11:35 A.M. – W.O.O.H.P. Headquarters, Jerry's Office
"So, what brings you here today, spies?" Jerry asked as the group of fourteen spies walked into his office. "It's very unusual to see you just enter the office all by yourselves."
"Well, Jerry, we all talked it over, and we've come to a decision," Klee proclaimed, smoothing down her jacket. "Since I've finally regained my memories, it's time for me to head back to the future so we can stop whatever Corvus is planning to do with our future selves."
"That said, is the Time Twister working properly, Jerry?" Nick asked.
"It should be," Jerry answered. "RiCO?"
"Scanning now," RiCO replied, closing her eyes to check on the Time Twister. "Yup, it's functioning perfectly!"
"I assume you are all heading to the future with Klee as well?" Jerry wondered.
"Pretty much," Sam stated. "Since Corvus did say something about our future selves, so we can safely assume he's incapacitated at least some of them."
"With strength in numbers, it should be a cakewalk to beat his robed keester into the floor!" May proclaimed.
Nothing more needed to be said as Jerry led the spies to the room where they housed the Time Twister...
...only for the Time Twister to suddenly activate, lightning spiraling along its tips.
"Did any of you touch it?" Bridget asked.
"Definitely wasn't me!" Alex exclaimed.
A black-and-blue bubble of energy formed above the Time Twister's "landing pad" before swallowing itself up to reveal a girl who was about twenty-five years old.
This girl had tied up long, light green hair with a streak of blue, fair skin, and amber eyes, with a pair of black round spectacles, and she was wearing white gloves, black-rimmed glasses, a blue corset with a ruffled hem, and a pair of white boots and black thigh-highs with garter.
Sucrose looked around for a couple seconds, wondering if she'd made it to the right place, before glancing at Klee and smiling.
"I knew I'd find you here, Klee," Sucrose giggled.
(Don't just sit there and waste your precious time. When you want to do something, do it right away. Do it when you can. It's the only way to live a life without regrets.)

Episode 1: Wake Up, Get Up, Get Out There
It took a couple seconds for what had just happened to register, but both Klee and Kana were suddenly very excited to see Sucrose, as evident by them both rushing up to hug the green-haired girl.
"S-Sucrose! How did you find us?!" Klee gasped.
"Well, I was finally able to lock on to your X-Powder signal," Sucrose answered, flipping her own X-Powder open to show her the tracking program. "We had no idea why we couldn't lock on until just recently, though..."
"Probably because I was finally able to un-lock the restricted data on my own X-Powder," Klee quipped. "Corvus must have done something to that data when he wiped my memories..."
That name definitely surprised Sucrose when she heard it. "Wait, Corvus is the whole reason you and Kana got sent back in time?" Sucrose gasped.
"Yeah, that jerk's the one," Kana quipped. "He's planning to put everyone in the future under some kind of spell."
"Um, could we get a footnote of some kind?" May asked. "Do you know this girl, Klee?"
Klee smiled as she turned around and gestured to Sucrose. "Of course! This is Sucrose, and she's basically our science teacher at W.O.O.H.P. in the future!" Klee explained.
"She's a really talented scientist," Kana stated.
"I'm just doing my part," Sucrose giggled.
"Okay, as nice as this is, we should probably get going," Clover proclaimed. "After all, we have a robed lunatic to thump, don't we?"
That was all that needed to be said as the fourteen spies, Kana included, stepped onto the Time Twister.
"How far ahead are you guys going?" RiCO asked.
"Twenty-one years from now," Klee answered.
"Good luck, everyone," Jerry proclaimed.
With that, RiCO activated the Time Twister, and the entire spy team was swallowed up by another black-and-blue bubble of energy that vanished quickly.
1:37 P.M. – Beverly Hills, Twenty-One Years in the Future
When the bubble dissipated and the spies could see again, they couldn't help but marvel at the neon landscape of Beverly Hills twenty-one years later.
"Wow, this place is amazing!" Alex gasped.
"Talk about going all-out with the neon aesthetic," Bridget laughed.
"I think it looks really cool," May quipped.
"All right, so, where's W.O.O.H.P. in this future?" Sam asked. "Because there's so many buildings, it's hard to see where headquarters could be."
"I can lead you guys there," Klee stated. "Follow me, everybody!"
Klee broke into a run before jumping into the air and flying off towards the neon city in the distance, with the spies in pursuit.
"It's nice to see that Klee hasn't changed much, huh?" Sucrose laughed. "I hope she's been helpful to all of you in the past."
"Oh, it's been a lot of fun," Nick admitted. "And she actually played a part in helping us solve some of our cases."
"That's just like Klee," Sucrose replied.
As Klee continued to soar through the sky, her mind was focused on one thing and one thing only: finding Corvus and putting an end to his schemes for good.
Mama? Papa? Everyone? Don't you worry, Klee thought. I'm coming to the rescue. Just hold on a little bit longer.
"You gotta tell us how Klee's helped you out in return," Sucrose told the team.
"Well, just recently, she guarded one of our acquaintances, Queen Tassara of Lyrobia," Mat replied. "And that's just for starters."
"Seems like she's already made a name for herself," Sucrose commended.
"Oh, I think the whole list would surprise you," Nick quipped, obviously proud of Klee's actions since she joined them.
"And she certainly made progress because the first we heard of her was her flying into our beach house last summer and grabbing Nick right away," Clover replied.
Sucrose was obviously surprised at hearing that, too.
The spies continued to move forward until Bridget was the first to spot the W.O.O.H.P. building. It was unchanged from the past.
"Why change a good thing?" Haruka quipped.
"Hopefully our beach house hasn't changed either," Alex stated.
The spies knew they didn't have time to look there.
"And hopefully Jerry never brought G.L.A.D.I.S. back either," Clover added, thinking back to the times she'd been a pain.
"Something tells me he did," Melissa replied.
"I'm willing to bet money RiCO's still in the future," Nick deduced.
"By the way, Kana, what's your role at W.O.O.H.P. in the future?" Mat wondered, which got Sam interested, too.
"Same as I did while you were on your missions, dad," Kana replied with a grin. "I helped Jerry and the others in his office. It works out since I can't get in yours and mom's ways at all."
"That's an understatement," May laughed.
Bridget came to a stop directly outside of the building entrance.
"Any idea if our future selves are anywhere near here?" Blaine wondered.
"Only one way to find out," Klee emphasized.
She used her W.O.O.H.P. ID badge to get clearance to come in.
"Let's get going, then," Nozomi quipped.
"By the way," Klee told the main spy trio. "In case you're wondering, you did keep your beach house and everything."
"Totally awesome!" Clover exclaimed.
"Safe to say that Sam and Alex tied the knot for sure in the future," Britney predicted.
"Ooh, I can't wait to see that," Sam giggled.
"Oh, no kidding," Alex laughed.
"Well, for now, let's get the details about where our future selves are," Bridget proclaimed.
The spies reached Jerry's office to find out where Corvus' whereabouts were.
"Where do we start?" Britney wondered.
"Oh, that's an easy one!" a familiar voice proclaimed as the device at the top of the (much larger) viewscreen aimed downward and projected the image of a very familiar companion into the room.
"Hey, RiCO!" Nick exclaimed. "How've you been doing?"
"Pretty much the same as always," RiCO giggled. "Should I say 'it's good to see you again' or 'nice to meet you all', considering you're different from the main gang?"
"Wait, you knew we were coming?" Sam asked.
"With the way Sucrose just tore off when Klee's X-Powder signal, I figured something must have happened," RiCO answered. "And lo and behold, I was completely right!"
"Is Jerry still around?" Bridget asked. "It's quite a ways into the future, after all."
"Boss man's still kicking, despite the age gap," RiCO replied. "Right now, he's checking in with some other agents to find a lead on possible targets."
"You mean Corvus," Klee proclaimed. "He's up to something, I'm sure, and I'm willing to bet he's already made his own jump back here."
"Hey, RiCO, can you read me?" a voice blared from the viewscreen.
"Hold on just a second, I gotta take this," RiCO quipped as she waved her hand to change the viewscreen to a video of Future Sam and Future Mat. "What's the sit-rep, you two?"
"We spotted Corvus skulking around the industrial sector, but he got away from us, so we're heading back to HQ to re-convene," Future Sam proclaimed.
"And... still any sign of our missing?" RiCO asked.
"Nothing so far," Future Mat answered. "We can assume that only Corvus knows exactly where, since he's the one who took..."
Future Mat trailed off when he and Future Sam noticed the spies of the past in the office, and then they broke into wide, happy smiles when they saw Kana among them.
"K-Kana?! Is that actually you?!" Future Sam gasped.
"Yeah, mama, I made it home!" Kana giggled.
Future Sam and Future Mat quickly exited the scene, ending the video call. About a minute later, they were both back in the office hugging their daughter.
"Oh, dearie, we thought Corvus did something to you, too!" Future Sam exclaimed.
"Nah, he just sent me back in time like he did Klee," Kana replied. "I'm doing a-okay!"
"Hey, RiCO said something about missing people you're searching for," Haruka stated. "What's Corvus up to now?"
Future Sam and Future Mat suddenly seemed hesitant to answer that question.
"Is it because of what Corvus did to my mama and papa?" Klee asked.
"Wait, what did Corvus do to your parents, Klee?" Melissa asked. "We never did get an answer about that..."
"Basically, when I found out that Corvus had taken my parents for his schemes, I went after him," Klee explained. "I actually managed to get him into a corner, but just before I could finish the job and apprehend him, he used a powerful dark spell that wiped most of my memories and threw me backwards in time. But I guess he couldn't erase all of my memories, because despite me not remembering who my parents were initially, I still felt that pull that guided me to all of you."
"That's our daughter, all right," Alex giggled. "That would explain why I haven't heard anything about future me or future Nick since we got here..."
"But now the question becomes, why did he snatch future me and Future Alex specifically for his scheme?" Nick wondered.
Suddenly, the alarms began to blare in the office.
"Sounds like we've got trouble," Nozomi stated.
"When do we not?" Britney laughed.
"...okay, point," Nozomi admitted.
Jerry swiftly appeared on the viewscreen, though there was absolute chaos going on behind him.
"Jerry, what's happening over there?!" RiCO proclaimed.
"We have engaged Corvus in the residential area," Jerry responded as he continued to dodge and weave through various attacks, still pretty spry for someone in his possible eighties. "May and Mona are holding him off as best we can, but..."
"Never fear, Jerry! Backup is on its way!" Klee proclaimed. "All right, everyone, let's get going!"
"Amber and Sucrose are already on their way," Jerry stated. "Please hurry, before..."
Sadly, the call ended when something struck Jerry's communicator, disrupting the video feed.
"Sounds like he's really stepping up his game now," Sam stated. "What's the game plan, Klee?"
"...wait, you're letting me lead the team for this one?" Klee gasped.
"Well, Corvus is pretty much your archenemy, so you'd probably be best suited for this one," Sam replied.
"Thanks, Sammy," Klee giggled. "All right-y, then. Sam, Mat, you stay with Kana and your future selves and help RiCO search for my missing parents. Mama, papa, May, you're coming with me to kick Corvus where it hurts. The rest of you, head into the city and try to find the other future us'es. We might need their help by the end of all of this."
"ROGER!" everyone shouted as they all split off into their respective teams.
I hope you're ready, Corvus, Klee thought. Because you're about to get stomped.
2:41 P.M. – Future Beverly Hills, Residential District
("Counter Strike" by Lyn plays)
"Eat scalding water, sleazeball!" Mona shouted as she dove to the right to avoid another dark blast before aiming her Ultra High Pressure Water Cannon towards Corvus and firing a wave of scalding hot water towards him.
Corvus simply deflected the attack with a wave of his hand, though this left him open from behind, a fact that Amber gladly took advantage of by throwing a pair of Incendiary Earrings that stuck to Corvus' back and exploded, flooring him almost instantly.
This allowed Future May to close in and start wailing on him with her anchor, which, while a little rusty from over decades of use, still hurt like hell.
"Now tell me what you did with Nick before I really decide to hurt you!" Future May shouted.
"Don't act like you're ever going to see him again," Corvus cackled, catching Future May's anchor in mid-swing before yanking it away and blasting it with a bolt of pure darkness, shattering the anchor into pieces. "And now, I think it's time you joined those two."
"Back off!" Sucrose exclaimed, blasting Corvus away with a Cyclone Blast Hairdryer.
"You're starting to make me angry, you little wretches," Corvus snarled. "And that rarely ever happens anymore, so..."
Corvus quickly rushed Sucrose and grabbed her by the shirt collar before lifting her into the air and aiming his free hand for her face.
"So sad that you had to lose your head in the middle of a mission," Corvus chuckled, his free hand glowing with dark energy.
"Hands off, sleaze-face!"
Corvus only had time to look upwards before being blasted backwards by two separate Final Shine Attacks, one neon-green and one aqua-blue.
Nick, Klee, Alex, and May rushed onto the battlefield, much to the shock of Future May and Mona, their gadgets and powers at the ready.
"This nonsense ends here and now, Corvus," Nick proclaimed. "We've had enough of you constantly giving us the runaround."
"Yeah, we're putting you away for good this time!" Alex shouted.
"Well, well, look who finally showed up," Corvus taunted. "I must admire your persistence, so much that you'd follow me through time itself."
"That was always the plan, buddy," Klee shot back, her aura flaring to life around her. "Your delusions of grandeur are gonna be shattered right here!"
"About time you got back, Klee," Mona teased as she, Sucrose, and Amber moved to join them. "I figured you wouldn't want to miss the party."
"Hey, are they part of W.O.O.H.P., too?" May asked.
"Yup! They're part of my team!" Klee proclaimed, gesturing to each member of her team. "You've already met Sucrose, our resident smarty."
Klee then pointed to Mona, who had pale green eyes, long black hair tied into two long pigtails with a gold compass ornament on the end of each pigtail, and a compass-like gold earring on her left ear. She was wearing a purple and black leotard with gold lining, purple sleeves and black gloves, along with a short purple cloak with red lining, buttoned with a compass ornament hanging above her chest, a small purple witch hat on her head decorated with gold decals, black ribbon and another compass ornament. "Mona here is our athlete type, much like Alex."
Then, Klee gestured to Amber, who had long dark brown hair and gold eyes, and was wearing a jumper-like outfit composed of dark brown leather shorts, a red hoodie-like top, red stockings, and white thigh-high boots embellished with gold linings and symbols. She also had many accessories decorating her outfit, including a leather belt with two small bags, white gloves, a small belt on her right thigh, and gold-framed goggles, and most distinguishingly, a headband with a large red bow that resembled bunny ears. "And this is Amber, who's kinda boy-crazy at times, like Clover," Klee stated.
"The symmetry is real," Alex quipped.
"But we'll talk more about everyone else later," Klee finished as she and her team got into formation. "We've got a baddie to trash."
"Even twenty-one years later, that fact will never change," Nick laughed as he, Alex, May, and Future May all prepared for battle. "Let's drag this creep's face through the dirt!"
"No way you're gonna go into battle without us!" Bridget proclaimed.
Future May looked a bit skeptical, but agreed to having Bridget and the others join.
Mat opted out of the battle until further notice to get Kana to safety.
"Now, believe it, buddy boy!" Nozomi exclaimed to Corvus. "We WILL settle this HERE AND NOW!"
"And don't think for two seconds that you're gonna make a break for things," Future May proclaimed.
May and Future May doubled the fun with their trusty anchors.
"Should I be scared?" Corvus taunted.
Nick answered to that with a psychic shot of his own directed for Corvus' chest.
"That better speak a lot of volumes..." Nick proclaimed.
"That does to me," May laughed.
Future May took a chance to see to it to at least trap Corvus with her own anchor while Corvus was still flat on his back.
"My turn now!" Amber exclaimed as she reached into her Jetpack Backpack and retrieved what appeared to be a large plush duplicate of herself, but with long rabbit ears. "Go, Baron Bunny!"
Amber tossed the Baron Bunny towards Corvus, even though this only caused Corvus to smirk.
"Resigned to throwing toys?" Corvus taunted before blasting Baron Bunny with a dark blast, only for Baron Bunny to then explode violently, the explosion knocking Corvus for a loop and allowing both Nick and Klee to pepper Corvus with various psychic blasts.
"And don't leave me without action," Mona added, jumping in to throw something under Corvus as he attempted to pick himself up. It appeared to be a small, pill-like capsule, but when it collided with the ground underneath Corvus, it exploded into a large, localized whirlpool that sucked Corvus in.
Klee then used her psychic powers to execute an attack of her own.
"You're mine now!" Klee boasted.
Unfortunately, Klee never got a chance to commence her attack because Corvus managed to move the two anchors around for him to use his cloak to disappear.
"YOU BASTARD!" Sucrose exclaimed.
Corvus just cackled.
"We'll meet again momentarily," Corvus taunted and attempted to disappear.
"Not this again!" Britney chastised.
Nick stopped him with a psychic shot of his own and put a hole in Corvus' good cape.
"We said NO ESCAPES, CORVUS!" Nick emphasized.
"How's it feel to know you can't use your sleazy disappearing act?" Clover quipped.
"Now, you WILL answer to all of us!" Bridget proclaimed.
Future Sam and Future Mat hung back to keep Kana safe from harm.
"By the way," Future Sam told Mat. "There's something about Future Clover that the current Clover should know..."
"What's that?" Mat wondered.
Future Sam brought Mat forward and whispered the news in his ear...
...and that left Mat completely shocked.
"...seriously?!" Mat quietly proclaimed. "She's in early pregnancy?!"
"Uh-huh," Future Mat quietly answered. "With Blaine as the father, of course."
"Face it, buddy boy," Alex quipped. "It's OVER for ya!"
"Am I supposed to be intimidated?" Corvus laughed. "Sorry, but I've been there too many times in the past to let that kowtow me."
"As long as we're here, you're not even going to get close to hypnotizing all of Beverly Hills!" Nick shouted.
"Wait, that's his plan?!" Mona exclaimed. "Why did he need to throw Klee back in time for that?!"
"And that's another thing that you still haven't answered, Corvus," Klee growled. "WHERE ARE MY PARENTS, YOU JERK?!"
"I'm not obligated to tell you that, you know," Corvus laughed. "So just give it up."
"Oh, I wouldn't be too sure about that," Bridget quipped as she transformed into Sonic Mode. "You wanna see something Nick and I cooked up?"
"What hope do you think you possibly have?!" Corvus taunted.
"We'll show you," Nick responded as he moved to stand next to Bridget. "With a little something we like to call..."
Just to make sure, Klee slipped behind Corvus and snatched him in her psychic hold, leaving him wide open to Nick and Bridget's incoming attack.
"...the Purple Comet Attack!" Nick and Bridget shouted as they flew into the air.
Bridget made the first move, using her boosted speed to land a super-powerful flying kick against Corvus that sent him flying into the air.
Nick struck next while Corvus was still reeling, flying to just above him and hitting him with a psychic pulse wave that sent him crashing back to the ground.
Nick and Bridget quickly flew down to intercept him, lashing out with multiple strikes (Bridget's were noticeably faster thanks to Sonic Mode) before sending Corvus back into the air with dual flying kicks.
"Ready, Nick?" Bridget exclaimed.
"Let's stomp 'em!" Nick shouted.
With that, Nick and Bridget charged, attacking Corvus nonstop from multiple angles, making it look like the villain was being pinballed around in the air.
For the final strike, Nick and Bridget flew back a few feet, then charged through Corvus at the same time, sending him both crashing to the ground.
"How's that for a stomping?" Bridget proclaimed.
Corvus quickly got back to his feet and unleashed a dark shockwave that forced everyone to move to avoid it.
"Why continue this pointless struggle any longer?" Corvus responded. "There is simply no way you're going to foil my plan once all the pieces are in place. And wouldn't you know it, all of the pieces are almost in place."
"You're really starting to get on my last nerve, Corvus," Nick growled. "Stop dodging the question or you're going to regret it."
"Whatever could you mean?" Corvus taunted, only for Nick to slug him in the face with a wicked right hook.
Not finished yet, Nick raised both hands to charge up, then clapped them both together to unleash a Shining Star Attack, blasting Corvus point-blank with a wave of silver light.
"Now cough it up," Nick snarled. "I'm through playing games with you."
"If I must," Corvus chuckled. "I have your future self and his lover in my lair, as I need them for my plan to fully come to fruition. Good luck finding them before it's too late, though."
Corvus threw a sphere of darkness to the ground, which exploded to cover the surrounding area in a dark mist. When Nick was able to clear the dark mist away with a psychic pulse, Corvus had vanished completely.
"I hate when they do that," Amber groaned.
"Okay, good, so it's not just us," Alex giggled.
"Okay, so now that things are calm for the moment," Mona quipped. "Did all of you get younger or something since the last time we saw you?"
"I was waiting for someone to ask us that question," Clover laughed. "We're not sure if you got the memo, since you were busy fighting robe boy, but we're from the past."
"We came along with Klee to help her take down Corvus once and for all," Alex continued. "And to find out where future me and future Nick are."
"It is wonderful to see that you are doing all right, Klee, despite Corvus' underhanded schemes," Future Jerry proclaimed.
"Well, I got by with a little help from my friends," Klee giggled.
"RiCO said the rest of our future selves are spread out through the city, right?" Melissa asked. "Searching for Corvus?"
"And the members of his cult," Future Jerry replied.
"...wait, robe boy's got a cult now?!" Clover gasped.
"Apparently, they're people that he has either brainwashed or coerced to adopt his way of thinking," Future Jerry explained. "It was this cult that kidnapped Nick and Alex, so we have been searching for them as well, hoping that one of them will lead us to our missing agents."
"I'm still kicking myself for letting that one guy get away from me," Future May sighed. "If Corvus hadn't interfered, I might have been able to..."
Nick was quick to pick up on Future May's distress, realizing that she had probably been that close to finding Future Nick before Corvus and his minions had interfered.
"Hey, that's why we're here," Nick responded, walking up to Future May and putting his hand on her shoulder. "We're gonna find them. That's a promise."
Future May couldn't help but smile as she dried a few tears from her eyes before hugging Nick. "It feels like forever since I've heard that," Future May replied.
"And that, right there, is why I love this guy so much," May giggled as she walked over to kiss Nick on the cheek.
"All right, then, everyone," Klee proclaimed. "Here's the new game plan. Let's all do what our future selves did and spread out into the city. If you find anyone who belongs to Corvus' crazy cult, pump them for information that we can use to find Corvus' lair, because that's most likely where mama and papa are being kept."
"Sounds like a plan to me," Amber stated. "I've been itching to get back at that cult for a long while now!"
"Get in line, Amber," Mona chuckled.
"Okay, everyone, move out!" Klee exclaimed.
With that, the spies all split apart to head further into the city and find Corvus' cult, and hopefully answers.
3:59 P.M. – Downtown Future Beverly Hills
"I wish I knew what we were looking for," Mat replied.
"Believe us, Mat," Mona quipped. "We already know..."
"Well, care to explain?" Melissa requested.
"Is this on that 'cult' that Future Jerry spoke of?" Haruka wondered.
"Definitely," Sucrose answered.
"Future Jerry briefed us on it," Mona pointed out. "They're basically a large group of people that Corvus either brainwashed or convinced to join his side."
"Sounds like he's got some big plan," Melissa answered.
"And considering it's, well, a cult, they could possibly cause just as much damage as Corvus could," Sucrose replied.
"Hardly ever good news with our rogues' gallery," Alex groaned.
"When was it ever good news?" Bridget replied.
"Good point," Mat chastised.
"All right, let's focus on what we NEED to do," Sam told the group in her leader tone.
Everyone searched high and low for Corvus or anything out of the ordinary.
Corvus watched from a high building and just cackled at the team.
"Your days of doing good are over, spies!" Corvus laughed.
With that, he pulled his disappearing act using his other arm and side of his cape.
"Maybe we're looking in the wrong spot," Alex told the others.
"I don't think so, Alex," Nozomi pointed out.
"We know he's around here somewhere along with our future selves," May added.
"We just better be ready," Mat quipped. "Almost like the next target in skeet shooting per se."
Nick used his psychic radar to scan the area for any anomalies.
The spies then came across their old hangout, The Groove, which was virtually unchanged.
"Good to know the Groove is still around in this time period," Clover stated.
"But how many eateries have come and gone?" May wondered.
"Certainly no taste of food back home," Mat commented.
"Don't I know it," Dawn commented, remembering back to sampling some food back in their post-mission vacations to Hawaii.
"You girls should've heard Amber when she found out Future Mat is from there," Mona told the current spies.
"Oh, that was priceless," Klee laughed.
"Let's just say she was totally speechless," Sucrose told them.
"Hey, Alex is always excited about Hawaii after all," Mat replied.
"Of course," Alex laughed.
"I'm honestly wondering if Hawaii's changed much in this future," Mat admitted. "I'd like to see it at least once before we have to go back to our own time."
"Can I say I totally saw that coming?" Amber laughed.
Nick kept quiet, knowing that Corvus was approaching them, thinking he was going undetected.
He keeps forgetting that I'm a psychic, Nick thought.
"Once we find Future Nick and Future Alex, let's see if they wanna join us," Clover quipped. "I'm sure they'll need some relaxing time once this is all over..."
A large blast of dark magic flew towards the spies, but Nick spun around and raised a psychic barrier to protect the group, and the blast fizzled out harmlessly against the barrier.
"I would call you out for attacking us when our backs are turned, but you're a bad guy, so I'd expect it," Nick proclaimed.
"Press every advantage you have, I say," Corvus chuckled.
"I'm through playing this runaround game with you, Corvus," Klee growled, her aura flaring to life around her. "Tell me where my mama and papa are or I'm gonna punch a hole in that concave chest of yours!"
"So violent, little Klee," Corvus retorted. "I assure you, we'll have our final clash soon enough. In the meantime, why don't you play with my little friends?"
And with that, Corvus vanished from sight.
"Wait, what did he mean by 'little friends'?" Amber asked.
"INCOMING!" Haruka shouted as multiple blasts of dark energy started coming their way. Nick and Klee joined hands and focused their powers together, encasing the entire group in a large psychic bubble to protect them from the barrage of blasts.
It turned out that the blasts had come from a large group of people all wearing cloaks that resembled the one Corvus wore.
"And I'm gonna assume that this is his cult?" Britney quipped.
"There are far more than just us," one member proclaimed in a monotone voice.
"You will not stop our master's plans," another member stated.
"Oh, great, they've all got the drone voices!" Alex shouted.
The cult members continued to fire dark blasts at the barrier in hopes of piercing it, until Nick and Klee decided they'd had enough and popped the large bubble to send all of the cult members flying backwards.
"Remember, we need to take a couple of them in for questioning," Sucrose proclaimed. "So try not to go too ham, okay?"
Nick and Klee would have responded to that if they hadn't been staring in wide-eyed shock at two particular members of the cult as they picked themselves up again.
Their hoods had fallen down after being blasted back, thus revealing their identities.
Alex looked completely shocked.
Klee had a few tears in her eyes.
And Nick wanted to stomp Corvus into the ground more than ever before.
"M-Mama?" Klee gasped. "P-Papa?"
Sure enough, Future Nick and Future Alex were under those cloaks, their eyes dull and lifeless, their hands glowing with dark magic, and advancing on the spies with obvious intent.
To be continued...
On the next episode...
May: Hold on, am I seeing this right?! So Nick and Alex's future selves are part of this cult now, too?!
Nozomi: Oh, I'm pretty sure I know who's behind that.
Alex: Ooh, now I wanna rip and tear mister robe boy into a billion little pieces!
Nick: Get in line, sweetheart.
Sam: We need to figure this out, everybody! Does anyone know how we can snap them out of it before things get worse?!
Future Nick: ...your fate is inevitable. Our will is Master Corvus' alone.
Klee: All right, I've had about all I can stands, and I can't stands no more! Corvus is gonna pay DEARLY for roping my mama and papa into his sick schemes!
Nick: Couldn't have said it better myself, Klee.
May: Well, readers, things are setting themselves up to get crazy again, as they tend to do with us. You definitely do not want to miss the next act of Totally Spies: Our Beginning, "Rivers in the Desert"!
Nick: ...oh, I see what you did there, mister scriptwriter. Gotta say, I'm impressed.
