3 years after Season 8 Episode 22.

ER

Just another boring day in the ER. Bloody patients with severed hands and broken limbs. Lips barely attached to the mouth, or something. Brains sticking out. It gets really old after time.

She is the head of the ER in this George McGovern Hospital, has been for a year. Her experience led her up the ranks and the job keeps her very busy, for it is all she has now.

Allison Cameron's third marriage ended with the death of her third husband, an inevitable event, something that they both knew would happen when they married. It was an ironic parallel of her first marriage, which happened the same way.

She didn't cry for her third husband and neither did their son, who died shortly after.

Her fourth husband was a chore and they divorced within a month.

One day, Cameron decided to move away and that is how she ended up here.

Being alone is lonesome and she yearns for the old days, when she had her second husband, the love of her life, Robert Chase.

Maybe if she had ripped up their divorce papers after their goodbye sex in Season 6 Episode 17, he might have taken her back, or perhaps he would not have. By that point, he was adamant on letting her go. He had every right to because he had chased after her and gotten hurt for far too long.

Now, he has probably moved on.

"Mr. Chase! Are you okay? Can you hear me?"

Cameron's emerald eyes flash in alertness as she traces the nurse's voice back to the patient bed in Row 3. There he is!

Robert!

His blue eyes flicker beautifully in the light and he stretches his built body carefully and grimaces in pain.

As she begins to check him out, Cameron's heart drops when she sees the bloody slashes across his chest.

"Who?" Chase sounds confused, his husky voice ringing through the halls.

"Mr. Chase, what do you remember?" The nurse asks, concerned.

"Nothing. I...I do not know who I am." Chase admits, as his world comes crashing down on him.

Patient 0

"I will take it from here." Cameron pushes the nurse aside.

The pretty sandy haired nurse conceals a look of disgust as her boss goes to tend to the attractive patient.

"Hey." Cameron squeezes Chase's shoulder carefully.

Chase looks up at the beautiful blonde, who is touching him. She's breathtakingly gorgeous with flowing hair, ample curves, crystal like eyes and a kind smile, but behind those eyes, he sees something else.

Before he can make out what he is, Chase crouches over in pain because his chest still hurts.

She grabs him and pushes him down gently.

"Rest!" Cameron instinctively kisses him on the cheek.

The hairs on his cheek stand up at the spark generated by her lips. He feels it instantly, the undeniable chemistry that that they have, or must have had at one point. While he cannot quite place it, he knows that he must have known her.

Cameron blushes as his soft skin touches her lips and she sucks his delicious cheek.

"I know you!" Chase exclaims with a bright smile that melts Cameron's heart.

"Yes you do!" Cameron confirms.

Patching

"All patched up but let me take you to my home!" Cameron almost chokes on her words. This is moving all too fast but it is exactly what she wants to do right now!

"Okay." Chase answers with some hesitation. He is pretty sure that he knows her but then again, he doesn't remember anything and this could be a really bad idea. "Uh, maybe we should stop by my home?"

"Tell you what." Cameron pushes him back down. "Wait and rest here. I will get your stuff, stop by your home and then come back with anything that you might need."

Chase shrugs. Since he does not remember anything, why not?

Chase's Home

Cameron follows the address and leads herself into his apartment, a beautiful furnishing.

There's a note on the wall. So he moved to South Dakota just three weeks ago.

She takes a look around.

His sense of style has not changed much. Surfer art on the wall and a violin in the corner, with other cool decorations.

Cameron smiles but the look of joy fades when she sees the two pictures in the center of the main wall.

They are both wedding pictures with two different women.

Robert married twice after her?

The left picture is from October 28, 2012, five months after House's funeral, and it features Robert looking handsome as usual. His arms wrapped around a pretty blonde woman with loopy curls and a great smile. The caption below reads I love you Moira. Rest in peace.

Cameron's heart drops three inches further. So he was widowed. Before she can feel sad for him, she sees the rest of the picture and the caption beneath that portion. The woman, Moira Parker Chase, has a baby bump and the words below read I love you my child. Hopefully we will meet someday. Sorry that I could not know you in this world.

Cameron begins sobbing. He lost a child too but unlike her, he never knew the child because it was never born!

Cameron wipes the tears and moves on to the next picture that is from November 24, 2013. Handsome Robert is present again, this time with a drop dead gorgeous woman. His hands are wrapped around her waist and he is kissing her cheek. She shivers with pleasure.

Cameron clutches her fist in anger and her nails dig into her flesh. They pierce further into her skin when she gets a better look at the woman. It's her! The one from House's funeral, who said that House gave her the guts to get fired. Cameron recognizes the luscious wavy brunette hair, flawless skin, striking brown eyes, nice curves and godlike body.

I love you Jessica. Thank you for being there for me. I will miss you. I truly loved you, more than anyone. Rest in peace and we will meet again.

Jessica Adams Chase...loved more than anyone!

Before she breaks, Cameron takes another look around the apartment. There's nothing, nothing to indicate that she, Allison Cameron, ever existed in his life. No pictures, no gifts, no memorabilia. No nothing!

Allison Cameron falls on her knees and shatters into tears.

Robert had a happy life without her and he erased her from his past. How could he?

Of course he could. It is her fault. If Cameron had not pushed him away and aside, they would still be together. She ruined a good thing and now she is complaining.

She's angry at herself but she chooses to be optimistic. He doesn't remember anything and now they can start over.

Cameron dismantles the wedding portraits from the walls and locks them in the closet. She could destroy them but she chooses not to. Robert never destroyed the photos, or even the sperm of her first husband. As much as she wants to rid the apartment of his wives, she can't.

Familiarity

"Hey." Chase gets up and runs up to Cameron.

He pulls her into a tight hug and buries his face into her shawl.

He's finally holding me in the way that he used to, Cameron begins sobbing with joy. Now is her chance.

This feels natural to him, the hugging and the holding. Even though this should be weird since he doesn't remember her, it feels right.

"Can you kiss me on the cheek again?" Chase asks, hoping that it will trigger some more familiar senses.

"I will do you one better." An ecstatic Cameron grabs his face and smashes her lips against his.

The butterflies in her stomach migrate up to her throat and she squeals with pleasure as she tastes his throat. It's even more delicious than she remembers it to be.

He enjoys it too, the feel of her tongue washing down his throat but something feels off. As if a toxic material has clogged his throat, Chase coughs and breaks free.

"Sorry. Too much action for the first time. Come with me to my apartment." A joyful Cameron leads the way.

Houses

"Hello, you ready to look?" The realtor points to the big houses.

"Ye…" Gregory House nearly trips backwards and his mother catches him.

"Give us a minute." His mother, Blythe, answers.

The realtor goes in and Blythe pulls her son aside.

"What is it?" She wonders.

"I know that realtor. He is…" House swallows. "He is Rachel Cuddy's biological father from Season 5 Episode 11."

Blythe nods. "Well, the past is in the past. Do you want to see Cuddy?"

"No." Greg answers adamantly. "She and I reached an understanding back when I drove my car into her house. She sent me to prison and I never heard from her again. She probably does not even know that I fake died."

Blythe shrugs. "As long as you are over it. But if you change your mind, I am here for you."

"Thanks." Greg thanks his mom and they go into the house.

Simon hands them the fliers and they start looking around.

Rewritten

"So, how do we know each other?" Chase asks the long awaited question.

"We...we…" Cameron takes a deep breath. "We...we worked together back in Charleston, South Carolina."

First lie. Neither one of them has even been to South Carolina.

Chase frowns and nods for more.

"We liked each other and I asked you out. We dated and we got engaged but you broke off the engagement and moved away." Cameron's bites her tongue, as it bleeds out with more lies.

"I am so sorry." Chase apologizes. He feels terrible. How could he have done something so terrible to someone so loving and beautiful?

"It is okay. You are back now and I can help you." Cameron feels horrible for doing this but she knows that she has to.

Chase looks up gratefully. She is so kind to forgive him so easily.

Cameron inhales his scent and relaxes herself before proceeding.

"It's Tuesday." Cameron whispers into his ear as she licks it.

"It is?" Chase has no idea what day it is.

"I like you." Cameron kisses him almost forcefully and he squirms.

Unlike before, the kiss feels purely possessive and he feels uncomfortable.

But he knows her, right? They were engaged so he must have trusted her. She can do him no harm.

Cameron deepens her kiss and presses her hand down on his pants, which are getting too tight for him.

She pulls his shirt off and feels up his chiseled torso, which is even more impressive than it previously was. She has missed the sight and feel of this treasure.

Cameron traces her fingers through the slashes on his chest and rests her hand on his heart. She studies every curvature, muscle and attribute of his body. When she comes across his heart, she pauses.

"What happened there?" Cameron rubs her hand on the red purplish gash marks near his heart.

"No idea." Chase shrugs. "Guess I got hurt."

"You didn't have that scar when I knew you." Cameron leans forward, kisses his bare chest and tastes his heartbeat. It's as strong and delicate as ever.

The springy hairs spring up as her lips touch his flesh and his muscles contract and expand.

"My bedroom is over there." Cameron pulls off her own shirt and leads the way.

After

They moan and sigh with pleasure as they descend from their highs.

She places her hand on his heart and snuggles into his chest.

"You are as incredible as ever!" Cameron moans.

"You too. That did feel a little familiar." Chase agrees. "Ow!"

"Sorry!" Cameron stops pinching his chest with her nails. She was so caught off guard by his remark. What if he suddenly remembers the past?

"Did we cuddle and fall asleep after?" Chase tries to remember.

"Sometimes, or we would watch something, or we would eat, or we would do something else." Cameron recalls. "You were always a lot of fun."

"Sorry again for dumping you. Do you know why I did it?" Chase is very curious.

"You had trouble letting me in because of some things in your past and I was always the one who initiated the relationship. At first, you just wanted sex and I agreed. When I developed feelings, you pushed me away but eventually, you came back. We dated but you continued to have trouble letting me be a part of your life and that is why I proposed." Cameron lies through her teeth.

"I...I...am so sorry!" Chase cannot believe that he was such a jerk.

No, don't be! I am the horrible one! Cameron's tears roll onto his chest. I am sorry for using you like this but hopefully I can have a chance now.

"It is okay. I love you." Cameron assures him.

"I love you too." Chase has no idea if that is true but he says it anyway.

Past

"Hello. Is Rober...Dr. Chase here?" Moira Parker asks desperately.

"I can page him for you." Jessica Adams clicks the pager and then she turns around.

It's her! That nun! The one that Chase had a thing with. The reason he wouldn't go out with Adams later.

"Adams, you called me." Chase rushes down.

The two women glance at him, in total awe of the tight jacket suit and fitting pants that stick so well to his pronounced muscles. His beautiful blue eyes teem with concern and then he turns his head.

Moira! She is back and she is pregnant!

"You are invited." Chase hands Adams the invitation.

"Thanks." Adams puts on her fake smile.

Chase notices that something is up and he takes a seat next to her.

"You okay?" He puts his arm around her.

She shivers with pleasure but tries to keep cool.

"Chase, you need to go get ready. Your wedding is in a few hours." Adams brushes away her tears.

"I can get ready fast. You need more help right now." Chase insists.

"Go." Adams heads over to the bathroom.

"I do." Chase kisses Moira and she melts into his throat. That is when the bleeding starts.

"Chase." Adams knocks on his door.

"Adams!" A teary eyed Chase answers.

"I am so sorry about Moira and the baby." Adams jumps into his arms without a second thought.

"Thanks." Chase tries to say but she starts hugging and kissing him.

"Your sister loved you." Adams rubs his back.

"I hope so." Chase stares at his sister's ashes, which have now dispersed.

"I do." Chase kisses his bride.

Adams melts into the kiss and lets the hormones overtake her body.

"Jessica!" Chase screams but there is no answer.

There she is, Jessica Adams Chase, her body crumpled and lifeless under the car. It is over!

Months pass.

He organizes his new South Dakota apartment and walks out. That's when the accident happens.

Morning

"We can go horseback riding today." Cameron offers.

"Sounds great!" Chase is thrilled. "But shouldn't I be going to a memory therapy clinic?"

Cameron nearly spits out her coffee. "Uh...I…"

Her phone rings. The ER is swamped today and they need her.

Chase hears the subject of the phone call.

"It's okay. I will be fine." Chase assures her. "We can spend some time together later."

Cameron kisses him softly and tastes him before breaking into a smile.

"See you later, Robert. And stay out of trouble." Cameron pokes his chest teasingly.

"What is your name?" Chase asks.

"Allison. Allison Cameron." Cameron figures the name reveal will not do much but little does she know.

Chase sits around for a bit and then he decides to look around.

He gazes at her decorations and then he comes across the counter, where his wallet lies.

Chase shuffles through and extracts his license.

There is his address and he decides to go to it.

New House Old Memories

Greg House and Blythe take a stroll across the new neighborhood area. It is a nice area with plenty of good looking things.

"Today is her death anniversary." Greg looks up into the sky.

"Yes, Thirteen appreciated what you did for her. She and James Wilson are celebrating now." Blythe assures him.

Greg agrees because he believes in that stuff now.

"Wait, isn't that someone you know?" Blythe points at the man in front of them.

"Chase!" House screams out in surprise.

"Hi." Chase responds confused. "I think my last name is Chase. I was recently in a bad accident and I cannot remember anything. So I am sorry that I do not recognize you."

"Oh." House hugs Chase anyway. "Well, you probably didn't have fond memories of me, so this is good."

Blythe winks. Technically, Greg House is dead to the world so the fact that this Chase cannot remember Greg is good.

"I ran into someone else I knew. Maybe if I tell you, you can fill in the gaps?" Chase knows that he shouldn't blurt stuff out but this guy remembers him, so he should be fine?

House's eyes widen as Chase tells him the stories that Cameron told him.

He starts shaking his fists in anger. How could Cameron emotionally manipulate Chase like that. Sure, he knew that Cameron was messed up but this! This is a new low!

"Chase." House grabs his hand. "Let's go to your apartment. I am going to give you some hypnotherapy. We are going to recover all of your memories."

Chase follows House, both anxious, excited and slightly concerned. Hypnotherapy!

Hypnotherapy

"Let the memories return and the thoughts will flow." House promises as he channels Chase's hidden memories.

Blythe helps herself to some food in the fridge and Greg glares at his mom for stealing Chase's food.

Blythe comes across the cabinet and unlocks it. She pulls out the two wedding photos and stares at them. They are promptly reattached to the wall.

"I love you my son." A tall Czech man ruffles a fifteen year old boy's sandy head. "But I am leaving your mother."

"It is your fault." A young woman throws her wine bottle at her brother. She knows that it is not true but it is easier to blame him.

Seminary.

Mary Knoller.

Mary gives him a final teary kiss before departing to pack her own bags. She is getting divorced from the groundskeeper.

Maybe he will see her again, if their paths intertwine.

He enjoyed their time together and he really did like her.

Medical school.

Robert Chase's entire life replays itself and he sees it all. The good, bad, ugly. Pain, joy, suffering, bliss.

He sees her, Allison Cameron, the woman that he thought he loved. What she did to him.

Coaxing him into sex, tossing him aside, crawling back, starting a relationship, being cold and distant. Sabotaging the engagement and nearly ending the wedding. Divorcing him, breaking his heart.

He sees Season 6 Episode 17, Lockdown but this time, the memory makes him sick.

Then, he sees the rest of his life.

Moira.

Jessica.

"Hello Robert."

He turns around to be faced by the women that he loved.

Jessica Adams kisses his right cheek and Moira Parker kisses his left.

"We love you." They whisper before dissolving into the mist.

"Ahh!" Chase gasps as he awakens.

"You remember everything?" House steadies Chase.

"Yes. House!" Chase takes House into his arms and sobs. "I missed you."

Confrontations

He knows how to get back into contact with House now. So, if he ever wants to hang out, he can reach out to House. Now, he has to confront Cameron.

She walks into the apartment smiling at Chase, who tries his best not to blow up.

"Moira was my wife. She was a nun and we slept together in Season 8 Episode 12. She returned after Season 8 Episode 22 and she was carrying my child. She had health complications and she died at the wedding, losing the child in the process." Chase recalls very vividly.

"You remember stuff now?" Cameron gulps. Does this mean he…?

"I got together with Jessica Adams after that. She comforted me in my darkest times, something that no one else ever did for me. She was there for me while I recovered and while my sister died. We moved to Missouri and got married. She was killed in a car accident. And then I decided to move here to South Dakota because I had nothing else to do. And then I had my accident." Chase summarizes through gritted teeth.

Cameron feels the tears coming.

"I remember Allison quite well." Chase refers to her in the third person. "She never loved me and only used me. I chose to see her for a better person than she was because I loved her. Now, I know that I was a fool."

"Robert! Please!" Cameron is shaking. "I do love you and I want us to work. I have missed you ever since we split. My third marriage was a disaster and my kid died. My fourth marriage was worse. I wanted to go back to my second marriage, the only one that I truly loved. I figured that we could start fresh and I felt guilty for what I did to you. I was projecting to divert the guilt."

"You are pathetic and I never should have wasted time with you." Chase doesn't even waste time looking back.

He slams the door and barges out victorious.

He's finally done it.

He has moved on!

He now knows for sure that he doesn't love Allison Cameron. Never did.

Marying

"Woah!" The woman ducks as the man nearly slams into her.

"Sorry. I was...I should be more careful." Chase is still very excited from getting rid of Cameron.

"Robert!" The woman chokes when she sees him standing before her, tall, handsome, beautiful and dreamy as always.

"Mary!" Without another thought, Chase loops his arms around her and hugs her tightly.

"I missed you!" Mary Knoller weeps. "I haven't stopped thinking about you since you left the seminary."

"I missed you too!" Chase whispers. "Is there a place we can go talk?"

"I was actually on my way somewhere. You need to come with me. We can talk after." Mary promises.

"Where are we going?" Chase asks quizzically.

"To our daughter's high school graduation. I got pregnant from our encounter and I know for a fact that she is yours. If that wretched groundskeeper hadn't kicked you out, then I could have run away with you." Mary reveals with an eager, yet moderately fearful look in her eyes, as Chase's jaw drops. She has no idea how he is going to take this big news, to know that he had a daughter out there for the last eighteen years. "I am so sorry that I couldn't…"

Chase shuts her up with a wet kiss and she closes her eyes in awe at the tastiness of his throat. He's the same delicious seminarian that she fell for all those years ago.

Chase breaks free with a big grin on his face and his oceanic eyes teem with joy and a new purpose in life. All those tragedies that he faced in the past several years, they are gone for good and he could not be happier. The nightmare of losing his loved ones is finally over!

"Mary, I cannot wait to meet her!" He exclaims.

With that, they go to the ceremony.
