16 Hope's Peak graduates are invited to a "Best of the Best" reunion in a mysterious castle on an island. When Monokuma arrives and begins the killing game, it's only a matter of time until someone is killed. Who will be the blackened, and who will survive? Will contain descriptions of death that may be triggering to some. SYOC CLOSED (16/16 accepted)

1. Chapter 1: Introduction

Hello everyone! Raindrops here with a story of hope and despair set in a mysterious castle. This is an SYOC open to anyone, but there are, as always, a few rules we must discuss.

1) I will only accept submissions via Private Message.

2) I will only accept characters that are original and created specifically for this story. No doubling up.

4) I will accept at most one foreign exchange student, possibly zero. Keep your character Japanese for a better chance at acceptance!

5) The premise is that your character is a graduate of Hope's Peak Academy invited to a mysterious castle on an island for a "Best of the Best" reunion.

6) As such, THE CHARACTER IS NOT HIGH SCHOOL AGE. They can be any age you like from a fresh graduate to a senior citizen.

7) Also related is that your character can have any talent, including canon talents.

8) Once your character is accepted, I reserve the right to alter them or their backstory however I choose for the purposes of this story.

9) The deadline is September 1st/Once I have accepted 16 characters. Don't wait up - I could accept the first 16 characters I receive depending on how good they are. Be careful not to lose your chance!

10) Have fun! The character will turn out better if you enjoy creating them, trust me.
