A Titan's Second Chance Chapter 2

Rajin swam through the water, away from the island, pondering what he just saw. What kind of Titan was that? None that he had ever seen in his lifetime, and he saw a blue alien ape thing and an acid-spitting dragon beast for God's sake.

He wondered if the little one ever made it back safely, he hoped so. Maybe he should have escorted her just to be safe. Putting that aside, he needed a place to rest for the night. Rajin dove deeper until his stomach grazed the ocean floor. He let himself sink into the floor before curling up.

"What was that weird purple thing? More importantly, why was I stupid enough to put my hand through it? Fucking idiot, Rajin. Damn idiot."

"But what was that little girl? She's clearly some type of kaiju, are humans starting to evolve? No, Rajin. Evolution doesn't happen overnight. Besides, clearly, humans haven't grown an inch here."

He huffed before closing his eyes and drifted into sleep. For about an hour. Wait a goddamn minute, he can't rest now, he needs to find that vortex. He pushed himself off the ground and made his way to the surface. Rajin looked around to find nothing but water and the setting sun.

"Hmph." Rajin gritted his teeth as he felt something bite his tail. He trashed his tail around and whatever bit him let go. He slammed back underwater to find that Manda from earlier.

"Back for more, I see?"

The Manda roared before charging at the Gojiran. A smirk growing on his face, Rajin flexed his claws before swiping the lower jaw of the serpentine Titan, nearly tearing it in two as the water around it turned crimson. Manda screeched in pain its wound began to close and heal itself.

Turning back to Rajin, Manda bit onto his arm and began to wrap his body around his neck. Rajin clawed at Manda's body, drawing more blood, but it only caused the serpent to tighten its grip. The Gojiran opened his jaws and bit down on Manda's hide, eliciting screech as it unwrapped itself from his opponent.

Rajin charged at Manda and grabbed his jaws, the serpent wiggling and wrapping its tail around his arm, but to no avail. Rajin placed his foot onto the Titan and ripped off Manda's jaw with a sickening squelch.

The corpse sank to the bottom as the red water got even redder. Rajin made his way to the surface and looked at the sky. "Hmph. Sundown, by the time I'd got to that island it'd be night."

The Gojiran let out a yawn as his eyes grew heavy. "Man, I've never been this tired before. Ah, fuck it." Rajin dove back underwater and made his way back to the seafloor. Letting himself softly land on the floor, he curled up and closed his eyes.

General Gyozen sat at her desk inside the Global Defense Force's main base of operations, analyzing the blurry footage of the strange kaiju attack.

The woman had hazel hair tied up in a ponytail with matching eyes. Her outfit consisted of a light blue shirt with matching pants and a black vest above the shirt. The most notable thing about her was her big rack and rear end. Her eyes darted from left to right as she replayed and slowed down the footage to help get a better understanding of the kaiju.

The footage however didn't allow much and only gave the overall body shape and color. She took note of the more animalistic features such as the claws and razor-sharp teeth along with the bulkier body and scales.

"What kind of lab did you escape from?" She murmured.

She wondered if the thing was even female, or was it some weird-ass another gender that doesn't exist. She figured it was too aggressive with the claw swipe and that roar of its. Goddamn, that thing had some intimidating vocal cords.

The thought of how the Kaiju Girls would handle the thing crossed her mind, she doubted the Queen of the Monsters could deal with it by herself, hell, maybe it'll take her status, or even worse, or better for Gyozen, eliminate her.

She quickly brushed those thoughts away and continued studying the footage until a pop-up warning flashed on her screen reading, "General Gyozen to the beach immediately." She quickly stood up and made her way down to the beach to a sight she'd never forget.

Down on the beach laid the corpse of Manda, the skin had nearly lost all its color as crimson blood ran down the open wounds and jaw with bits of bone sticking out. The sight nearly made her vomit, but she swallowed and headed to a group of women in front of the dead Titan.

"Ah, there you are, General."

"Any indication on this thing?" Gyozen asked.

"Not yet, but we can tell it lost to whatever that thing was earlier by its injuries."

Gyozen thought to herself, were these the original kaiju that are now rising to take the planet? No, they would have found out by now. But hell, anything is possible.

"I want all travel by air and sea restricted to GDF personal only. We don't know how many of these new specimens are out there and if they're hostile."

"Yes ma'am."

The sun beamed through the water's surface and hit Rajin's eye, making him shift away from the glare.

His eyes slowly opened as a school of fish swam past. A yawn escaped from his mouth and he shook his head. He pushed himself off the ocean floor and breached the water's surface and looked around.

"Hmph. I should go back to that island and see if that girl's okay." Rajin held up a finger in the sun's direction to remember where that island was. He turned to his left and dove underwater.

Nearly an hour had passed and Rajin rose from the water and looked at the beach. It was just as quiet as before, then again it was early in the morning.

He walked onto the sand and looked around, only seeing the tree line. He flared his nostrils and began to walk to the tree line.

"Oh! There you are!" Said a familiar voice.

Rajin turned around to find the little girl walking up to him. "I knew you would come back."

This caught the Gojiran by surprise, "Y-you did?"

"Yeah!" She beamed.

"Huh. Say, I never caught your name."

"Godzilla Jr. But everyone just calls me Jr."

"Oh. So Godzilla is your?"

"She's my mom."

Rajin's eyes widened for a brief moment before shaking his head. "I see. So it's just you and your mom?"

"No, there are others."

He nodded.

"Can I ask you something? Why is your voice so deep?" Jr asked.

Rajin titled his head, "What do you mean?"

"It's just that I've never heard such a deep voice before from a girl."

Rajin's eyes widened, "Oh, no no no. I'm not female. I'm male."

Jr titled her head, "A what?"

Rajin mentally slapped himself, "Should have seen that coming. Her mother's Godzilla for fuck's sake. Hell, I bet the humans are all female too."

"It's like the opposite of a female."

"Oh, I guess that makes you the first male."

"Yeah. So, what is this place?"

"Infant Island."

Rajin nodded, "I see."

"You want a little tour of the place?"

"Sure."

"Come on then."

"Lead the way." Rajin followed the young girl as they walked into the trees.

The two strolled almost the entire island until coming to a stop by a lake.

"That's about everything there is to the place."

Rajin hummed, "A little surprised we haven't run into your mother or anyone else yet."

"They're probably out fighting with each other, must have just missed them."

"I see."

"Rajin, since you're male, what pronouns do you go by?" Asked Jr.

"He, him, his."

Jr nodded, "Gotcha."

They both perked up to the sound of someone calling out for Jr. "Oh! That must be my mom, let me go get her, don't go anywhere." She said before running off.

"Don't plan to." He said with a smile.

He waited for a second before Jr came back with someone.

"-This is the one who saved me yesterday from that thing."

Coming from the trees was Jr's mother, the Queen of The Monsters.

She stood a bit higher than Rajin's shoulder, resembling her daughter in many ways. Her dorsal plates her sharp and fully developed with three rows going down her back and to the tip of her tail with two small ones on her head. She had long black hair that went down to her backside with one curly strand out. Her eyes were the same ruby color as her daughter's and her outfit consisted of a one-piece that hardly covered her breasts and other areas.

Godzilla took a step back as she saw the male Gojiran.

"Pleasure to meet you, Godzilla." Said Rajin with a smile. "Name's Rajin."

Her face softened, "Likewise." She said as the two adults shook hands.

He just now realized, the scent he'd been following, came from her. But why? Why her? It's so strange.

"So I hear you're the one who saved my daughter?"

"That would be me, yes."

"Well, then I have to thank you for that, she means a lot to me and I don't know what I'd do without her."

Rajin gave a nod, "Don't mention it. It was nice meeting you but I can't stay much longer."

Godzilla titled her head, "How come?"

"Well, as you can tell by just looking at me, I don't belong here, in this world and I need to get back home."

"What do you mean by, "in this world"?" Asked Godzilla.

"Well, have you seen anything remotely like me before?" He asked.

"No."

"That's because I come from a different Earth, one where kaiju look more like me."

"Then how the hell did you find yourself here?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.

"That's the weird part of this situation. In a nutshell, I was out investigating when I discovered a purple, swirling vortex."

""A what?"" Asked the two Kaiju Girls.

"I know, I know, stupid. I was following a blood trail that went into it, I got bad vibes and tried to leave, then I saw white."

Godzilla and Jr were left stunned and in disbelief from what they just heard.

"I know, hard to believe. But it's true, so I can't stay, so I best get going." Rajin began to turn around when a hand grabbed his shoulder.

"Hold on, Rajin. I know we just met but, you think there's a way I could help?"

This caught the Gojiran off guard, "You want to help me?"

"Well, you did save my daughter's life after all, it's the least I could do."

He smiled, "I appreciate that, but I'm not sure what you can do."

Godzilla hummed, "Then how about this? Hypothetically speaking, you don't find your way back, you're welcome to stay here for the night."

"I am?"

"Yeah, you can stay as long as you need. Any hey, if things don't work out, we don't mind having a male around." She said as Junior nodded in agreement.

"Huh." Rajin smiled, "Thank you, I appreciate that, I really do."

"You're welcome, it's the least I can do for what you did. Which I can't thank you enough for."

"You're welcome. I'll see you two around, well, your friends as well." He waved before turning around and walking away, back to the beach.

"She's nice. Maybe that's why I managed to pick up her scent."

Rajin took one last look to see Godzilla and Junior walking off before diving into the ocean.
