Chapter 1: Starting of my new life

*Beep* *Beep*

"Ugh…I hear you" A hand came shooting from under the blankets of an oversized bed, slapping the alarm clock on the bedside stand.

Sitting up in bed you looked around your bedroom of your apartment to see that the sun was just coming up. Tank top falling off your right shoulder and messy long light brown hair falling around your body. A groan slipped from your lips before swinging your legs out of bed and making your way to the bathroom across the hallway.

You put on your work outfit before grabbing your keys and work bag. You gave an easy pet your cats head as he meowed at the door, as if saying to have a good day. With a pull at the door the warm morning rays kissed your skin, sighing you were off to start your new job at your big brother's agency.

I am Y/N! I'm19 years old and my quirk you may be asking? Well, I call it Mercy Hands, my right hand can fix any injury, well to a reasonable amount, and my left hand can control bleeding for a short amount of time. I am the little sister of Pro-hero Best Jeanist, while not a hero myself I get to meet many of the top heroes. Mostly because everyone wants to me come work for them. My quirk is useful to them and the general public. I may not be a combat hero but I'm ready to save anyone Plus-Ultra style.

I walked up to the front entrance of the agency and took a deep breath before walking in. Everyone greeted you and welcoming you for the day as you walked to your new office. Your office was rather large room with a patient area and then a personal area for you to work and keep charts, the areas being separated by a large sliding glass door. You turned the doorknob and walked in ready to start your day. You had come in the past few days to meet everyone and setup your office so you could be ready for today.

You walked out to see that most of the sidekicks were here for the day, most offered a smile and went to make sure they looked their best before the boss showed up. You chuckled at the thought of the guys doing their hair and making sure they looked like they never had an off day in their lives. You thought about your own outfit, a pair of black jeans and a form fitting dark blue scrub top. Your brother thought it would look the best while still being in the part of a healer.

You poured some coffee and was about to add some cream to your cup when suddenly the door by you burst open, a tall man with blonde hair and red eyes came in hissing and moaning about coming to this 'damn' place. You just looked down and took a calming sigh, he was part of the reason you were even here, AKA damage control. You did not even bother looking at the angry blonde and took your black coffee back to your office.

You worked of some paperwork and was watching anime at your desk when a hard knock came to your door.

"Hey, boss wants you to come on this mission with us." A tall purple haired man stated before walking away. 'What was his name again?' you thought before grabbing your phone and walking out the door to meet everyone out front.

"Why's the extra coming?!" Bakugou barked.

This made you stop in your tracks and look up to see the angry blonde looking down at you. Red eyes were looking at you like he was able to set me on fire with just by his stare.

"She's coming with us, if you would LISTEN during meeting you would know this…" Your brother came up behind you with his arms crossed. "Secondly anything happens to her because of you misfits, it will be your job!"

Everyone nodded, understanding that it would not be pretty if something did happen to you, everyone but the blonde-haired man who kept looking back at you while we ran to find a large villain attack underway.

"Y/N, over there they need help!"

You ran off to help a mother and child that got caught up in the attack, thankfully neither were hurt badly. You fixed both mother and child of their cuts and bruises and started to take off towards the rest of the group. Something small grabbed my hand, You looked down to see the small child that you just healed holding your hand.

"What's your name?" the small child asked, you stopped and looked at the child not sure what to say but before you could say anything a large blast when off down the block. You froze unsure what to do, you never really trained for real field work and now that you are here, you did not know what to do.

"Please go find somewhere safe!" You yelled running off.

You looked for anyone from the agency but did not find anybody. An officer came over to you and told you about others that were hurt and where they were taken. You nodded and headed that way.

After you healed everyone that you could with the help of the local doctors and nurses you headed back to the agency. Walking through the front doors you did not bother to speak to anyone as you headed to your office. There was so much on your mind about what happened earlier that you did not even notice your own brother in the lobby, he was worried about you and was waiting for your return.

Tears started to form in your eyes once you reached your desk. Your mind went over all the training you did in high school and how you graduated top of your class but none of that prepared you for what happened today.

"I never did any training on the streets…what was I thinking" You said out loud as tears started to run down your face.

You thought back about what the blonde sidekick said, maybe he was right, and I had no place going with them. Red eyes haunted you for a moment. You laid your head down on the desk and allowed your tears fall fully. You never heard the door open to your office as your worried brother entered, he knew that this wasn't going to be easy on your but not this hard.

"Hey sis...sis?" He looked at you with wide green eyes. He walked over and pulled a nearby chair beside you.

"I can't do this…" you cried softly.

In Hakamada's eyes you were still that tiny girl that followed him around, hoping that she would have a quirk like his. He was much older than you, which always seemed his reason to keep you close and safe. He was starting high school when you were born, he remembered the first time he seen you, so tiny and fragile and from that day on he was going to be your hero.

"Hey, you did great out there! I mean you were able to help so many today."

You looked up with puffy eyes to your older brother and nodded a little. You remembered the child you healed grabbing your hand and wanting to know who you were…the person who helped him.

In a soft almost nonaudible voice you said, "Name…" before looking off cross your office.

"Huh?" Hakamada looked at you confused.

"The child…the first child when we first arrived...h. he...wanted to know my name..."

"Ahh, let me guess you did not know what to tell them."

You nodded with shame.

"Then it's decided you need a hero name!"

"Bu...But I'm not a..."

"Hero?" Hakamada smiled at you "You are a hero; you may not fight like the rest of the team, but you hold your own."

You looked down once again. Mind flooded with thought from the past and today, something stuck out the most, a need to be able to defend yourself if you were to keep fighting along your brother and his sidekicks.

"I want to learn how to keep myself safe…" You stated in a tiny voice but loud enough for him to hear you.

"I think that would be a good idea, and I already have someone in mind."

With that your first day was complete at the agency. You slowly walked the short distance back to your apartment with work bag held lazily in hand. Once home you fell onto the sofa in the living room, tears falling until you fell into a restless sleep.
