Zombie Queen
A Halloween Special by LucyConan
Walter frowned as he heard the loud banging on the garage door.
Not just a single knock or a slow sequence of knocks as one would normally expect, but a quick impatient rhythm that was starting to become obnoxious.
When it started, Walter had glanced at the clock of his laptop, then decided to ignore the noise.
At an hour as late as this, the probability of a potential client at the door was close to zero and an urgent life or death case would have either been accompanied by a serious looking Cabe storming into the building or the client trying the door and walking in as well.
Both of these had not happened and the obnoxious sound of human hand banging on a metal door just continued.
The garage was also too far into the industrial area to draw any trick or treaters, so Walter was convinced it could also not be kids that had never learnt how to knock politely, then wait for the door to be opened.
As the noise continued, Walter grew worried. If it was neither a client nor trick or treating kids, it might be someone who needed help.
The thought brought him off of his chair and sent him on his way towards the door.
As he opened the door, he didn't even flinch as he came face to face with a female devil, a female vampire, Mrs Adams and Mrs Munster, not just one, but two Harley Quinns and another person whose costume and face he could not make out behind the others.
He bit back the remark that they seemed a bit old to go trick or treating - the way the two Harleys were swaying told him they weren't completely sober and Walter assumed the same applied to the other women.
Walter was getting curious. What brought a group of admittedly very attractive but drunk women to his doorstep on Halloween.
He wondered what Cabe would have to say to the scene in front of him.
Cabe… he envied the older man. Cabe was having a little holiday trip to Allie's family, who wanted to introduce her brand new fiancé to her loved ones.
Whereas he….
"Yo, Walter!" Walter flinched as the vampire snapped her fingers in front of his face to draw his attention.
He looked at the tall, slender woman. Her yellow contacts gave her eyes something unsettling, especially in addition with the very realistic looking fangs she was wearing on her teeth, set off starkly by dark red lipstick.
"What do you want?" Walter asked, aware that he was not very welcoming, but also not caring if he was or wasn't.
"Our friend here is devastated because of you! We wanted to cheer her up all night, but all she did is drinking and bawling her eyes out because of you!"
"What are you talking about?" Walter was even more puzzled, but before he could question their statement more, the woman from the back was pulled forward and pushed unceremoniously into his arms.
"Paige!?"
"Wal-tuuuurrrrr" Paige slurred drunkenly as she slumped against him like a rag doll.
"She's drunk as a skunk and still all she does is whine about how she messed up by getting jealous and breaking up with you!" The vampire glared at him while the rest of the group growled their agreement.
"It's your fault she's in that state, so you fix it!" the devil poked his chest an inch next to where Paige's head was leaning against his shoulder.
"You hurt her and we come back sober and mess up you and your stupid garage, genius boy!" Morticia Adams told the doorframe, missing looking at Walter completely, "And I don't care who of you two is Walter, we'll kick both your asses!"
Walter watched in bewilderment as the group of women turned and staggered back to the van he had failed to notice so far. They filed into it with amazing speed despite the flailing and drunken squabbling.
He only hoped the guy in the driver's seat was sober…
The man seemed to wear some sort of uniform and rose his hand in greeting as he passed the garage's door.
"Waltuuuurrr" Paige slurred against his shoulder, then suddenly he felt her teeth against his neck as she started to move higher and higher all the while leaving tiny bites along the way.
"What are you doing?" Walter asked bewildered. He tried to gently push her away, but Paige pushed a lot more insistent against him and suddenly seemed to have twice as many arms as she should have. At least it felt that way, especially after the first hand had managed to work his shirt out of his waistband and he felt her fingers on his skin.
His heart leapt painfully. How he had hoped to have her in his arms again. To be touching and be touched by her again - but not with a drunken Paige that was clearly not in her right mind.
"Brain! I'm going to nibble on your brain!" she intoned in a deep tone, then suddenly broke into giggles.
"Excuse me!?"
"No! You hold still and let your Queen get a taste of you!"
Walter frowned, then took a good look at Paige's costume. She was dressed up as a sexy version of a Zombie and indeed wore a crown on her head.
Suddenly she jumped into his arms, lifting her feet from the ground and wrapped them around Walter's hips while her arms moved up and around his neck to get a good hold on him.
As he grunted and staggered to accommodate the added weight, he couldn't stop himself from being impressed how she had managed to jump high enough and with enough aim to accomplish her goal.
Paige lay her head into the spot between his shoulder and his neck and started to nibble at his throat again.
"Take me into my secret lair, subject and let me feast on your genius brain!"

Paige groaned as she awoke, her head erupting with instant pain.
Someone handed her a glass.
"Drink this - it will help with the headache." a familiar voice told her.
Paige's hand froze mid-air. "Walter!?" she asked, then looked around her.
This was not her bedroom… it was Walter's loft…
Her mind went to the crazy dream she had had of being a Zombie Queen, feeding on her favorite slave's brain, only small bites so that brilliant brain could grow back and she could continue to enjoy her human toy…
"Please tell me I only dreamt what I think I did last night…" Paige almost whined while she finally accepted the glass from Walter and took a small sip, only to pull a face. "Urgh!" She stuck out her tongue, but continued to sip tiny sips, trying to somehow move the liquid down her throat without letting it touch her tongue, but failed miserably.
"If by that you mean trying to munch a hole into my neck so you can feed on my brain, then I have to tell you, no, it was not a dream, my Queen."
She glared at Walter's amused grin.
"I made a total fool of myself!" She complained as she took stock of herself. She was still in full costume and her body didn't hurt anywhere but the mean throbbing of a hangover in her head. "Thank you for not taking advantage of my state last night."
Walter nodded. "You were in character with your costume, I have to give you that."
Paige snorted. Well, she could have made a fool out of herself in front of a worse audience. At least she knew Walter would not hold it over here. If Drew had seen her… oh no!
"What time is it? I need to pick up Ralph…" Paige grew concerned and looked around her for her purse, but only accomplished in making the world spin around her.
"You were lucid enough last night to tell me that Ralph was a at a sleepover with a friend. I called him this morning and asked if he can stay until later today. So you don't need to hurry." Walter told her.
Paige sighed in relief. She didn't feel able to go and pick up her son. Not to mention that her car was back at her condo. Her friends had picked her up.
Thinking about her friends, her eyes narrowed.
"This the doing of my friends, isn't it? I didn't come here by myself or call you to pick me up, did I?"
"They brought you here. If I understood correctly you weren't in as much of a party mood as they were and they decided it was my fault and dumped you here and demanded I fix it."
Paige sighed deeply. "Looks like I'm not too old or smart enough to know I can't drown my sorrows in alcohol. I didn't want to go to that stupid Halloween party anyway, but they insisted. I don't know what I was thinking to continue to drink like that…" she worried the blanket that was still draped over her legs.
"Walter?" She tentatively asked, her voice suddenly very small. "Would that be an option?"
Walter looked at her quizzically. "What do you mean?"
"Fixing it… us… our relationship…" Paige specified, looking up at him with worried eyes. "Would that be an option you would be willing to pursue?"
Walter was silent for a long moment, looking at her with those huge brown eyes she used to loose herself in.
Then he swallowed, but instead of answering right away, he sat down on the edge of his bed, just out of reach of Paige's hands.
"I… I'm not sure I could endure you breaking up with me again." He said tentatively.
"I don't think I could either." Paige said softly, then as she noticed his questioning look, she motioned up and down from her belly to her head. "Look at me. Apparently I can't be a fully functioning adult when I break up with you."
Walter looked at her for a long moment, then it was his turn to snort. "I have to agree with you on that one."
Paige glared at him, but it was only half-hearted. "I can't even blame you for that."
She inched closer to Walter and gently reached for his hand.
"So, what do you say, do you think we could be together again?"
"I really want to, but like I said, I can't endure you breaking up with you again." Walter said, but allowed her to take his hand.
The moment their fingers slipped into each other's, both knew they were lost. There was no amount of arguing the risk that could make them let go again.
"I don't want to, Walter." Paige told him, then took a deep breath. "Walter, I learned the hard way that it's not easier to be the one walking out of a relationship. I've never been the one to end a relationship before. Drew ran out on me. Tim broke up with me for a job and the two or three boyfriends I had in high school all were the ones dumbing me for another girl. I thought it would hurt less to be the one leaving, but boy, was I wrong…" she licked her lips. "The moment I poured out all my anger at you and ran out, the anger overrode everything else, but I was barely home, when it all came crushing down. It hurt. It hurt so damn much that I just destroyed the best relationship of my life."
Tears started to form in her eyes.
"Why didn't you come back then?" Walter asked softly, but Paige could feel that it was not an accusation but true curiosity.
"Because I was ashamed of all the things I had hurled at you and my damn pride not to crawl back and ask for you to forgive me for the way I broke up with you,. And then the others came and wanted to open their own business." Paige shook her head. "I was so stupid, I should have come back and tried to talk to you, but Toby was so sure you would not want to see me, that you would not be able to forgive me for what I said to you in front of all of them."
Walter's face darkened. "He did?"
Paige chuckled. "Yes, he did - but I think he already regrets it. My mood has not been the best since we broke up. We are an equal partnership at Centipede, but I have heard Toby complain to Happy that I am a 'worse boss' than you."
"I don't think you would be." Walter shook his head.
"Oh, believe me, I am. I expect them to be punctual every morning and if I so much as see a flicker of their relationship displaying itself my mood drops because it hurts to see them happy together while I have lost what I had through my own damn fault."
Walter gave himself an internal push. "Paige, I… I would very much like to be with you again." He rushed out. "But I have two conditions…"
Paige looked at him with trepidation. "What are your conditions?"
"One, you don't call my girlfriend stupid ever again," Walter told her seriously.
Paige snorted. "Okay, I can agree with that. And the other condition?"
"You keep Happy from killing me while and after I kick Toby's butt."
Paige broke out laughing. "I will happily do that. I have no conditions, but a few suggestions and I hope you will be open to them." Paige tugged on his hand. "But before I explain them, I want you to come here and kiss me. And I want a hug. A long hug. I want you to lie here with me and cuddle me while I tell you my suggestions."
Walter followed her tugging and met her lips in a first soft and tentative kiss that quickly grew deeper and ended with the pair lying in each other's arms on the bed.
"I missed this so much. I missed us so much!" Paige sighed happily as she snuggled against Walter's left side and moved to lay her head against his shoulder.
She stopped as she spotted the dark discolouration on the side of his neck.
"Did I do that?" She asked concerned. It looked like an overlarge hickey, which considering what Walter had told her earlier, it actually was.
"Yes, remember, you tried to get at my brain." Walter chuckled.
"I'm sorry. I hope it doesn't hurt?" She brushed her fingers gently over the large bruise.
"No, luckily you fell asleep before you broke skin, or I would have become worried you would suck out my brain after all."
Paise slapped his shoulder. "You're far too amused about this." She pouted.
"If it gets us back together, I will happily be your slave and let you feed on my brain, my Queen!"
Paige laughed out loud. "Don't let anyone hear that or they'll think we are into some weird fetish."
"That's our dirty little secret." Walter tried but failed to look serious. "Care to explain how my brain growing back would have worked if the Zombie Queen only fed on a bit of it?"
Paige lay her head against his shoulder. "Through the enzymes in her saliva of course. They promote the growth of brain cells and also make the victim feel no pain but great pleasure by being fed on."
" …" Walter chuckled. "And how is it that the Zombie Queen's saliva has this unique ability?"
"Well, she IS the Zombie Queen after all." She thought for a moment. "She isn't a regular Zombie that was turned by being bitten by another Zombie. Her mother was bitten when she was just a few months pregnant, but instead of dying inside her mother's womb, the Zombie Queen grew inside of her mother. Growing inside of a Zombie's body had a certain effect on her and when she was born into the world, she was the first of a new type of species. A Zombie, but not undead. Seeing this, the Zombies revered the baby. They protected her and nurtured her and when she had grown up, they made her their Queen. She is a very fair Queen, she lets her people have all the brains they want, but she calls dips on humans she fancies."
"Okay." Walter just responded, "Thank you for your explanation."
Paige raised her eyebrow and lifted her head to look at him. "Just like that? You are accepting my explanation just like that?"
Walter nodded. "Of course. That's comic book science and you can't argue with comic book science - I learned that trying to argue with Sylvester when I first met him. As long as we are talking about fictional characters, I am willing to accept comic book science or logic."
"And how about adult role play logic?" Paige asked huskily.
Walter pretended to think about it for a moment. "I'm not sure. How would that play out?"
"Well… " Paige grinned, as her fingers slowly wandered down Walter's body until they reached a certain area below his belt. "The Queen does not only feed on brains. She also feeds on something else…" She suggestively patted the growing bulge in Walter's pants.
Walter swallowed hard and licked his lips. "Adult role play logic is fine with me." He rasped out. "But didn't you want to tell me about your suggestions?"
Paige grinned as she rolled herself around and on top of Walter.
"They can wait. They are just suggestions and whether you agree with them or not is not vital for us to be together again."
Her grin widened. "But do you know what your Queen is demanding now?" Her voice grew dominant. "What makes your Queen especially happy? Make-up sex!"
"Your wish is my command, my Queen!" Walter tried to say as seriously as possible.
The Zombie Queen silenced the laughter bubbling up from Walter's throat with a deep kiss…
The end
