A.N. The following is a nonprofit fan fiction. I do not owe any of these characters, or the stories they originate from. Please support the official release. This is a parody, that's very loosely based on the awesome TV show, Primal. I say it's very loosely based since it's not a faithful parody. It's just a fun fan fic for me to enjoy writing, and I hope you will enjoy reading. Also, I do not own Primal. I wish I was that talented.

Summary: In this alternate world where man and the old beasts co-existed, this is a tale of not a man, but a young cavegirl with an Arcanine on a quest of survival.

In a world where only the strong survives, a primal world where the only rule is eat or be eaten, a human male is teaching his only child how to hunt. Kyros, a bulky caveman is watching his daughter, Rebecca, sneak upon a prey. A prehistoric deer. Kyros wears a simple loincloth, while Rebecca downs a fur dress made from an animal that had stripes. She is also pink haired.

Kyros watches eerily as his daughter sneaks ever closer, now only ten yards from the unsuspecting deer. Rebecca tightens the grip on her spear, beats of sweat streams down her face as she feels her heartbeat increasing. Her father is watching. She has to make a good impression. She is now close enough. She prepares to toss her spear, taking a step back. However, her bare foot stepped on a twig as she pulled it backwards. The deer heard this and saw Rebecca as it shot its head up. Out of panic, she tossed the spear, but it was too late. The deer sprinted away, dodging the spear, as it hit a tree instead.

"No!" The pinkette cried in frustration.

Suddenly, another spear hit the deer instead, going right through it. Kyros jumped down onto the dead animal and glared at his daughter, giving her a look of disappointment. "You have got to be worst hunter I've ever seen."

"Father, I'm sorry. I …" Rebecca said, stuttering, but Kyros cut her off.

"But you got closer than you have ever before," He said, picking up today's catch over his shoulders. "Next time, you'll undoubtedly make the kill. Just be careful where you place your feet next time." He said, giving her a smile. Rebecca returned the smile and nodded.

The two begins their trek home, with Kyros carrying the deer, and Rebecca carrying both their spears. They were quite the whole way. This is so to prevent giving away their presence to any predator. Kyros suddenly stopped as he shot his head up in alarm. Rebecca didn't say anything. She just looked around, knowing her father was sensing danger. Sure enough, a dinosaur launched itself from the bushes at them. They jumped out of the jaws of death, with Kyros dropping the deer. The predator had horns over its eyes. It was a carnotaur. The beast roared at them, showing its teeth. Rebecca tossed Kyros his spear and together they engaged the assailant. The carnotaur shot its mouth at them, trying to bite them. Kyros dodged and slashed its snout, scarring it. Rebecca saw an opening and sunk her spear into its leg. The carnotaur roared in pain and turned to the pinkette. The beast shot his head towards her, and Rebecca tried jumping out of the way, but it bite the shoulder of her dress, picking her up. She used her spear to cut the dress, getting herself free. The carnotaur tried catching her again, but Rebecca dodged and got under it, spearing it in the belly. The predator roar in pain, and Kyros jumped over its head, letting out a roar of his own, before sinking the spear into its head. The carnotaur's eyes widen before slowly shutting, and it fell to its death.

Both Kyros and Rebecca panted heavily, having narrowly escaped death … again. This was a day to day struggle in their world. Eat or be eaten. Kyros handed his spear over to Rebecca and picked up the deer again.

"We better go," He said. "The carcass will soon attract predators." And Rebecca nodded. "You'll need a new dress," He told her, and Rebecca looked down, seeing her right shoulder was exposed, as well as her chest, just covering her nipple.

The two made it to a hill top, overlooking a valley. At the edge of the valley they could see smoke.

"Good. They've prepped the fires." Rebecca said with a smile.

"Well, let's not keep them waiting. They're hungry." He said and the two kept going.

As the two got closer, something ran past them. A prehistoric dog of some kind. It looked like it was scared of something.

"That one's from our village," Rebecca said with worry.

"Something must've startled it," Kyros said with suspicion.

That's when they heard screaming. Human cries. Kyros dropped the deer and Rebecca handed him his spear, and the two sprinted towards the source of the cries. The two were looking worried, as they feared for their tribe. When they got there, cutting through the bushes, they found something truly horrifying. Their tribe was in shambles. Huts were destroyed and on fire. But worse was the limbs and blood all around. They heard screams and roars. And then they saw their people being devoured one by one by a pack of spinosaurs. Five of them. The massive beasts used coordinated attacks to circle around their prey, picking them of one by one. No one escaped. Not the old man that was picked up by one of them and swallowed whole.

"Grandfather!" Rebecca cried in despair. Then another spinosaurus nipped a red haired woman who looked a lot like Rebecca. Devoured in one fell swoop. "MOTHER! NOOOOOO!" Rebecca cried out in horror, seeing her family eaten and dropped to her knees, crying.

Kyros however snapped out of his shock and sneered. He roared in fury and charged the spinosaurus that just ate his mate. The dinosaur saw him came at it. It tried biting Kyros, but the caveman jumped onto its head and pierced its skull, killing it like the carnotaur. Rebecca watched her father avenge her mother, tears still streaming down her cheeks. But in his blind rage, Kyros noticed too late the predator coming at him.

"FATHER!" Rebecca cried when the monster snatched Kyros. The caveman used his last strength to spear the spino's eye, but the beast then bit down, killing Kyros instantly, and then devoured him. The beast then set its eyes on Rebecca and attacked. She dodged the jaws of death and sprinted away. The others also tried getting her, gnawing, biting and slashing at her. Somehow, she managed to dodge them, all the while getting her dress shredded. But then she found her in front of another spinosaurus. This one … this one was massive, compared to the others. It was three times their size. It roared at her as it brought its elongated snout down upon her. Rebecca let out a cry before dodging the mouth full of razor sharp teeth, and jumped into the river. Normally, it wouldn't be such a smart idea to jump into water in order to flee spinosaurus. But the stream offered a chance to escape, as she was swept away. The predators did pursue her, jumping into the water, which was shallow enough for them. Rebecca found herself avoiding their jaws through sheer luck, as the current jerked her around, making it hard for the predators to catch her. Eventually, they stopped, as they neared the edge of a waterfall. But Rebecca fell over the edge and down to the water bellow.

At the shore, Rebecca emerged, gasping for air, and coughing out water, crawling onto the beach, covering herself in sand. She heard a distant roar. She looked up and saw the pack of spinosaurus on top of the cliffs, with the larger one towering above the remaining four. If Rebecca was to guess, those four were still juveniles and the larger spino was their mother. It instructed the others that it was time to leave, as they've eaten their fill. Rebecca's eyes then welled up, and she turned around and started punching a tree, crying over the loss of her tribe and family. She kept punching until her knuckles started bleeding, ignoring the stinging pain. After a while, she finally stopped, panting heavily.

She then returned to what was left of her village. She looked around her destroyed home, and mellowed. She found something on the ground. Her father's spear. She picked it up and went over to a hut that was still relatively intact. She went inside, where there was two makeshift beds of grass. One was hers. And the other had belonged to her parents. She lay down on the bed and curled up on it, getting their scent in, and whimpered. She then found something on the bed. A necklace made from various animal teeth. It was her mother's necklace.

Rebecca went back outside and up a hill where she shoved her father's spear into the ground, and tied her mother's necklace to it. She then looked at a mountain close by and went straight for it. Hours later, she was climbing the wall, trying to get as high up as she could. Once she reached the top, she was so high up that the animals down bellow looked almost like insects. She stood at the edge and looked down. She sweated and swallowed a lump. She slowly moved her left leg forward, but found herself shaking. She froze, just standing there, unable to do anything. She pulled her foot back and then hunched down in the fetal position.

"You coward," She said to herself.

Morning came, and Rebecca woke up to the rays of the sun hitting her face. She stirred and opened her eyes and found she was laying on the edge with her arm dangling over it and her head. She jumped and pulled away from there. She snorted, and realized she was unable to take her own life. She stood up and looked down at her dress, which was totally shredded. She ripped of what remained of it, leaving her in a two piece furkini. She treaded into the jungle, all alone for the first time.

A few hours passed, and Rebecca's stomach was growling. But she didn't care. She didn't care about anything. She had lost all will to live. But dying of starvation was no way to go. She needed something quicker and less painful. That's when she heard a wolfish growl. She turned around and saw a massive canine with orange fur, black stripes and white bushy tail and mane. This creature was known to her people as an Arcanine. A horse sized canine with apatite to match. It snarled at Rebecca, having chosen her as its prey. It didn't bother trying to ambush her. It clearly knows it can outrun humans. Not that she was gonna try and run. She had found a way to die now.

She got closer to it and went down on her knees, much to the Arcanine's confusion. "Make it quick," She told it, making it raise an eyebrow. "You want to eat me? I'm offering myself freely to you. Just please, make it as quick and painless as possible." She asked of it.

The Arcanine had never met a human that was suicidal before. This was new to it. But how often does a meal ever offer itself freely to it? So the Arcanine went over to her, and Rebecca shut her eyes in fear. But then the Arcanine got behind her, lowered its head towards her butt and bit her fur bikini bottoms, and hoisted her up.

"Hey! What are you doing?!" She cried out in surprise, kicking her legs and flaying her arms. Her hands and feet were way above the ground as she hung from the beast's mouth by what little clothes she was wearing, and it began carrying her away. Rebecca looked up at her captor and said, "At least let me die with some dignity!" She spat in embarrassment. She sighed and hung her head, which gave her a view of the Arcanine mid section, making her blush. "Boy dog," She said, looking away.

After about an hour, they reached a cave. The Arcanine's den. "You could've just killed me first and then bring me here." Rebecca complained.

Arcanine brought her inside the massive cave, and she then saw it was a nest, as she there by the edge was a female Arcanine, and a litter of cubs. Five of them, which were called Growlithe, before they became adults. The pubs rushed over to their father, howling for the food he brought back. Arcanine practically tossed Rebecca to his cubs, making her hit the ground hard.

"Ow," She cried. "This is really not my day," She whined. She opened her eyes and saw the pups surround her, looking at her like food. She rose to her knees and started sweating again. She turned to the male Arcanine and said, "Please, kill me now. I don't want it to be painful." She pleaded.

The male Arcanine understood and halted his cubs. He stood over Rebecca and opened his mouth at her head. He was going to snap her neck. But then fear took over as she pulled her head back, and Arcanine looked mighty angry at her, snarling his teeth. He did not like to be toyed like this. Rebecca panted heavily, and was shaking. She wanted to die. She had nothing left to live for. So why did she keep avoiding death?

"I'm sorry," She said. "I …"

She was interrupted however by a loud and familiar roar. Everyone shot their heads at the entrance, and Rebecca's eyes widen in horror. It was the four juvenile spinosaurus that ate her tribe. Arcanine got into defensive position, growling at the predators, ready to give his life to protect his family. Rebecca rose to her feet, as her survival instincts took over. She looked around for anything that could be used as a weapon. Sure enough, there was a spear, next to the skeleton of a dead human. A hunter who was unfortunate enough to tread into the canine's den and became a meal to the pack.

The spinosaurus attacked and Arcanine opened his mouth, spewing fire. This is what made this creature a formidable foe. Fire was the deadliest weapon in this world. And this was one of few creatures who had access to it. The spinosaurus backed away when it was hit by the fire. Its thick hide shielded it, but it still burned. Another spino ran past Arcanine and straight for the litter. The mother Arcanine stood protectively in front of her cubs, growling at the much larger beast. Overconfident, the juvenile didn't even notice Rebecca running up beside it and under its belly. She let out a cry as she pierced its stomach, and the dinosaur cried out in pain. The mother Arcanine and her cubs watched in surprise as Rebecca continually spearing the spinosaurus, making blood drop onto her and spilling its guts. The animal fell, groaning in agony, but Rebecca put it out of its misery by piercing its skull. One of its siblings came at her, but was hit by a fire from the mother Arcanine. Rebecca then noticed this one was missing an eye, and she was shocked. This was clearly the same one who killed her mother and father. Rebecca could feel her blood boil as irrational anger took over. She roared in fury and attacked. She and the mother Arcanine teamed up to take it down, while the patriarch fought the other two.

The male Arcanine dodge a bite from one of the spinos, and then the other one who tried to snatch him, as he jumped onto its head. He bites the spino's neck and tore a piece of flesh from it, making blood gush out of the wound. The other made another launch, but Arcanine jumped of the sibling, making them collide with each other. The spinosaurus kept coming at him, opening its mouth wide. That was a mistake, as Arcanine spewed fire into its open mouth. The spinosaurus coughed in pain, backing away. Arcanine then sprinted forward, bit its leg and pulled, tripping it over. He then jumped onto it and bit the neck and tore flesh from it, spewing out blood, like the other one.

The mother Arcanine spewed fire at the last spino, making it cry in anger and frustration. Rebecca tossed the spear into the spino's eye, completely blinding it. It roared in pain, jumping and running around in panic, as it could not see. Rebecca grabbed a rock, spun around to gain momentum, and whacked the rock onto its leg, breaking it. The spino cried out in pain, and Rebecca repeated the attack on the other leg, bringing it down. She finished it off by getting on top of the head and continually whacked the skull with the rock. She cried as she whacked the skull, spewing blood onto her. Even after it was dead, she kept going, until her arms grew tired. She panted heavily and sat on the dead spinosaurus for a few moments, while the pack of Arcanine watched her.

She got of the carcass and sat down, recovering her strength. She then felt something cuddling her. It was the pups. The Growlithe gathered around, but they didn't try to eat her like they did before. Instead they are licking her, cuddling up her body. The mother even walks over to her and licks her face. Rebecca pets the pups, and smiles, feeling good for the first time. She looks up at the male Arcanine, who is smiling down at her.

"I don't think I'm ready to die after all," She told him.

Their moment of peace was interrupted however, by a roar from another dinosaur. A much larger large spinosaurus. Rebecca knew who it was. The mother spino entered the cave and was furious to see all her children have been killed. She glares at the canines and Rebecca. The male Arcanine prepares for another fight, as does Rebecca, who grabs her spear from the eye of the dead spinosaurus.

Arcanine spews fire on the giant predator, but her hide is thicker than her young's were. She charges at Arcanine and tries biting him, but he jumps onto her snout and bites hard. The female spino starts shaking her head to try and pray him of, allowing Rebecca charge in and sink her spear into the middle toe of her foot. The spinosaurus roars in pain and then rams her snout into a wall, hard, damaging Arcanine. She then uses her arm to snatch him away, but he tore a piece of flesh from her snout. Rebecca keeps on stabbing the spinosaurus's foot, cutting of the middle toe. The spino roars in pain and kicks her leg, yanking Rebecca of, sending her flying into a wall, knocking her out. Arcanine gets back up and prepares for another attack, but he gets whacked aside by the spino's tail.

The female spinosaurus turns her attention to the mother Arcanine, who stands protectively in front of her pups, sneering at the massive predator. She spews fire at her, but the spinos is blinded by rage, and ignores the burns, as she snatches the mother Arcanine with its jaws, and bites down hard, killing her. She then devours the dead Arcanine, before turning her attention to the frightened pups.

The male Arcanine comes to it, but is too late, as he watches in horror the spino picking his up his pups in her mouth and consumes them in one fell swoop. Blood spills from her mouth. Arcanine's shock turns to sorrow, then absolute rage. He roars so loudly that awakens Rebecca. Arcanine spews such heavy fire in retaliation, that it pushes the spinosaurus into the wall. Rebecca can feel the heat from where she's standing. The spinosaurus pushes through the flames, still feeling vengeful, as there are still two more responsible for her children's deaths. But she's still missing a toe, making it hard for her to keep balance. However, eventually, Arcanine is unable to keep up the pressure. Eventually he exhausts himself and the fires die down. The spinosaurus is now covered in burn marks. Her skin melted, and she's in excruciating pain. Now she's angrier than before. She attacks, but Arcanine jumps aside, still having a lot of fight left in him.

"Give me a lift!" Rebecca shouted as she ran over to Arcanine. She jumped onto his head, and he jerked it up, giving her momentum. She flew towards the spinosaurus, who opened her mouth to catch Rebecca. She flew into the mouth, as the spino closed, and it looked like she got eaten. However, the tip of the spear pierced through the skull, and the spinosaurus's eyes widen, before filling with blood, and she feel, hitting the ground with a loud thud.

Rebecca forced opened the mouth, coming out covered in blood and slime. She panted heavily, and then saw Arcanine lying at his nest, weeping over the loss of his family. Rebecca felt huge empathy for the canine. He was now like her. Alone and hurt. She walked over to him, knelt down and patted his head. This only caused him the jerk his head at her, sneering his teeth. Rebecca raised her arms in defense, and Arcanine calmed down. He placed his head on her lap, crying.

"I know exactly what you're going through," She told him, as she held him. She looked around the cave at the dead spinosaurus spread out. "I don't want to be insensitive. But if we don't leave, the carcasses will attract more predators." She said and got up. Arcanine didn't move however. He just kept lying there, taking in the scent of his family. Rebecca turned and left, hoping that her new friend would decide to leave before becoming an extra snack to whatever these corpses will attract.

A few hours later, Rebecca was back at her village. She knelt before the spear and necklace she had placed before, letting the tears fall. She had avenged her family and her tribe. Yet she felt little to no satisfaction. All her loved ones were still dead. She had tried to kill herself, but was unable to do so. Why? What does she have left to live for? She has all the reasons to end it all. Yet she's avoided death at every turn.

She then heard a whimper. She turned her head around and saw Arcanine behind her. "You tracked me all the way here?" She asked. Arcanine didn't respond. He just lay down, looking sad and continued whimpering. "You're like me." The pinkette went on. "You have nothing left now. Nowhere to go." She looked thoughtful for a few moments, before it hit her. She got up and sprinted back to her village, where she found her own spear. She picked it up and turned around, finding that Arcanine was still following her. She smiled at him and said, "Loners gotta stick together, right?"

Arcanine was quiet for a few moments and then responded with a bark. The sun had set, and we close with Rebecca sitting on Arcanine's back, who lets out a howl, thus forming a new pack.

Well, I hope you guys enjoyed this. Now again, this is not meant to be a faithful parody of Primal, nor is it meant to be taken seriously. It's just a fan fiction for me to have fun writing about. But I still hope you guys liked it and will continue reading it. Please do leave a review and tell me what you liked and didn't like. I am fully open to negative reviews, BTW. I don't salty over it.
