Hello everyone, I know I've been on again off again with being active and I apologize for that. I've been going through some personal issues and I thought that writing might help and it only made it worse, so I stepped away for a few weeks, but now I'm back…I know I made a one-shot or two while I was away, but those truly felt half-assed to say the lease. Anyway, here's a new story, I'm also going to try and resurrect some of my older ones and delete the ones that will never come back or put them up for adoption. If anyone is interested, PM me.
This is rated for reasons, future AU, slight OOC and…I think that's it. Please enjoy the first chapter.
Ganma and Beru Asui drove down the road in silence, Beru's head down as small, nervous croaks escaped her mouth, a slightly annoyed expression crossing her husband's face. Pulling into the driveway, Ganma cut the engine off and the two sat in silence before Beru croaked, "I don't know what I was thinking. I was just angry that they were talking about our daughter that way and it just…slipped out," Ganma looked at his wife and arched a brow, "Ribbit, I guess we can tell them that they couldn't make it, that they got caught up in work an-"
"Gero," Ganma deeply croaked and Beru looked up for the first time since they got into the car, "You know your sisters won't buy into that, and besides, word tends to travel fast, so we should give the two a call and explain everything to them before they hear it from someone else," Beru slowly nodded as they opened the doors and began climbing out of the vehicle, "Now whether or not that go with this charade will be up to them," Beru nodded again as they closed the door and walked up to the dimly lit house.
Tsuyu and her housemate Izuku sat in the living room, relaxing after a long night of fighting crime before the sound of Tsuyu's phone going off broke the silence. Reaching over, Tsuyu picked her phone up and answered, "Kero?" Izuku looked over to his partner in confusion, "Oh, hi mom, how was-what?" she looked over towards Izuku in confusion and slightly nodded, "Yes, Izuku's here, why?" Izuku sat up and listened to Tsuyu's side of the conversation, "I don't understand, I thought you and dad were going to visit…Kero!" Izuku jumped off the couch as Tsuyu stood up, "You did what? But why?"
"Uh…Tsu, is everything o-" Tsuyu held up a finger and Izuku sighed as he nodded.
Tsuyu inhaled slowly as she shook her head and croaked, "Okay, I'll let him know…I love you too, mom," she ended the call and took a deep breath before she sat down and Izuku sat down next to her.
Tsuyu groaned as she sat back and stared up at the ceiling and Izuku's eyes followed her, "Izu, we're going to take next week off," Izuku hummed and arched a brow as Tsuyu looked at him and frowned, "Kero, my parents went to visit some relatives and…my aunts…who are less than kind to me, started talking about me and…my mother said something about me having a fiancé,"
"Uh-huh…and why exactly are we taking next week off? That's a little short notice, especially for heroes and what if we can't get someone to cover our patrol an-"
"We'll talk to Momo and Todoroki about this tomorrow, but…as I said, my mother said something about me having a fiancé and…my cousin is getting married next week and my family wants to meet my fiancé and…well…you're my date,"
"W-wait," Izuku's eyes widened as he shook his head, "Your mother said that I'm your fiancé?" Tsuyu hummed and nodded as Izuku sighed and ran his fingers through his hair, "Great…just great,"
"I…I'll just call my mother and tell her we can't make it an-"
"No, don't do that," Izuku shook his head and Tsuyu looked at him with a slight frown, "You said your relatives weren't exactly kind to you, so…I say we go to your cousin's wedding and show them that they're wrong about you…besides, how often do we take time for ourselves," Tsuyu's eyes widened as Izuku inhaled slowly, "If pretending to be your fiancé for…however long we're going to be there to show your relatives that they shouldn't talk badly about you then it's well worth it,"
Tsuyu slightly smiled as she croaked and nodded, "Thank you, Izu," Izuku hummed and nodded before Tsuyu narrowed her eyes and spoke in a serious tone, "You know, for all of next week, we're going to have to act like a couple. Holding hands, kissing…sharing a bed…Kero,"
"Y-yeah…I know," Izuku rubbed the back of his head and looked away, "But we've done undercover missions together before, how would this be any different? All we have to do is act like we're dating in front of your family and that'll hopefully get them to back off and stop talking poorly about you…I mean you're an amazing person, Tsu and your family shouldn't be doing that an-"
"You're rambling, Izu," Tsuyu smirked before leaning up against Izuku and silently croaked, "And thank you for doing this," Izuku hummed and nodded before wrapping an arm around his housemate and rubbed her back as the two of them sat in silence, watching a movie as they continued to relax from the recent villain attacks.
A few hours have passed and the movie the green-haired duo was watching had come to an end. Turning off the TV, Izuku looked down to see Tsuyu's chest rise and fall at an even pace, indicating she had fallen asleep. A small smile played across his lips before he carefully stood up and gently picked Tsuyu up bridal style before he turned and began walking down the hall.
Entering Tsuyu's room, Izuku carried Tsuyu over to the bed before carefully setting Tsuyu down and pulled the sheets over her. Looking down, he inhaled slowly before leaning down and lightly kissed the side of her head before he turned and walked out of the room, closing the door behind him and walked across the hall to his room.
Izuku laid on his bed, his arms behind his head as he stared up at the ceiling, "So…Tsuyu and I are going to pretend to be engaged next week while we attend her cousin's wedding," inhaling slowly, the One for All hero turned on his side and stared at the night sky out the window, "And then after that, we'll go back to our normal lives," yawning, he closed his eyes and fell into an unsettling slumber as several thoughts raced across his mind.
Well…please enjoy this first chapter.
