"Okay! I'll see you there!" A beep followed as Pink hung up the phone. "Who was that?" her mother inquired. "It was Professor Oak!" "He has an internship for me!" She beamed. Pink started to run about and grab things. "What kind?" her mother asked again. "You know how I like to draw Pokemon?" "He wants me to draw for a project of his." Her mother smiled at her. "And he's gonna give me a Pokemon!" "Really?" "You've always wanted a Pokemon." "I'm happy for you, honey." Her mother was smiling ear to ear now. "So, when are you going to Pallet Town?" "It's a long way from Fuchsia City.." A look of maternal concern flooded her mother's eyes. "Don't worry, Mom." "The Prof. 's made arrangements already!" Pink said while stuffing her art supplies into her bag. "I'll call you soon!" "Bye!" Her mother waved. "Bye, hon."

Bring! Bring! Bring! A beep rang out from three PokeGears. "Hey, Professor!" Red answered. "What's up?" The Professor smiled. "Well, Red-" He was interrupted by Blue. "Hi, Gramps." "Oh...Hi, Red." Blue smirked slightly. "Hey Blue!" "What's that face for?"
Blue chuckled. "Nothing." Another face popped up. "Hey, everyone!" "Hi, Green!" Red and Blue said simultaneously. "What's the fancy call for?" Green asked." Well, I was about to tell you I've hired a new Pokedex holder!" The Prof. smiled. "Who?" The kids' faces perked up. "Well, her name is Pink." She's very good at drawing, so I hired her to draw Pokemon for the Pokedex." "Cool!" Red exclaimed, much too loudly… "Red, chill out.." Blue smirked. "So we don't have to use those pixelated sprites anymore?" The Prof. smiled nervously. "Well- yes, I guess so." "Great," Blue said with a sneer in his voice.

Someone knocked at the door of the lab. "Hello?" "Anyone home?" Pink stood at the door for a moment. "Oh, hi!" A girl answered the door. "You must be Pink." "I'm Daisy." The girl smiled. "Are you the Professor's assistant?" Pink asked. "Oh, no, I'm his granddaughter." Pink smiled. "Where's the Prof?" Daisy pointed. "He's back there." "Okay!" She walked to the back. "Hi, Pink!" The Prof. said. "Hi!" Pink was beaming. "How was your trip?" "Good." Pink smiled. "Well, I'm sure you're tired...Let me show you to your room." "Okay." Pink wondered how the lab was big enough for all these people. It seemed much smaller from the outside. "Here's your room." The bedroom had a comfortable-looking bed, a small desk, and a computer. "Thank you," Pink said to the professor. "No, thank you!" "I needed someone to draw for me!" "Goodnight, Pink." "Night, Professor!"
Pink put her art supplies on the desk and changed into pajamas. Laying down, Pink drifted off to sleep, dreaming of adventures to come.
The next morning…
Pink woke early, likely out of excitement. "Morning!" She said to the professor excitedly. "Good morning, Pink." "Oh!" "I nearly forgot!" The professor looked a bit flustered. "Forgot what?" Pink looked confused. "To give you your Pokemon, of course!" "Really?" "What kind?" "Well, I've already given away the starters to the other Pokedex holders, so.." The professor walked to his shelf of Pokeballs. "I have an Eevee for you." Pink smiled. "Cool!" The professor hesitated… "There is one thing, however." "This Eevee doesn't like staying in its-" The Pokemon popped out of its Pokeball. "Eee-bui!" Pink gasped. "He's so cute!" "Eevee.." The Pokemon was not pleased with being called cute. "I'll name you- Finn!" "Eee-bui!" Finn seemed pleased. Pink smiled at Finn. "Let's go for a walk, okay?" "Eevee!" The professor grinned. "Before you go, take the Pokedex and these Pokeballs." "Thanks!" "I'll see you later!"

The duo walked to Viridian City to visit the lake. "Alright, we're here!" Something splashed in the water. "What's that?" She scanned the Pokemon with her Pokedex. The Pokedex chimed. 'Dratini, The Mirage Pokemon. Dratini was long considered a Mythical Pokemon until recently when a colony of them were discovered underwater.' "Cool!" Pink exclaimed. "Let's try to catch it, Finn!" "Eee-bui!" "Finn, taunt it to get it on land!" Finn nodded and proceeded to wag his tail at the Dratini. "That's it!" The Dratini, enraged, leaped out of the lake and chased Finn around. "Ee-bee!?" Pink retaliated. "Use Sand-Attack!" Finn dug sandy soil from the ground and flung it into the tiny dragon's face. "Go!" "Pokeball!" Pink threw the Pokeball. It wriggled once, then twice, then- bing! "Yay!" "I caught a Dratini!" The Pokedex chimed. 'Dratini has been registered to your Pokedex.' PInk beamed. "Come on out, Dratini!" She threw the Pokeball up. "Drat-ini!" "Hi, Dratini!" "I'm Pink, and this is my Eevee, Finn!" "Do you wanna be on our team?" Pink waited for an answer. "Dratini!" Dratini seemed pleased. "Cool!" Let's head back to the lab."

Pink opened the door to the lab. "Professor?" Professor Oak turned around. "Back so soon?" "Wait, is that a new Pokeball on your belt?" Prof. Oak looked on in curiosity. "Yup!" "I'll show you!" "Come on out!" Dratini's call rang out "You caught a Dratini!?" "That's one of the rarest Pokemon in existence!" Pink chuckled. "That's quite impressive, Pink." "Thank you!"
Come on, you two, let's head to my room." The Pokemon followed Pink. "Now, Dratini, strike a pose!" Dratini curled its tail up behind it. "Perfect!" "Now.." She got out her sketchbook and sketched Dratini. Then, she colored her sketch and went over it with a pen. "Done!" "Do you like it?" "Dratini!" The Pokemon exclaimed happily. "Good!" "Now, to just..." She uploaded the drawing onto the Pokedex. "There." Pink walked out of her room. "Hey, Professor, I-" "Who are you?" she asked the boy with spiky hair, who was standing in front of her. "Oh, I'm Blue." "I'm Professor Oak's grandson. "You must be Pink." "Gramps told me all about you." Pink smiled. "Oh cool." "What Pokemon do you have?" Blue smirked with a hint of pride on his face. "Well, my main Pokemon are my Pidgeot and my Charizard." He tossed his Pokeballs into the air. "Come on out!" His Pokemon let out their cries. "So I guess you only have that Eevee on your head, huh? He sneered slightly. "Huh?" Pink looked up. "Finn!" "You're supposed to stay on my shoulder!" She chuckled. "Well, I suppose if you like being up there, you can stay...Just don't fall!" "Eee-bui!" Finn cried in excitement. "Actually, no...Finn is my first Pokemon. I caught another today." Pink smiled. "Come out, Dratini!" "Drat-in!" Blue was shocked. "A Dratini!?" "But they're so rare they're almost mythical!'' "Where did you find it?" Pink beamed with pride. "Viridian Lake." Blue managed to compose himself. "Well, Red should be here soon...I hope."

"Man, Gramps didn't tell you anything…" "What do you mean?" Blue smirked. "Well, Red is my rival, and-" They were interrupted by bashing on the door. "Hello?" Blue groaned. "Well, there he is...Need I say more?" Pink nodded, "I see what you mean.." She opened the door." Red face planted onto the floor. "Uhm-'' Blue hid a smile. "Are..you okay?" Pink frowned. "Y-yeah, I'm okay!" "Good," Pink grimaced a little at the boy on the floor. "You're Pink, right?" She nodded. "Yes." The boy smiled. "I'm Red!" Blue chuckled underneath his breath. "What's so funny?" Red frowned. "Nothing," Blue responded, trying to compose himself. The professor interrupted. "Hi, boys; I see you've met Pink." Red got up from the floor. "Yeah!" Blue rolled his eyes. "Hi, Gramps." "...Are we waiting on Green?" Blue looked at Red. "Well yes, we are.." Pink looked at both the boys. "Does anyone want to battle?" Red responded immediately. "Sure!" She smiled. "Okay!" She picked up Finn from her head. "Ready to show everyone what we've been working on?" Finn perked up. "Eee-bui!"

The Trainers walked to the battlefield. "You ready?" Red held his Pokeball in one hand." Pink was petting Finn. "Yup!" "Alright then!" "Go!" "Saur!" A Venusaur popped out of the ball and roared. Pink chuckled. "Perfect." Red looked puzzled. Pink ignored him. "Finn!'' "I choose you!" Finn jumped from Pink's head to her arm, onto the ground. "Eevee!" Red was ready. "Saur!" "Use Tackle!" Venasaur tackled- into the grass. Finn had dodged without being told. "W-what?" Pink chuckled at Red's surprise. "Finn!'' "Sizzly Slide!" A cloak of fire surrounded Finn as he charged at Saur. Red was in shock. "A-A Fire-type move!?" Pink smiled. "And just about now…" A burn appeared on Saur. "A burn?" Pink giggled. "Sizzly Slide gives a guaranteed burn!" Red's jaw dropped. "Can any other Pokemon learn it?" This was getting better and better. "Only special Eevees can." W-what kind of special Eevee?" Finn looked up. "The ones that don't want to evolve." Pink retorted while looking at Finn. Red grew visibly frustrated. "O-okay then!" "Go!" "Poli!" Pink smirked. "Even better." Red was concerned again. "Wha-?" Pink smiled. "Don't worry about it." "Finn!" "Buzzy Buzz!" Finn glowed yellow as a discharge of electricity flew into Poli. Red was shocked. "An Electric-type move?!" Red was interrupted by Poli slowing down, jolts of electricity crackling over his body. Poli fainted. "Yes!" Pink hugged Finn." "You did great!" "Eee-bui!" Finn smiled.

"Who won?" Blue said as he and the professor walked outside. "I did!" Pink beamed, petting Finn. "That's impressive, Pink!" The professor smiled. Blue sneered. "She beat you, Red?" Blue snickered while Red sulked. "Well, yes-" Pink laughed at the boys. She went back inside and grabbed her bag and some berries. "I'm off to Viridian Forest!" The professor smiled. "Be safe, Pink." "I will!" The boys waved. "Bye!"

Pink and Finn walked through Viridian City. They made it to the building that connected Viridian City to the forest. "Alright, let's go!" "Eee-bui!" Finn seemed pleased. "This seems like a good spot." She laid down the cloth she brought and took out her art supplies and the berries. "They should come soon!" She sprayed the Lure around her. A cry rang out. "Caterpie!" Pink squealed. "It's so cute!" She threw the Pokemon a berry and started to sketch. Finn walked up to the Caterpie. "Eee-bee?" The Caterpie used String Shot on Finn. "Eee-bui!?" Pink chuckled. "You silly." She pulled the stringy silk off Finn.

Meanwhile, in another part of Viridian Forest…
A red-haired boy was training with his Pokemon. "Sneasel!" "Ice Shard!" Sneasel nodded. "Murkrow!" "Dodge!" Murkrow started to do aerial maneuvers- to be drawn in by a sweet scent. "What's happening?" The trainer yelled. "Murkrow!" "Come back!" Pink's Lure was attracting the boy's Murkrow. "Finn, look!" "A new Pokemon!" She threw the Pokemon a berry and started to sketch. The boy had finally caught up with his Pokemon. "Murkrow..!" Pink looked up from drawing. "Oh, that Murkrow has a Trainer?" The boy nodded. "I'm sorry, I was using a Lure to attract bug Pokemon, so I can draw them." Pink looked at Finn. "So I guess your Murkow smelled the lure and-" "The boy, who had zoned out slightly while looking at Pink, abruptly looked up. "Mhm..." "Why are you out here alone?" He tilted his head slightly. "Oh, I work for Professor Oak." "I'm drawing Pokemon for his Pokedex, see?'' She flipped her Pokedex open, revealing several drawings of Pokemon. The boy was taken aback. "You're really good." Pink smiled. "Thank you." "I'm Pink." The boy nodded. "I'm Silver." Pink looked at her PokeGear. "Are you a Trainer?" The boy asked, looking at Eevee. "Yeah, I am." "Do you want to trade numbers?" "Yeah, maybe we can battle sometimes." Silver nodded and showed his PokeGear, letting Pink type in his number. He ignored the stolen Johtoian Pokedex in his coat. "Well, I should be going now...Good luck with your training!" Silver waved. "Bye, Pink."
Pink turned the key to the lab, opening the door. She walked to her room. "Night, Finn!" "Ee-bee!" Finn turned around and fell asleep in Pink's bed. She chuckled and sat down at her desk. "Alright..now to-" She pulled up the pictures she took while in Viridian. She started to draw a Pikachu…only to fall asleep at her desk.

Pink woke to Finn licking her face. "Mhn...Good morning, Finn.." Pink yawned. "Eee-bui!" Pink got dressed and called Silver. A beep followed. "...Morning." Silver groaned. "Oh, did I wake you?" Pink asked with concern in her voice. "No...I'm just tired.'' Pink smiled. "Not a morning person, huh?" "Nope." "Do you want to do something today?" "Yeah, where?" "How about Pokemon Road?" "That works." "Do you know where it is?" "Of course I do." "Alright, meet you there!" "Bye, Pink."

..In Saffron City, within Silph Co.'s massive walls...
Team Rocket's Elite Trio stood, thinking. The masters of Psychic, Electric, and Poison-type Pokemon. Sabrina, Surge, and Koga. Surge slammed his hands on the table they were standing at. "We need somethin' to impress the boss!" Sabrina piped in while levitating a pen that was on the table. "Yeah, since the Mewtwo project fell through..." She thought of Blaine and clenched a fist. Koga, who had been quiet the whole conversation, spoke. "Do you both remember the boss's son?" Surge thought for a second. "The little red-haired boy that disappeared?" Koga responded. "Yes, him." Sabrina looked concerned. "But no-one's seen him since he was two years old." Koga started fidgeting with the Golbat on his wrist, which likely took the place of a PokeGear. "You two forget about this…" He spoke to the Golbat. "Where is the son of Giovanni?" The Golbat's mouth turned into a mirror, showing Pink and Silver walking down Pokemon Road with their Pokemon. Sabrina snickered. "You know what to do, Koga."

Pink and Silver had almost reached the end of Pokemon Road when they heard a battle happening. An unfair one, to be exact. A girl was being cornered by Trainers. "Well, don't you want to battle?" they demanded. "Uh, well…" PInk whispered to Silver "Let's stop them." He nodded in understanding. Pink yelled. "Hey!" "If she doesn't want to battle, leave her alone!" The Trainers turned around. "Oh, you tryin' to be a hero, girlie?'' Pink smirked. "Silver, let's go!" "Come on, Finn!" "Ee-bui!" Silver ran up. "Go!" "Sneasel!" the Trainers' Weepinbell and Tentecruel were ready to battle. Silver looked at Finn. "You sure you can handle yourself with just an Eevee?" Finn scowled at Silver while Pink smiled. "I got it." "I'll take Tentecruel, you take Weepinbell!" Silver nodded. "On it!" The Trainer called out a command."Weepinbell!" "Vine Whip!" Sneasel countered with Ice Shard. "Weepinbell!" The Grass-type Pokemon fainted. "Alright then..." "Finn!" "Glitzy Glow!" A burst of psychic energy was discharged. Tentecruel fainted. "How does your Eevee do that?" Silver was amazed. "I've taught Finn to harness the power of all his evolutions." "Wow." "Anyway, where was that girl?" Silver's spirits soared. "It can't be…" "Huh?" Do you know her?" A look of confusion spread across Pink's face. At this point, the girl had stood up and was running toward Silver. "Green!" he yelled out, hugging her. "Silver!" Pink stood there. "Ooh, Silver...Is this your girlfriend?" Silver turned as red as his hair. "Uh- she's a friend…" "Uhm- This is Green...I call her my sister." Green tilted her head for a second. "Are you the new Pokedex holder?" Pink smiled. "That's me!" "Oh, and this is Finn." Green pet Finn, who had jumped to Pink's arm. "He's adorable!'' "Eee-bee.." Finn groaned. Pink chuckled. "It's okay, Finn." Pink looked at Silver and Green. "How about we go get some Rage Candy Bars?" Silver nodded, "Sounds good."

Sabrina yelled at Koga, "Why don't you have the girl?" Koga responded calmly. "It's simple." Sabrina groaned. "What do you mean?" "We don't know how close the two of them are." "If we take her as bait now, he might not come." Sabrina nodded. "What about the other girl?'' Surge piped in. "She's too slippery." "She stole somethin' from us months ago, haven't seen her since." "So, what do we do?" Sabrina asked. Koga smiled. "We wait."

A few weeks later…
Pink and Silver were keeping in touch. Their friendship was blossoming.
Pink was on a walk with Finn and her new Dragonair when her PokeGear buzzed. It was Silver. She answered. "Hi, Silver." "Hey, Pink, are you busy?" "No." "Do you want to go to Celadon City?" "Sure, I'll meet you there!" "Alright, bye." Pink smiled, having waited for this moment for a while. "Dragonair, to Celadon City!" Dragonair cooed and took off, Pink and Finn on her back. They landed in Celadon a few minutes later. "Thanks, Dragonair!" She called her back to her Pokeball. "Silver?" "Over here!" Pink panted a little, from being so high in the air. Silver smirked. "That was fast." "Yup!" "Dratini evolved, so now I have a Dragonair!" Silver zoned out, looking at Pink...again. "Silver?" "Silver!" "Huh?" Silver snapped out of it, embarrassed but not showing it. "You good?" "Yeah, I'm fine." He didn't want to admit it, but he had a crush on Pink. Green could see it. So could Pink. "-Where should we go first?" Pink looked around. "How about the department store?" "That's fine, I need some TM's anyway." They walked inside. Pink started toward the elevator. "I'll meet you at Wiseman Gifts!" "Pink?" She turned around. "Hm?"
"There's something I need to ask you." She squealed internally. "What is it?" She looked at him, knowing what he was going to say. "Will you go out with me?" "Of course!" Silver's spirits soared. "Where do you want to go?" "The restaurant is fine." "Okay, meet you there?" "Okay!" "See you later! Pink let out a quiet squeal as the elevator went up.

Koga watched from the shadows with his Golbat. "Now is perfect." He moved in, stealthily, entering the building. Knowing what Silver said, he checked each floor for Pink, except the one Silver was on. He found Pink on the roof by herself, buying Finn something to drink. He snickered quietly before making an appearance. "Hello…'' Pink looked visibly uncomfortable but composed herself. "Do you- need something, sir?" He smirked. "I do, as a matter of fact." He sent out his Venomoth. "Sleep Powder!" Pink was startled, but both she and Finn fell asleep before she could react.

Pink woke, in a bit of a fright, understandably. "Mnh...Where am I?" She looked at her hands, looking for her PokeGear. It was gone. Then she noticed something. There was a fine powder on her gloves -spores. "Finn?" "Where are you?" She spotted Finn curled up in a corner, still unconscious. She shook Finn lightly. "Finn?" "Ee-bui?" She held him tight, feeling around for Dragonair on her belt, but the opening mechanism was broken. "Finn, I don't know where we are either, but-" She whispered something inaudible to Finn. He nodded in understanding. A voice beckoned from the shadows, prompting Pink to hold Finn closer. "I see you're finally awake." Finn, right on cue, shuddered, hiding his face in his paws. He wasn't scared. He wanted to use Baddy Bad on this person's face. "Show yourself!" Pink yelled out. She then realized she couldn't move. She was tied to something. Koga stepped out of the shadows. "What do you want from me?" She yelled through a fake struggle to get free. She knew who this man was. This was Koga, a member of Team Rocket's Elite Trio. "Well, you're here because we need you...for something." She grunted, trying to get free from the box, but not sincerely. Koga snickered. "You two, come in here!" Sabrina and Lt. Surge stepped forward. Sabrina sneered. "This is the girl that he likes?'' Pink scowled at her, only for Sabrina to chuckle dryly. "Nice work, Koga." Surge smiled, a hint of deception on his face. "That Eevee looks strong." "We should be able to get a good price on the black market." Finn cowered genuinely at that thought, burying his head in Pink's arms. "I beg to differ," Koga smirked, thinking Finn was weak because of his cowardice. His fear was fake, however. Pink only tightened her hold on Finn in a protective manner. Pink kept quiet, however, and felt for her bag with her free hand. She found it, taking out her sketchbook and a pencil and pen, along with a few colored pencils. Pink had a good reference, so why not? Drawing always helped her calm down. She sketched out Finn, drawing each of his evolutions as an orb surrounding him. She then colored it and showed it to Finn. "Do you like it?" Finn looked up. "Ee-bui..." Pink looked down at her partner. "I know, Finn, but I can't do anything about that right now." She looked up at the trio. "Where's my PokeGear?" Surge piped up. "Oh, about that." "We lent it to the boss so he could...make a call." Pink looked confused. "A call to who?" Sabrina looked down at her. "Don't worry about it." "In the meantime, we'll take care of you." Pink groaned as the trio laughed. Pink thought of Silver and shuddered.

Silver was getting worried when his PokeGear buzzed. It was Pink. Or, at least Pink's Pokegear. "Hello?" "Is this Silver?" "Uh- yes?" Giovanni was on the other line. "Come to Saffron if you want to see your girlfriend- again." Beep. Silver was on the way.

Pink pretended to sleep, still holding Finn tight, as she listened to the trio talk outside the door. It had been hours, hours of mostly arguing. "How about we introduce the girl to the boss?" Koga nodded. "Alright, Surge." She heard footsteps, likely Surge's, going down the hallway. Sabrina levitated into the room. "Look, you're meeting the boss, don't do anything dumb, okay?" Sabrina did not try to hide the dryness in her voice. Pink groaned. "Thank you for that helpful information." Sabrina sneered. "No problem." Pink looked at Finn, who was keeping the act up perfectly. "Good job so far." She whispered to him. "Ee-bui..." They were interrupted by Koga, who walked into the room with someone behind him. "Surge thought it would be a good idea for you to meet the boss." Pink wondered as to why. "Uh-" She held Finn and composed herself. Koga shouted down the hallway. "You can come in now, boss." "Alright, Koga." Pink heard footsteps coming closer. She braced herself, squeezing Finn slightly. "Hello, Pink…" "H-hello." Finn had woken at this point and, as planned, acted scared of everything, including the figure in the shadows. Pink wasn't really scared either. But she wasn't showing it. "So you're Silver's girlfriend, hm?" "W-why is that important?" Giovanni sneered. "Silver is my son." Everything clicked in her head. "He's y-your son?" It all made sense now. But did Silver know his heritage? He was alone in a different part of the region when they met. And she heard the trio mention that Silver disappeared at the age of two… She thought about these things, bringing out her sketchbook and pencil. She started to draw, casting occasional glances at Giovanni. He wondered why he was being looked at but quickly realized that she was drawing him. She took out an array of blue pencils and colored the sketch, going over it with her pen. She then signed it with her initials. "May I see?" Giovanni was interested in her drawing. "Y-yes…" Pink tore it out and gave it to him. "This is impressive." He looked at the drawing. "Thank y-you…" She pet Finn, who had been sitting and listening. "Eee-bui!" "You love Pokemon, don't you?" Giovanni asked Pink. "Yes, I do." She gripped Dragonair's broken Pokeball, looking at her inside. "You have a Dragonair?" She put the serpent's PokeBall back on her belt, in fear of Dragonair being stolen. "Mhm." She was aware of her surroundings and wasn't letting her guard down. "I won't steal her from you." Pink didn't believe him, obviously, knowing Team Rocket's motives.

Silver called Murkrow back to its Pokeball and brought out Sneasel. "We have to stop Team Rocket, okay?" Sneasel nodded. They snuck past the Grunt guarding the entrance and started toward the stairs. Silver made it up with no trouble, with Sneasel being as strong as he was. Silver made it to 11F. The top floor that held the main offices was in front of him. Giovanni stepped out of the room Pink was in, hearing footsteps. Koga walked into that room. "Hey!" Giovanni turned around. Silver was right in front of him.

Koga stepped into the storage room with a twisted smirk on his face. "W-what are you doing?" Koga said nothing and sent out his Muk.

Silver's eyes gleamed with emotion. "Where is she?" Giovanni smirked. "Who?" Silver seethed. "Pink!" "Where is she!" Giovanni was using this as an opportunity to look at how his son had grown. Sneasel had snuck up behind Giovanni and was holding him at claw-point.
