door before she goes and joins Noah on the sofa and takes her shoes off after sitting down next to him where he curls up with her to watch the rest of Cars.
After Liv has bathed Noah and read him a bedtime story she opens a bottle of wine and pours herself a glass sits back on the sofa and finds a movie to watch. 20 minutes in to the movie her phone is ringing so she picks it up and sees that it is Chief Garland so she answers it when she does he asks " her if she would like to come to another one of their dinner parties tomorrow night at their house". Liv thinks then says"I would love to but I have Noah and I have no babysitter". She waits as she can hear him talking to his wife in the background before he comes back on to her and says " that is not a problem bring him with you our children will be in another room with our nanny and I'm sure they would love to play with Noah while we are in the next room". Olivia says " yes we would love to come tomorrow". They speak for a couple more minutes before ending the call.
As Olivia drinks her second glass of wine her phone rings again she picks it up but does not recognize the number but she answers it anyway. She says " Hello" and listens as the other person says " Hello it's Edgar Goodwin from Chief Garland's party and one of his friends". Olivia says " yes I know who it is I saw you earlier how are you is everything alright". Edgar smiles and then he says " yes I hope you don't mind but I just left the Garland's house and Lamia gave me your number and she told me that you are coming to their dinner party again tomorrow with your son Noah". Olivia says " yes we are and no I don't mind that she gave you my number I wanted to give you it myself earlier but by the time I remembered you had already left the precient, I'm glad you called me I having been thinking about you and I was hoping that I would see and hear from you again". Olivia finishes off her glass while still talking to Edgar before she turns the lights off checks on Noah goes in to her room puts Edgar on speaker and says"I am here your on speaker I'm just getting changed but I'm still here just give me 2 minutes".
Olivia gets changed in to a t shirt and some shorts then turns her light off climbs in to bed and then takes him of speak as she lies down in bed. She asks him how long has he been home and what he is up to". He tells her that he got home about 10 minutes ago and now he is sitting on the end of his bed talking to a beautiful woman who he likes". Olivia uses then smiles in to the phone as she can hear him climbing in to his own bed. He then says"I thought I would call and speak to you because your more interesting than my work on my desk in my study which I didn't want to do". Olivia laughs and says"well I'm glad you called me instead of doing your work it means a lot".
They are both lying in bed talking to each other about anything and everything when Edgar says"I'm looking forward to meeting your son Noah tomorrow evening and I'm looking forward to seeing you as well Olivia I hope we can see a lot more of each other and not just at work but outside of work as well". Olivia smiles then says"I'm really looking forward to seeing you as well tomorrow I was just thinking to myself earlier I hope I get to see and spend time with you outside of work and I hope you really like and get on with my son Noah". Edgar says"well I hope he will like me Liv because I really really like his mom a lot and I'm looking forward to getting to know him and you hell of a lot more Olivia". They talk for a while longer before Edgar says"right I'm going to let you go so you can get some sleep because I know Noah will probably have you awake early tomorrow morning you have my number now so if you want to talk to me before tomorrow evening you can just call me". Liv says"I might do that". They both say"goodnight" to each other before ending the call at the same time then Olivia puts her phone on to charge lies back down closes her eyes and drifts off to sleep.
