A/N:
Hi guys! Welcome to my new fanfic. This is basically a "spin-off" I guess of my first fanfic Butterfly Kisses. It's essentially going to be a collection of songfics that capture important moments in the lives of our favorite characters. If you have an idea for a song I can use feel free to make a suggestion. All comments and criticisms are welcome!
I'll Always Remember You-
I always knew this day would come.
"10 more minutes" thought Marinette Dupain-Cheng as she prepared to close the biggest chapter of her life so far.
We'd be standing one by one.
Francois DuPont 's graduating class of 2022 began to line up by last name to walk into the school auditorium where their families awaited them.
With our future in our hands, so many dreams, so many plans.
It seemed like just days ago that Alya, Adrien, Nino, and Marinette we're sitting in the bakery with their college acceptance letters in their hands. They had all applied to UCLA in America and had all been accepted. Marinette would be studying clothing design along with business. Alya would be majoring in journalism while Nino studied film. Adrien, to everyone's surprise, had decided to study medicine in hopes of becoming a pediatrician.
I always knew after all these years, there'd be laughter, there'd be tears.
It had now been months since they were all accepted and none of them could believe that the day had finally come. Marinette and Alya had spent the majority of night before in tears at the thought of leaving everything they know. Later that night, however, Nino and Adrien showed up with a surprise for their girlfriends. Unbeknownst to the girls, Nino had been filming various moments throughout their senior year. He worked with Adrien to compile them into a video for the girls to watch. The four friends spent the entire rest of the night watching the video and reminiscing on their years in school together.
But never though I'd walk away with so much joy but so much pain, and it's so hard to say goodbye.
Marinette did her best to keep her composure. The class walked out onto the stage, eyes watering, and received their diplomas.
Yesterday's gone. We gotta keep moving on.
As she waited her turn, Marinette thought back to the week before when her teachers had given their goodbye speeches. Each one talked about how happy they were to get to know the group and how sad they were to see them go. What stood out most to Marinette was a comment about how excited her teacher was to see what they go on to do and how hard they know it's going to be to move on. Marinette didn't really process what that meant until now.
I'm so thankful for the moments, so glad I got to know you.
The times that we had I'll keep like a photograph and hold you in my head forever. I'll always remember you.
At the end of the graduation ceremony, the entire class was asked to get together for their final class picture. They were told that a copy would be mailed to every student with a specialized frame so they would never forget the people that helped to build them.
Another chapter in the book, can't go back but you can look. And there we are on every page, memories I'll always save.
5 years later, a pregnant, nostalgic Marinette decides to pull out her senior year yearbook. As she flipped through the pages, she also relived each and every moment they captured.
Up ahead on the open doors, who knows what we're heading towards?
As they entered the doors of their high school for the first time in a decade, Marinette and Adrien Agreste had no idea what they were walking into. As hard as they tried, the only former classmates they stayed in touch with were Alya and Nino. They hadn't seen most of the others in years and had no idea what was happening in their lives. All they knew was that they were excited to get to be back in their high school days, if only for one night.
I wish you love, I wish you luck. For you, the world just opens up.
Yesterday's gone
We gotta keep moving on
I'm so thankful for the moments
So glad I got to know you
The times that we had
I'll keep like a photograph
And hold you in my heart forever
I'll always remember you
Everyday that we had
All the good, all the bad
I'll keep 'em here inside
All the times that we shared
Every place, everywhere
You touched my life
Yeah, one day, we'll look back
We'll smile and we'll laugh
But right now we just cry
'Cause it's so hard to say "goodbye"
Yesterday's gone
We gotta keep moving on
I'm so thankful for the moments
So glad I got to know you
The times that we had
I'll keep like a photograph
And hold you in my heart forever
I'll always remember you
I'll always remember you
Yeah, hey, yeah, yeah
I'll always remember you
A/N: That's chapter one I guess. I wish I could've done more with the lyrics at the end but I honestly think everything I wanted to do is covered by what I did write. I hope you enjoyed this chapter and like I said, if you have any suggestions let me know. See you in the next one!
