That was until Kyoko left two twin babies at Lory Takarada's doorstep with a note saying to give them to their dad. Six years later Kyoko is ready to begin a family relationship with the twins she abandoned. Can love win?

1. Chapter 1

AN: Since the original Our Twins had so much love I thought about doing a switch on it as a second fanfic and seeing what kind of response it got.

Also, I had someone tell me that they "skim through my stories" and either they don't like them or understand them. I just want to remind you that there are actually thousands of Skip Beat fanfics on this website (and I'm assuming more on other sites and Tumblr) you are always welcome to read something you find more enjoyable. I actually would prefer it if you didn't like my work to not read them at all. Sorry if that makes me sound like a B.

Our Twins – In Your Place

Chapter One

Lory Takarada had always had control over his household. He had always been able to be the one who was unpredictable but he was rarely surprised. Well, that was a lie. About seven months ago there were two major changes to the agency that had surprised him. First of all, not really much of a surprise but Kuon had left the agency because he had been accepted into an American agency and landed some jobs for himself. That had been six months ago and Lory felt he had to pressure the boy into leaving. One month earlier, Kyoko had decided to leave the agency and had run out on Kuon leaving him without saying anything. That had been hard for the man. He had given up so much because of love and it was the woman who he had loved who had betrayed him.

Kuon had been desperate to find her and wanted to do that instead of going to America and Lory had had to convince him, telling him he would tell him as soon as Kyoko was in Tokyo again. After her trip to Kyoto though, she had seemed to have fallen off the map and even Lory's own trips down to the Fuwa ryokan were fruitless in finding her.

That meant that the couple he had been rooting for had broken up. Still, hopefully Kuon was doing okay in his career and Kyoko had been taking care of herself. Lory was about to take a morning swim when he heard the crying of an infant. He froze and came down to the front door where on the step were indeed two babies with one of them wailing. They looked less than a month old.

What were they doing there? Where was their mother? He wasn't an adoption agency so why would they be brought to his door?

Lory picked up the basket, treating it with great care and brought it in. His eyes caught onto a card slid between the two babies.

Please, I can't take care of them anymore. Please give them to their father – Kyoko

Lory stared at the writing on the card. Their father? He had to assume that these were Ren's - no Kuon's children. He couldn't believe that Kyoko had just left the infants here. Thank god he had been home. He didn't want to imagine these two being left out in the cold for too long.

"Their father, hmm?" Lory thought about it. He sighed before looking at the time on his watch, it was the middle of the night for Kuon right now and he should at least be prepared for this. Fatherhood. Was Kuon ready for a step in this direction?
