Leyla's P.O.V

We had been flying to the northern part of the mountains to check out the distress cry that we had heard. We landed on a huge block of packed ice and I saw a flash of blue, purple, and white, I jumped off of Summer's saddle and walked over to the ice to investigate. "Um hay guys? I think there's a dragon trapped in the ice." I informed them. "Hay, Aggro, can you please melt the ice?" I asked the fire dragon. She nodded and with a deep breath, she started melting the ice that was incasing the dragon inside. "I wonder what kind of dragon is stuck in there?" Summer wondered as she came over and stood next to me as we all watched Aggro continue to melt the ice. It took a while but the dragon was finally freed from her Icy prison. She blinked rapidly and shook out her blue and white wings to dislodge the ice that still clung to them. "Thank you so much for saving me." She said with a relieved smile on her face. "No problem at all!" I said with a wide smile on my face. "It's kind of our job, y'knoe, we're the Rescue Riders and we well... You know, rescue people." Winger replied with a flick of his tail and a nod to the rest of us. "Wow! That's so cool! It's a pleasure to meet you all." The Fastfin said with a warm smile on her face. "I'm Leyla, and this is my brother Dak." I told the Fastfin. "And these are our friends, Winger, Summer, Cutter, Burple, and Aggro." I introduced the others. "The name's Aura," She said, with a sincere smile and a nod of her head in greeting. "It's nice to meet you too, Aura." I replied back. "So you're a Fastfin?" Winger asked and Aura nodded her head in confirmation.

Summer's P.O.V

I shouted out to the others when I saw a huge group of dark gray clouds filling the sky. Then out of nowhere, a harsh wind suddenly blew all of us backwards about 5 feet and a mix of rain and snow came crashing down. We were being pelted with harsh bursts of heavy falling snow and before we knew it, Leyla shouted that Dak, Winger, Cutter, and Burple were not with us. I could hear the panic in her voice as she began to shout for her brother. I could feel my heart breaking as my friends shouts turned into heart wrenching sobs. I didn't know why she was reacting like this at first, but then it hit me like a bolt of lightning. The last time she had been in a storm, their mother had been killed. I walked over to Leyla and wrapped my wings around her small body. She was beginning to shiver uncontrollably but not from racking sobs. I turned to Aggro and Aura with a panicked look on my face. We need to find a cave to take shelter from the storm, but without Cutter's super eyesight, how in the name of night furies are we going to find a cave? Tucking my rider security in my paws, I took to the sky with Aggro and Aura not that far behind me. "We need to find a cave or some sort of shelter!" I yelled to Aggro and Aura. They both nodded and we flew even faster. About 2 hours into our flight I hear Aggro shout "I think I see a cave that we can take shelter in for the night." And sure enough, there was a cave straight ahead of us. Without thinking, Aggro, Aura and I flew down to the snow-covered ground raced into the cave. But as soon as we got inside, it started to snow even harder then before. And about 2 minutes later, we were trapped in the cave, the entrance had been blocked by all of the snow. "Oh no! Now we're trapped!" I cried as I stared with fearful eyes at where the entrance that had just been completely wide open not only a few minutes earlier. "Just calm down ant take a deep breath Summer." I looked over to where I had set Leyla down. She was now sitting up with her feet tuck underneath of her. "We're going to get through this, we've been in worst situation." She said with a gesture of her hands around the cave. "I know that, I'll stop panicking now." I told her with a small smile and a twitch of my tail.
