Ahem: a collection of stories from my older sister's birthday last year that I am now posting individually.

Rules: I shall put my music library on shuffle and pair her top 10 ships with the first 10 songs. Each ship gets a story related to the song with decreasing times: ship #1 gets 10 min., ship #2 gets 9 min., ship #3 gets 8 min., etc. So ship #10 is a hot mess 1 min. panic attack.

You don't HAVE to listen to the song first...but you might want to. And author's notes are bolded.

6. ScarlettxRhett (Gone with the Wind) - "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again" from The Phantom of the Opera - 5 min. timer

Yet another one of my personal favorite ships. Combined with Phantom. Hmmmm.

Scarlett lay in a heap at the end of her once grand staircase. She hated that damned staircase. She hated that damned man. And yet how much would she give to have him reopen the door, come to her, sweep her up in his arms, and never let her go?

How could he have left her like that? How could he have gone? Teardrops rolled down her fair cheeks and stained the fabric below.

She was asking the wrong question. Where had he gone and how could she get him back? That was what she should be focusing on. Because somehow, somehow, she knew they would fall back together. It was written in the stars, the push and pull of their love.

Oh, if he had only waited. If he hadn't been so rash. Then, they could be here together instead of just her, all alone, wishing he were somehow there.

HHHHMMMMMM.
