Summary: Drew decides to take Angelica and Zoey over to the swimming center in order to avoid being cooped up in the house.
It was a beautiful sunny day in Yucaipa, California at Drew's house as He and Angelica were relaxing when the telephone rang.
"Hello, Pickles Residence" said Drew.
"Hello, Mr. Pickles, this is Zoey's Grandmother" she said.
"Ah, hello" replied Drew.
"My husband and I were wondering if you could babysit our Grand-Daughter while we take care of some errands" asked Zoey's Grandmother.
"No problem at all" replied Drew. "I'll take her and my daughter over to the swimming center for some excitement" he added.
"That would be wonderful" replied Zoey's Grandmother. "We will be over at your place in a little while" she added.
"See you then" replied Drew as he hung up the phone. "Angelica" called Drew.
"Yes daddy" said Angelica.
"Your friend Zoey is coming over today and to keep you both busy, we are heading over to the swimming center" said Drew.
"Alright, I can't wait" replied Angelica.
"We better get our things ready" said Drew.
"Okay daddy" replied Angelica.
In no time, Drew and Angelica had their things all ready for the swimming pool. Then the doorbell rang and Drew answered it and waiting there were Zoey's Grandparents and Zoey herself with her bathing suit and a bag of pool toys.
"Hello, Mr. Pickles" said Zoey's Grandmother.
"Hello everyone" replied Drew.
"We thank you for being able to watch our Grand-Daughter" said Zoey's Grandfather. "We'll be back for her later" he added.
"No problem" said Drew. "Take your time" he added.
Zoey's Grandparents got in their car and drove away as Zoey was led inside the house where her friend Angelica was waiting to go.
"Hi Angelica" said Zoey.
"Hey Zoey" replied Angelica as the two girls embraced one another.
"I hear we are gonna go to the swimming center" said Zoey.
"Yeah, I brought a few things for us to play with while we are there" replied Angelica.
"I brought a few things for us to play with too" said Zoey. "We are gonna have so much fun together" she added.
"Yeah, I can't wait" replied Angelica.
"Alright girls, ready to go" asked Drew.
"Yes" replied Angelica and Zoey in unison.
Soon, everyone was in the car and on the road. Eventually, they reached the swimming center and got their gear unloaded and all settled.
"Alright that's everything" said Drew. "You two have fun, I'll be on the other end of the pool if you need anything" he added.
"Okay" replied Angelica and Zoey in unison.
Drew then got into the pool and swam towards the other end.
"My daddy gotted these diving pool rings for us to play with" said Angelica.
"Cool" replied Zoey.
"We just throw these in the water and see how many of them each of us can retrieve and bring them all back to the surface" said Angelica.
"Alright, I'm up for some competition if you are" replied Zoey.
"Ready, set GO" said Angelica and Zoey in unison as they dove simultaneously into the pool.
Soon, both girls were searching for the diving pool rings while coming up to the surface every twenty to thirty seconds from being underwater for some air.
"Few" exclaimed Angelica and Zoey in unison.
"I found three rings" said Angelica.
"I found three rings too" replied Zoey.
Then the girls headed back underwater to search for the rest of the rings. Eventually, they found the remaining rings.
"I got three rings again" said Angelica.
"I got three rings again too" replied Zoey.
"We found them all" said Angelica.
"We did a good job finding them together" replied Zoey.
The girls then got out of the water as they got ready to play the next game.
"My Grandma and Grandpa gotted these pool hoop rings for us to play with" said Zoey.
"That's cool, what do we do with them" asked Angelica.
"It's easy, we see if we can swim through these rings in a row underwater" said Zoey.
"Let's do it" replied Angelica.
Soon, the girls got the pool hoop rings all set up. Angelica dove underwater first and swam through all four rings.
"Few" said Angelica as she got up to the surface for air. "It's fun swimming through the rings" she said.
"My turn to try" said Zoey as she dove underwater and swam through all four rings.
"Few" said Zoey as she got up to the surface for air" "We are both very good at this" she said.
Angelica and Zoey took several turns swimming through the pool hoop rings until they were ready for their next pool game.
"My daddy said we could use these plastic bottles and fill them with pool water and hide them in the bottom of the pool" said Angelica.
"Cool" replied Zoey. "I think the game is called Invisa-Bottle" she added.
Soon, both girls got the bottles filled with pool water and hid them in the bottom of the pool.
"Alright, let's see if we can find them all" said Angelica.
"It will be a little tricky since the clear bottles blend well with pool water, but we can do it" replied Angelica.
Then, both girls dove into the water to search for the bottles while coming up to the surface every twenty to thirty seconds from being underwater for some air.
"Few" exclaimed Angelica and Zoey in unison.
"I found two bottles" said Angelica.
"I found two bottles as well" replied Zoey.
The girls headed back underwater to search for more bottles. Eventually, they each found three bottles.
"I got three bottles" said Angelica.
"I got three bottles as well" replied Zoey.
"Only two left to find" said Angelica and Zoey in unison.
The girls gave it one more effort to find the bottles. Soon enough they each found one bottle.
"I found one" said Angelica.
"I got one as well" replied Zoey.
"We found them all" exclaimed Angelica and Zoey in unison.
The girls got out of the water for a few moments to catch their breath for their next game.
"I know, why don't we hold our breath underwater while we are swimming" suggested Angelica.
"Sounds good to me" replied Zoey.
Soon both girls were underwater swimming along side each other and holding their breath. Of course, both girls had to come up to the surface for air before continuing.
"Few" exclaimed Angelica and Zoey.
"I'm certain fishes have an easier time staying underwater longer than humans" said Angelica.
"Yeah, sea creatures are different from human air breathers" added Zoey.
Then both girls went underwater and swam and resurfaced for awhile until they were ready for their next game.
"I brought a beach ball for us to play a game called air ball" said Zoey.
"How do you play" asked Angelica.
"It's easy, we have to try and keep the ball in the air as we pass throw it towards each other without letting it touch the water" replied Zoey.
"I'm game" said Angelica.
Soon, both girls were laughing and having fun playing air ball.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha" laughed Angelica. "Here Zoey catch" she said as she threw the ball.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha" laughed Zoey. "I got it" she said as she threw the ball back.
This continued until their arms were getting tired and ready for the next game.
"My Grandma and Grandpa gotted these dolphin floaties that we can swim with" said Zoey.
"Sounds cool, but let's use our snorkles this time since dolphins leap in and out of the water" replied Angelica.
Zoey nodded in agreement. Then the swimming center transformed into the ocean as the girls saw dolphins leaping in and out of the water and splashed in after them and each grabbed hold of a dolphin and swam underwater and leaped along out of the water.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha" laughed Angelica and Zoey as they leaped along with the dolphins out of the water for a few seconds.
Then the girls were underwater again as they saw other fishes swimming around them as they held on to the dolphins. This continued until the girls let go of the dolphins and headed back to the surface. Then the scene changed back into the swimming center as Angelica and Zoey happily played with the dolphin floaties.
"That was awesome" exclaimed Angelica and Zoey in unison.
Soon, the girls came out of the water and got ready to play one more game.
"Aren't these floaties good looking" said Angelica.
"Yeah, doughnut floaties are awesome" replied Zoey.
"I'll use the vanilla doughnut floatie" said Angelica.
"And I'll use the chocolate doughnut floatie" replied Zoey.
Soon, both girls were afloat in the water with their doughnut floaties.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha" laughed Zoey. "This is fun" she said.
"Hey Zoey" said Angelica. "I can see my daddy on the other end of this pool, why don't we float on over towards him" she suggested.
"Sure" replied Zoey.
Soon, both girls navigated carefully across the pool towards Drew and they were soon within his sight.
"Ah, hello girls" said Drew.
"Hi" replied Angelica and Zoey in unison.
"You girls having fun" asked Drew.
"Yeah" replied Angelica and Zoey.
"How about we stop at the ice cream parlor for a sundae before heading to the house" suggested Drew.
"Yay" cheered the girls in unison.
Drew and the girls soon got their things all packed up and left the swimming center and stopped at the ice cream parlor for a sundae.
"Mmmm, I love this chocolate sundae" said Zoey.
"I'll take any flavor as long as it was sweet" replied Angelica.
Eventually, the girls finished their sundae's and everyone headed back to Drew and Angelica's house and rested.
"Your Grandparents will be here shortly to pick you up Zoey" said Drew.
"Okay" replied Zoey.
"Thanks for taking us to the pool and having ice cream sundae daddy" said Angelica.
"Your welcome" replied Drew as he headed toward his study.
"I had a great time with you today Angelica" said Zoey.
"Me too Zoey" replied Angelica.
"We were a Dynamic Dou" exclaimed Angelica and Zoey in unison.
At that moment the doorbell rang, It was Zoey's Grandparents as Drew answered the door.
"Grandma, Grandpa" exclaimed Zoey.
"Hi sweetie" replied Zoey's Grandmother. "Did you have fun today" she asked.
"Uh-huh, I had fun with my bestest friend today" replied Zoey.
"That's great to hear" said Zoey's Grandfather.
The Andersons bid good bye for the day to the Pickles as they drove off for home.
"Had a good time today with your friend pumpkin" asked Drew.
"Oh yes daddy" replied Angelica.
"That's great" said Drew.
Then Drew and Angelica headed into the house and called it a day.
