Female Davis after moving back to her hometown in America discovers something amazing. The cartoons she loved as a kid and still enjoys now are real! As if finding out Disney was real nine years ago was cool! But now, Demiyah is told she's a warrior destined to save the Magical Nexus, the name for the Cartoon World! Can she do it?

1. Chapter 1

Guardian of The Magical Nexus

Based on the Toon Master fanfic series, Captain N the Game Master, Kingdom Hearts, and in a slight bit Both series Huntik and Kingdom Keepers. Female Davis. Near usual multi cross for her.

The Nexus Wand has always protected us from the Darkness by choosing a wielder.

But now it refuses a user.

The darkness is getting stronger in every world connected to the Nexus.

We can only hope Penny, Max, and Terry can find the destined user.

Chapter 1: Music in The Heart:

It was a sunny day in Reefside, California. A fourteen year old girl is seen riding a bike. She was dressed in a pink short sleeve t-shirt, blue jean shorts, white socks with rainbow embroidery, and purple sneakers with blue stars and rainbow laces. On her right wrist was a silver bracelet with a pink gem and pink stars. On her left wrist was a silver watch with a pink band. She wore a blue ribbon in her raspberry pink hair and on her back was a Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers backpack. Her mom hunted online for weeks for it and had gave it to her as one of her birthday presents. She was in eighth grade and still liked cartoons. Most people in her age group were over cartoons or watched the 'adult' ones. The girl, Demiyah Oliver didn't care. She loved the time and effort put into the animation. Plus the slang was fun to use in day to day life. She got some odd looks using words like Nutbunnies, or the ever funny Sweet Cheese. Demiyah was sitting at the traffic light on her bike when she saw what could have been a shooting star but it was the middle of the day and she couldn't be late for school.

Demiyah was sitting in her science class, the last class of the day before lunch. It was Friday and she was glad for the early release days. Even if she had no club meetings she was greatful to leave early. Demiyah was also glad she lived in a different country than the other Digidestined. After their huge fight she stopped playing music. She couldn't find her inspiration anymore. Her parents understood but continued to pay the fees for her website that held all of her music people could either download or order cds. Demiyah walked out of the science lab and grabbed her school books out of her locker and shoved them in her backpack. She ran to the bike racks and unchained her bike. She rode off campus to the local McDonalds near her favorite thrift store. Every time she went there she found some merch of her favorite cartoons. On one occasion she found a custom Buddy Blue plush from Rainbow Brite. She loved cartoons and even drew pictures of her favorite ones. She idly wondered if the cartoons she loved were real. After all, people said that Disney was fake and she knew better. So theoretically it was possible. Demiyah ordered a ten piece chicken nugget meal large with a coke. She saw the display for Rainbow Brite toys. She asked the guy at the counter, "Which ones do you have?" The guy said, "All of them save for Buddy Blue. We sold out of him." Demiyah said, "Give me one of each toy too please." He didn't know why an eighth grader wanted them. Unless she babysat. Most people learned to put up with her eccentric personality. Though the citizens of Reefseide missed hearing her sing.

After lunch, Demiyah rode over to the McDonalds next to the mall and got a soda and found a Buddy Blue toy. She walked through the Reefside Mall and to her pleased surprise found a retro cartoon/toy shop. Demiyah went a bit overboard but was determined to complete the DVD collection she had. She returned home at about two thirty. Her dad still had staff meetings and council meetings so he wouldn't be home until seven at the earliest. Her mom would be home later than normal too. She had gotten slammed when a fist fight broke out causing a lot of broken teeth. So her mom was harried with patients needing fillings, root canals, extractions, or even needing all three. So Kim told Demiyah she'd most likely be eating dinner with just the cats.

Demiyah clicked on the tv to watch the four pm showing of Bubble Guppies on the Nick Junior network. When the show was over there was a knock on the door. Demiyah said to herself, "That's weird. No one ever comes out my way very often."

Demiyah opened her front door to reveal, "Max Sloan, Penny Brown, and Terry McGinnis! I knew I was right! Come in please." Demiyah served drinks and asked, "To what do I owe the pleasure?" Max said, "I hate to say this Demiyah. But...we need your help." Demiyah asked perplexed, "My help? With what?" Penny replied, "A few months ago, a powerful darkness began spreading accross the cartoon world. The Magical Nexus we call it. There was a legend of a sorceress wielding a powerful wand who defeated the darkness. But during the Countdown to Destruction she died and the darkness now free began to slowly take over our world. The Oracle of Delphius spoke of a Hero from this world. And we believe this Hero is you." Demiyah asked, "Okay. But what makes you think I'm the one? There are a lot of heroes in this world." Terry replied, "The Oracle said it had to a Hero with a powerful Light despite the Darkness she once was immersed in. As far as the magic users we have in our circle can tell your the only one who fit the description." Demiyah said, "Okay. I'll help. Just let me lock up first and leave a note for my parents saying I went out."

Demiyah watched the magical portal passing around them. It was an amazing sight. The group of four landed in front of a beautiful palace. A man walked up and said, "My daughter is this the one the Oracle spoke of?" Penny replied, "We can only hope father." Demiyah spoke up, "Even if I'm not this destined warrior, know that I will do everything I can to protect this place." The man smiled, "I thank you miss Oliver." The man led the group into the palace where Demiyah saw a group of Knights surrounding a black and white rabbit in clothes similar to a friend of hers. Demiyah screamed at the Knights, "What are you doing?!" The leader of the Knights said nervous, "Milady, please. We are trying to capture this Darkness spy." Demiyah said firmly, "He is no spy." She turned to the rabbit and crossed her fist over her heart. "Hail and well met King Oswald of the Wasteland. Elder brother to King Mickey Mouse of Disney Town. I am Keyblade Master Demiyah Oliver. Youngest disciple of Keyblade Master Eraqus." The rabbit, Oswald mimicked her gesture, "Hail and well met Master Demiyah. I am King Oswald Rabbit Keyblade Master and Guardian of the Wasteland. I came with news of the Phantom Blot. He has joined forces with the darkness." Penny's father told the Knights to patrol and not harrass visiting royals. The leader of the Knights said, "You majesty we were only looking after the Kingdom." Demiyah recognized the voice and immediately drew her Keyblade Radiant Miracles. Pointing it at the Lead Knight she said firmly, "Reveal yourself Luxu you traitor. Or do you prefer Xigbar. Second in command to the fallen Keyblade Master Xehanort?" The 'Knight' removed his helmet indeed revealing Xigbar, "Sneaky little brat." He drew his arrow guns but Demiyah was quick to disarm him and bodily threw him out of the palace. The actual Knights were awed at the fourteen year olds show of strength and kindness.

Arriving at an amazing place full of holographic planets Demiyah asked, "Where are we?" Penny said, "This is the room where our Royal Mages watch over the world with the Magical Nexus. Each world has it's own unique purpose in the wider universe." She pointed to a world that was very colorful. "For example, Rainbow Land creates the colors for the Universe. And this one," Penny pointed to another world that looked to be a kingdom in the clouds. "is Care-A-Lot. It's job is to spread good feelings and joy to the Universe." Demiyah said in amazement, "Wow. That's so cool." Max said, "Glad you think so missie. Beacuase if the Oracle is right about you, it'll be your job to bring light to each and every one of these worlds." Demiyah said, "There is a weapon of some kind right? What is it exactly?" Terry said, "It's called the Cosmic Wand. According to legend, the spirit of the last Queen of the Silver Millennium hid the wand here. With the requirement that the user be kind of soul and pure of heart. However, if the person has True Belief, whatever that is, then they will be able to access even stronger powers. No Guardian has ever activated this so called power. Now come on. We need to go to the temple where the wand is waiting."

Demiyah was amazed seeing the Xiaolin Temple from the show Xiaolin Showdown. She was mesmerized at the architecture. Demiyah walked through the courtyard as the chosen dragons and the actual dragon watched her head to where the Cosmic Wand waited. Even Jack Spicer watched in pure and eager anticipation. But before Demiyah could take hold of the Wand, a dark figure blasted the case and sent it to the middle of the Nexus' main city. All over the citizens watched as the trio of teens fought off the shadow creatures so the girl they hoped was the new Guardian could claim the wand.

Demiyah grabbed the wand and she heard a voice, 'Do you believe it is possible to be victorious?' Demiyah replied in her mind, 'I believe that EVERYTHING is possible.' The voice said, 'I grant to you Demiyah Serena Oliver, my full power True Believer. Now say this phrase.' Out loud Demiyah said, "Shine forward through the Darkness, Light of Mystic Hope!" A bright glowing light wrapped around Demiyah as the one controlling the shadow creatures said, "The legend was true?!" When the light dispearsed, Demiyah had her hair up in twin pigtails tied with sky blue ribbons. She wore a white dress with a gold belt around her waist with gems the colors of the rainbow, a pair of silver leggings were under the dress, and white gladiator sandals with pink ribbons twining around her legs. A pale blue choker with a pink heart shaped crystal was around her neck. A pair of pale blue petal gloves were on her hands. Topping off the look was a small gold tiara with light pink heart shaped crystals in her hair. She spun the wand as if she had fought with magic all her life. The creatures master attacked her but with her background Demiyah dodged each attack like a pro. "Stardust Scorcher!" A blast of star dust hit the monster as it dissolved turning into a black crystal. Demiyah picked up the crystal. Tossing it into the air she pointed the wand at it and said, "Moonlight Purification!" A stream of light hit the crystal turning it white and freeing a familiar child. Demiyah said, "Oh stars, your Steven Universe! How did you turn into that?" Steven said, "A strange black mass grabbed me from the Gems. It was near a strange man. The black mass took me because the man said that I was the biggest influence of positive energy."

Demiyah in her guardian wear escorted Steven hom and was thrilled to see Jasper, Lapis, and Peridot. Asking meekly for a picture. Jasper sighed but agreed since even she was respectful of the Nexus Guardian.

A man was trying to close everything in Beach City. Saying, "It obvious this little tourist trap is so negative that business would so shut it down. And that whacko mountain thing has to go." Demiyah still in her Guardian wear, "How about a little contest? Three performers from both sides. Steven's side and your side. Steven's side wins you leave and never return." The man who Demiyah swore she knew said, "Deal."

Three perforemrs for the man and two of Steven's side went. But they didn't have a third performer. Pearl said, "Give us a few moments and we will have one. Take an intermission so the audience can take a bathroom break and eat." Steven asked, "Demiyah why don't you sing?" Demiyah said, "I don't sing. Not anymore. I used to all the time. I loved it." Jasper asked, "Then why don't you anymore?" Demiyah said, "People I thought were my friends were only using me. When their betrayal came to light I stopped doing a lot of the things I loved doing. I couldn't hear the music in my heart anymore." Steven said, "What was it that caused you to first hear the music?" Demiyah said, "My parents." Steven said, "You love to sing right?" Demiyah said, "Yes I love music." Steven said, "So, just because some people were mean and tried to use you doesn't mean that you shouldn't do what you love. Keep doing it and prove that you don't need their so called friendship. You have actual friends who care about you and love seeing you happy." Demiyah heard her Heart's music again.

The man said, "Well looks like you don't have a third performer so it looks like my side..." "Still has to wait for the winner to be decided. I'm the third performer." Demiyah held a pink guitar. She strummed the guitar as she started to sing.

The man who was revealed once again as Xigbar fled with his minions when Demiyah restored the positive energy and Light to Steven's world. Steven said, "You did it Demiyah!" Demiyah smiled softly, "Actually, if anyone was the hero today, it was you Steven. You helped me find the music in my heart again. So this is your victory today."

Before leaving Steven and his dad gave Demiyah a pink and blue swirled guitar with a star on it. Steven said, "It's to say thank you for bringing back the Light." Demiyah ruffled Seven's curly hair and accepted the guitar.

Back at the Nexus Palace the king said, "Lady Demiyah I am so proud of how you handled your first real fight and mission. You did wonderfully. The battle isn't over yet and I fear the next world to be in trouble would be one that has an important job to it." Demiyah said, "You can count on me your majesty." A familiar duck walked up to her, "Master Demiyah how nice to see you again." Demiyah smiled, "Professor Von Drake good to see you. What's this?" Professor Von Drake said, "It's a Gummicom. It's like a Gummiphone only with the portal app you can create a portal to this world and back again. As well as open portals to world's you've been to once you go the first time. Steven's world has already been added. Each time you go to a new world it's data will be added to the Gummicom. Also take this, it'll be helpful when you go to other worlds. It's enchanted to hold unlimited items and let any item you could need appear in your hand if you need it. The second spell doesn't work with any type of food." Demiyah said, "I need to get home. But if need me you can call me on the Gummicom." Demiyah activated the portal to her world and returned home. To her surprise, she was barely gone an hour. The Wand was now a key around her neck on a chain. Demiyah was writing in her song nnotebook when a familiar number appeared on the display of her phone, "Hey there Scott what's up?" Scott who was the manager of the arena where local musicians could perform for crowds and sell their merchandise after said, "Demiyah I know you haven't released anything new in six months since moving back here but I need an act for tomorrow. No one can do it." Demiyah said, "Sure thing. What time and how long will I have on stage?" Scott asked, "You'll seriously do it? What changed?" Demiyah chuckled, "A new friend helped me find the music in my heart again is all Scotty." Demiyah and Scott worked out the arrangement as Scott proudly advertised that Demiyah was having her return concert tomorrow.

The next day, Demiyah came down in one of her better outfits. Tommy asked, "Going shopping or going on a date?" Demiyah chuckled, "Neither. I'm performing at the park arena today. I found the music again."

Demiyah rode down to the arena for the first time in a long long while happier than she had ever been. Once at the arena she got her set up finished and loaded her song list. All of it was new. However, unknown to her Professor Von Drake was broadcasting the concert to all of the Mystic Nexus.

Demiyah smiled as she shouted, "Thank you all for coming out today!" The entire arena was packed. Everyone cheered for her. Demiyah took a deep breath and began to sing a smile on her face.

Everyone who knew Demiyah could see she loved her town and would defend it with her life. So her saying she would be there for them felt nice. For the people whose Worlds were connected to the Nexus it meant she would protect them with everything she had.

The sheer thought of the fourtten year old Guardian simply wanting to be their Friend seemed to make her seem more relatable. Especially to the Nexus residents who didn't have many friends.

Demiyah: You're insecure

Everyone cheered at the upbeat and happy song. The message of inner beauty, light, and happiness was rather obvious. All to soon it was time for the final song. Demiyah smiled softly. She decided to save her best for the last number in the show.

Everyone wether at the arena, watching at home, or were watching Professor Von Drake's broadcast was amazed. Demiyah had passion and determination to be a good Guardian. Buddy Blue said, "She has a lot of enthusiam. I can't wait for her to come to our World so we can meet her." Rainbow Brite said, "I can't wait to meet her. She seems like a wonderful person."

After the concert, Demiyah was hugged by her mom. Kimberly Oliver said, "Sweetheart you did so great. And I love all the new songs. Are they available on the website yet?" Everyone at the arena heard the question. Demiyah replied, "Tonight at six pm same time as always for new song releases." Demiyah signed lot's of autographs, posed for pictures, sold a lot of her merch, and accepted fan gifts. All day she had a good day with thankfully no Nexus emergencies. She did tell her parents she was travelling to new Worlds and fight darkness again. But like with most of her adventures she didn't tell them everything. Just the basics as they requested. This way she could update her status at school. So if there was an emergency during school hours she could leave.

When she went to bed that night cuddling her plush Rainbow Brite doll, she thought, 'This is a new adventure.'
