Chapter 1: Meeting
A/N:
Take these broken wings
And learn to fly again
Learn to live so free
When we hear the voices sing
The book of love will open up and let us in
Take these broken wings
Baby, I think tonight
We can take what was wrong and make it right, mmm
Baby, it's all I know
That you're half of the flesh
And blood that makes me whole
I need you so

When the MSBY game ended, Kageyama shot Hinata a quick text, saying they would meet him outside the locker room. The five of them - Hinata, Kageyama, Natsu, Akaashi, and Bokuto - were planning to go for a celebratory dinner after the game.
A half-hour later, the three spectators were waiting outside the locker room when Hinata and Bokuto emerged carrying duffle bags and hair still wet from their showers. Hinata hugged Kageyama tightly as Kags whispered in his ear, "I am so fucking proud of you." Hinata blushed and turned to hug his sister.
Natsu's smile was wide as she said "You were amazing, Shoyo." Hinata kissed her forehead and stepped back to make introductions. "Natsu, this is my friend Bokuto Kotaro. Bokuto, this is my baby sister, Natsu." They said hi, then Hinata continued, "And this is Akaashi Keiji, Kageyama's business partner. Akaashi, meet Bokuto Kotaro."
The two men reached out to shake hands and when their skin touched, a shock went up Akaashi's arm. Startled, he looked up to Bokuto's deep golden eyes and found him staring and continuing to hold his hand for longer than necessary. For a few seconds, he was mesmerized by the intensity of that gaze. Then Bokuto said, "Akaashi, you're so pretty," and Akaashi blushed profusely and dragged his hand from Bokuto's.
Kageyama and Hinata shared a look between them, raising their eyebrows at each other, but Natsu interrupted everyone's thoughts by saying, "Can we go eat now? I'm starving."
[Bokuto POV]
I was still pretty pumped from our win tonight. I played well and felt in my zone. And it was amazing to finally get to play with Hinata-kun. I'm so happy for him! He had it tough for the last few years but now he is doing what he loves and he's married to a great guy. If only I could find a great guy.
When we came out of the locker room, my eyes were first drawn to Kageyama, Hinata's husband, because he's so tall. Then I saw a shorter, female version of Hinata, which must be his sister. Then, my eyes slid over to a third person standing there. He was the most beautiful guy I have ever seen, with messy hair so black it was almost blue and such pretty features. I think I might have stopped breathing for a minute. This is Akaashi? Kageyama's friend and business partner we're having dinner with? Oh, wow. What a hottie!
When Hinata introduced us, I couldn't help it. I was staring at him. I was trying to figure out what color his eyes were - were they blue or maybe green? Whatever color, they were beautiful. And shaking his hand sent a tingle up my arm. My mind went blank for a minute and all I could think was "Akaashi, you're so pretty," but I think I might have said it out loud. I'm not sure. I feel like my brain won't work right now.
[Akaashi POV]
I really enjoyed the game, and especially watching Hinata and the ace, Bokuto. My eyes were drawn to Bokuto - not just his athleticism and skill - though that was really impressive, but also his demeanor, the way he interacted with the crowd, the way he got excited after good plays and pumped up his team. It was almost impossible for me NOT to watch him. My gaze was fixated on him, his movements and his body, which, not gonna lie, was pretty damn attractive as well.
When Kageyama first said that we were going to have a celebratory dinner and that Hinata was bringing his best friend, Bokuto, I didn't think much of it. But since I watched him play that game, I admit I'm a little nervous to have dinner with him. He intimidates me. He's so energetic, so full of life. Larger than life, really. A star. And, well, I'm just a quiet computer nerd.
Then, when they came out of the locker room and we were introduced, I was mesmerized. His eyes, they were a golden, honey color and they sparkled with life. I was entranced by those eyes and couldn't look away. I didn't want to look away, I just wanted to drown in those pools of honey for the rest of my life. And then, as our hands touched in a simple handshake, a spark of electricity traveled up my arm and straight to my chest. What the hell? I mean, yeah, he's attractive but I've never reacted to any guy like that before. And then, the final straw, he said I'm pretty. What? I'm sure I was as red as a tomato. I am not in this guy's league. Tonight is going to be a long night.
