David Mason-Section POV 10:43 pm Location Vault CA, Santa Cruz

It has been a year since Raul Menendez is in maximum security prison. After his capture, the US government sent federal aid to the cities that were affected by the attack. After a couple of weeks of helping the people and looking for any dead remains, it shook the nation by surprise. He could still remember when the president gave her speech to the nation.

2 Weeks After Raul Caputuer President's Speech

Good morning America. I know that most of you want to know what had happened last month. Last month, the United States was invaded by Raul Menendez forces. Cities like Los Angeles, New York City, Santa Cruz, and states that affected were New York, New Jersey, California, Washington, and many other states that were affected.

The main reason that Raul Menendez was able to invade the US was that Raul purposely got himself captured. After his capture, Raul was sent to the Obama aircraft carrier to be interrogated. When the US marines try to get any information out of him, they were invaded by Raul forces and he was able to escape from containment. He was able to reach the headquarters and infect the Obama ship with the celerium virus.

We lost control of most of our AI equipment. Most of our soldiers in the Obama lost their lives and, more would be lost if it wasn't for Karma overriding the virus and the People Republic of China taking out Raul forces.

The following day Los Angeles was attacked by Raul forces. Most of the infrastructure was heavily damage and the loss of life was unbearable. Almost 65,000 lost their lives in Los Angeles. The following day, the US and China were able to locate Raul position, and sent over we sent over 200,000 US soldiers, and China sending 130, thousand soldiers. Both the US and China lost many good soldiers though we capture Raul Menendez. We flew him to a maximum prison where he will be trial and hopefully never be able to see the day of light. We also capture his followers, and they will be in trial.

Also, there is some information that all of you need to know. Somehow, Raul was able to get the celerium into our water systems. We are thankful for a civilian name Karma. She was able to get into the water systems and overtake the virus. Without her help, the loss of life would be greater.

There is a quote from President JFK, ' Do not pay for easy lives. Pray to best stronger men.' We shall grow stronger and rebuild what was destroyed. We are going to are already sending significant aid to Los Angeles and other to other cities some aid as well. In total, we lost:

51,894 civilians lost their lives with we are estimating another 26,000 in the hospitals

13,984 police officers lost their lives protecting people with another 1700 in the hospital

2793 soldiers lost their lives with another 800 in the hospital

Total damage is estimated to be around 75.34 billion US dollars

USA

83,473 civilians lost their lives and another 32,000 are in hospitals

18,789 police offices lost their lives and another 2500 are in hospitals

4269 soldiers lost their lives and 1000 are in hospitals

The total cost of the attack in the US is around $105.78 billion

After these events, the US and China will be conducting investigations in their respective governments to make sure there isn't anyone committing treason. We will work together, to make sure nothing like this event will happen. We will inform the public if we get any more information. May God bless us.

Normal Pov 10:45 pm

David kept walking to the building where his father and Woods live. When his father came back last year, he explains that he went into hiding in Alaska. Since the government thought he was dead, he lived there until his body could not handle the cold. He then moved to Nevada where he worked as a greater in a casino. They feel sad since Weevier died a couple a months ago. From all of their group, only Alex and Frank are the ones alive. Bowman died in Vietnam, Hudson was captured by Raul, and Weevier barely died recently.

Huh, Hudson. After the capture of Raul, the US government was able to convict 213 federal employees of treason. With more investigation, the government found out that 176 of the people work for Raul since he had captured their family members. The rest of the convict only wanted to be in the government to give information to Raul by their own will. It was surprising that two senators and three congress members were aiding Raul. Those that had their families in danger, were given 12 years of house arrest, probation for the rest of their lives, and were fine for millions of dollars. They would never work for the federal government anymore. To those that support by choice, they were sent to maximum prison for the rest of their lives.

In China, there were rumors that a fourth of major state employees were willing to work with Raul. This almost led to a power vacuum in the government. They were able to bring new personal, though now, the country is becoming a bit more democratic. This led to somewhat a better relationship with the US.

The US change quite as well. For starters, the 2nd Amendment became more popular. States like California, New York, and any more with heavy gun regulations lost support. Also, most of the population wanted the US to spend less on the military. The public got tired of protecting Europe since most nations didn't spend enough money to defend themselves. These events led to some tensions with European allies.

The Vault is the name where war veterans are sent when there is no one else to take care of them. His father and Woods spent most of their time catching up. When he went to visit them, they would tell some stories about their adventures. He took a week of vacation. He would visit them and later on would go and pay respects to Harper.

Santa Cruz Location- Normal POV 11:58 pm

The people were relaxing on this summer day. It was the weekend, and the people were at their homes cooking barbeque, on the beach, having picnics, or were at a birthday party. Most of them were getting ready since it was the US birthday, July 4th, 2026. 250 years, when it first declared its independence.

Since the invasion of last year, there was a notable cultural change. Open carry was more common and semi-auto rifles were easier to obtain.

Multiple sources estimate that for every 100 US residents, there are 115.3 guns, and 52.8% of homeowners own at least one gun. It also became popular that families would go to the local gun range to shoot. Almost 93% of the population had shot a gun at least once.

The kids were on the rides while the adults watch them on the chairs. Other families were eating some ice cream that was a dip in chocolate. They were getting prepare for the night festival for the 250th anniversary of US independence. Many of them bought fireworks and their cameras to capture the event. There was a stage where people were singing. A weird building began to appear. Little by little, the mass started to notice the building.

"Wow, do you guys think, the fireworks are located inside there?" asked one guy.

"No. This building appeared out of nowhere. Like magic," responded a teen.

"Do you think it is part of the military testing new technology? another person asked.

"At the start, there was an invisible building and little by little the colors of the building came into light," someone else talked.

"I going to call the managers, to see what is up," someone said. He began to call them on the phone.

The people kept on questioning themselves for a while. The building got all of the colors. It was mostly grey, but there was a light blue in the middle top of the building where the people were able to see. There was the same shape as the color blue on the sides of the building. However, they were getting their guns ready if they needed to defend themselves.

The other side- 12:55 pm Location-Brook Hill

Thousands of men were getting ready to invade the new land. Along with them, there was also another couple of thousands of beastmen. For air support, they 150 dragons air support, with 2500 cavalrymen. Lord Julias had led the army to battle before. He fought against the warrior bunnies, the battle of Chaos in the forest of Orges. He invaded many lands in the name of the Empire. Having 19 years of the battlefield and leading the army for 12 years.

"My lord," a soldier began talking, " our forces are ready to invade the lands that are beyond the gate. The second legion in Alnus hill, have begun their assault. More forces should be coming in 5 days. Our men are ready."

"Get the torches ready. Going through the gate without light would irritate the dragon and other beastmen,". Julias rode his horse in front of his men and began to give a speech.

"Today will be wonderful for the Empire. We shall be glory to ourselves and for our families. We shall gain riches, glory, slaves, and more. And when we come back, the land will belong to the Empire! We shall come back as glorious warriors! Come on comrades we shall set march through the gate." Julias ordered.

The soldiers began marching into the gate. They lit up the torches to make sure they could see in front of them. While marching, the men talked among themselves about how they will be glorious in the battle beyond the gate. They kept marching until they reach the end of the gate and began to prepare themselves.

POV David Mason - 12:57 pm Location Vault

He was talking with his father and Woods for a while already. They talked about old operations where Alex and Woods were part of. They were drinking soda while woods was still smoking. They had the tv running until David got a call. He excused himself and answer the call.

"Admiral Briggs, why are you calling me sir?" asked David. He had told Admiral Briggs only to contact him if there was an emergency.

"A police station in Santa Cruz had requested military support. They found a building that randomly appeared. They want to make sure the public is safe, so we were getting the US General Ford aircraft carrier near Santa Cruz. The local militia has been alerted. The governor wants to make sure that today's event goes smoothly. Since you are close to the area, I want you to go there and give us information about the building. If the situation calls for, you are allowed to engage." commanded General Briggs.

"Ok, sir. I will head there in an instant."

"Good luck Section."

David put his phone back and when he returned to the room. When he got there, his father told something about the news.

"Hey, son, there is a weird building that appears in the Boardwalk."

"Let me see."

David watches the news about the mythical building. He can see the police at the scene trying to get the people away from the building. The news reporters say that the local militia is getting set up.

"Admiral Briggs told me that I need to go there to help out. See you later father and you too Woods." After that, he went outside to see an AFV is already there to take him to the building.

"Section," the driver spoke, "Admiral Briggs informed me that our presence is needed at the Boardwalk." the soldiers said.

"Ok, take me there and be prepared for combat."

"Yes, Section."

POV Juan-12:58pm Location Santa Cruz

He was planning to be on the boardwalk for the whole day. He had his trusted Desert Eagle to use at the local gun range. Though he stops when he sees people are near a weird building. He comes closer and sees that the police are trying to get the people to back off.

The people then saw that the building door started to open up like a gate. The people were quiet. When the door opens up, they saw thousands of men in medieval amour. They saw a man on a horse moving near the police offices. He was talking. It was not English, but it was somewhat Latin. He only knows very little.

"Sir, get off the horse!" one of the policemen kept ordering. The man in the horse looks like the leader. He was still ignoring the police officer's order. He took out a sword and yell "Ego ad te occidere" and began to charge at the officer. Juan was able to understand that the person going to kill someone.

POV Julias 12:59 pm Location- The other side

Julias and the legion of men and beastmen are inside the gate. They are ready when the gate opens.

"Men, get ready. We are going to new lands that we have never seen before. We shall be victorious!" he cheers for his men. Then the gate opens up.

Julias sees outside of the new world. He can see people are around the gate. They do not appear any amour nor any weapons. He can see some beautiful women that they could enslave. He is to see men in blue clothes. They seem to come from the nobility.

"Look, men. They do not have any weapons nor shields to defend their lands. We shall kill them, take their and lands and their women as slaves."

He notices that a man in blue is trying to communicate with him. He gets his horse to move forward. He yells out "I am going to kill you!" His horse begins to run to the man and he pulls out his sword. He could see the man shouting and getting nervous. He was about to kill him when he falls the ground dead.

Normal POV 1:02 pm Location Santa Cruz

The police officer was about to pull out his gun to defend himself. The man did not get off of his horse and instead, the man began to charge with his sword. Before the man got to the police officer, there was a loud sound. That sound was known by the Americans. That sound could not be forgotten. The man that was charging at the police officer got his head decapitated. That sound was a 50 caliber Desert Eagle.

The people that came from the gate were quiet. They never heard such a sound. What surprised them the most was that Julias had his head cut off. What was the mysterious magic that the other world people possessed? For the first time, the man, meastman, and everyone in the legion were scared.

The sound from the shot travel throughout the gate. It kept bouncing from the enclosed walls. On the other side of the gate, a runner was about to see a message until he heard a sound. He stood there still. He had never heard the sound before, yet the sound commanded respect and especially fear.
