Sorry if this one took a bit longer than expected. I got caught up watching Arcane on Netflix (which was pretty damn good. Recommend you give it a watch if able) alongside working on my other two fics.
Should probably point out that I'm writing all these as if they take place just after the events of the dock incident, so they don't include anything from past Chapter 28 in terms of what happened story wise.
Thanks and shout-out to SwapAUAnon for Beta Reading.

Description:
I believe the best way to describe Yang Xiao Long is that she is the type of person who would help someone learn to swim or ride a bike by pushing them into the experience, either by pushing them into the water or by setting them on a bike before giving them a shove. More often than not, she tends to be straightforward and confident regardless of circumstance, but she still maintains a strong sense of maturity, especially in social engagements with her teammates and those outside of her usual group.
In terms of combat, Miss Xiao Long is a physical fighter first and foremost, relying on fisticuffs and strength against her enemies. This is further enhanced by her main weapon, Ember Celica, a pair of duel shotgun gauntlets that fire explosive shots. Said long range attacks are, however, limited in that they can only be used at either close or mid-range, again, befitting her fighting sensibilities. As is to be expected of explosive shots, they carry a lot of recoil, but Miss Xiao Long has used this to her advantage, either utilizing the pushback to dodge certain attacks and maneuver through the air, as seen in her landing strategy during initiation, or by taking the momentum from the recoil and enhancing the force of her punches. Her past spars in combat class, particularly those with her sister, Ruby Rose, and Team BRNN's leader, Blake Belladonna, show that she's perhaps one of the most physically powerful students among our 1st year division.
Furthering her strength is her Semblance, Burn, which grants her the ability to absorb the kinetic energy of her opponents' attacks and redirect it back at them with twice the power. Complimenting this Semblance is her high levels of durability, as she often takes large amounts of damage in battle before using it to overwhelm her opponents through pure physical might. Her many fights have shown that her Semblance causes her Aura to form as a powerful flame around her, often making it seem as though her hair is ablaze, though it has also been shown to set itself on fire whenever her anger flares up, in addition to turning her eyes a hue of red that greatly resembles those of her biological mother, Raven Branwen.
That is perhaps one of Miss Xiao Long's biggest flaws in combat; her anger. She tends to lose herself to it in battle, which often leaves her open to enemy attack and makes her rather predictable and highly reckless. Exacerbating this is that she tends to rely heavily on her Semblance, taking in as much damage as possible before unleashing it back at her opponent. While she has made good use of it, this enhanced strength means nothing if she cannot hit her opponent. This also shows that she tends to prefer physical prowess over skill and finesse, which has caused her problems when facing more skill/technical fighters such as Miss Belladonna, who also specialize in avoiding attacks. A reliance on power may help for a short while, but in the long-run, it is more detrimental then one might expect, especially when faced with opponents that can either avoid the onslaught, or can withstand it long enough to strike back. This is a lesson that Miss Xiao Long has yet to learn.
In spite of such shortcomings, she still proves to be a noble, spirited young women with a taste for adventure and excitement, as well as a loyal friend to those she cares deeply about.
Extra Notes:
* As seen in weapon maintenance class, she has proven quite adept in mechanical work on an identical level to her sister. Unsurprising, since Signal Academy students create their own weaponry.
* Among her teammates, she is closest with Pyrrha Nikos, having formed a strong connection with her during her first semester here. Outside of her team, she is closest with her younger sister, Ruby Rose.
* While she is the lowest performing member of her team academically speaking, she is still well above average and is consistent in her grades.
* She is highly defensive of her hair and has a tendency to lash out at anyone who damages it. Two notable examples were Jaune Arc and Blake Belladonna, the former of which she chased around the arena until she was stopped by Professor Goodwitch and the latter of which she knocked clean out of the arena and into the bleachers.
* As stated before, she is the biological daughter of Raven Branwen, a former friend of ours prior to returning to her tribe.
That's it for Yang. Like I said before, I'm writing this as if it was written shortly after the events of Chapter 28, so you won't find anything here that pertains to Pyrrha's crush on Yang or Yang's developing feelings for Pyrrha. I don't even know if that's something Ozpin would comment on anyway.
Next one will be Weiss, then after that, Tsubaki, then that will be all for the student files since all the major Beacon characters will be covered.
