Summary: Peter is babysitting the kids for the day at the Pickles residence and brings plenty of fun things for them to do while their parents have a relaxing day to themselves.
It was a beautiful sunny day in Yucaipa, California as Stu and Didi were getting ready to leave the house for the day to take a break from parenting as Peter rang the doorbell.
"Hello Peter" said Didi.
"Good Morning Mrs. Pickles" replied Peter.
"Wow that is a lot of stuff you got there" said Stu.
"Oh, I thought I'd bring plenty of fun things to keep the kids entertained today while you relax" replied Peter.
"Thanks Peter, you're a life-saver" said Stu.
"No problem" replied Peter.
"Are you sure the kids won't be too much of a handful for you" asked Didi.
"Don't worry Mrs. Pickles, everything will be fine" assured Peter.
"Alright then" replied Stu.
"Well, Me, Stu and the other parents will be back later" said Didi.
"Enjoy yourselves" replied Peter.
Stu and Didi headed for their car, pulled out of the driveway and drove away. Then Peter headed towards the playpen where the Rugrats, Angelica and Susie were.
"Good Morning Everybody" said Peter.
"Peter" exclaimed all the kids in unison as they ran to hug the Confederate leader.
"We're glad you're finally here" said Chuckie.
"Uh-huh, what are we gonna do for fun today" asked Kimi.
"Well, since your parents needed to take a break from parenting, I brought plenty of fun things here to keep you all busy" replied Peter.
Peter then showed the kids all the fun things he brought over.
"Wow" exclaimed all the kids in unison.
"We're gonna have so much fun with all this" said Tommy.
"Oh yeah" replied Phil and Lil in unison.
"I'm all hyped up about this" said Jesse.
"This holds plenty of promise" added Zack.
"Uh-huh, I'm gonna like this" replied Kimi.
"This is gonna be so exciting" said Savannah.
"Yeah, this will be lots of fun" replied Dil.
"I thinks I'm gonna enjoy this" added Chuckie.
"Well, what are we all standing around for, let's get started" said Angelica.
"Yeah" replied Susie and Zoey in unison.
Soon Peter took the kids to the front driveway and the sidewalk and gave them chalk.
"Here is plenty of chalk for you all to make any masterpiece you desire" said Peter.
"Yay" cheered all the kids in unison.
Soon the kids wasted no time getting their hands on the chalk and got to work.
"Im making a drawing of Me and Goober the Gopher together" said Dil.
"That's cool" replied Savannah. "I'm doing a drawing of Dora the Explorer, Boots the Monkey and the little Marquez siblings" she said.
"My drawing of a wormie is bigger than yours Phillip" said Lil.
"Nuh-uh, mine is biggerer than yours Lillian" replied Phil.
"Hey Zack" called Kimi. "What do you think of this drawing of Me and Super-Thing standing on top of defeated meanies" she asked.
"That looks real cool" replied Zack. "I'm doing a drawing of my favoritest superhero, Super Why saving the day" he said.
"And I'm doing a drawing of Me and Lil at a castle as Princess Rapoozle and a handsome Prince" said Jesse in a dreamily tone of voice.
"Hey girls" said Zoey. "What do you think of this masterpiece" she asked as she showed Angelica and Susie a big heart with all their friends in it.
"That's pretty cool" replied Angelica.
"Yep" added Susie.
"I'm doing a drawing of Cynthia in her Golden Chrome Cynthia Mobile" said Angelica.
"And I'm drawing the Dummi Bears" added Susie.
"Awesome" replied Zoey.
"Hey Chuckie" called Tommy. "I'm doing a drawing of Reptar on the moon" he said.
"That's cool" replied Chuckie. "And I'm doing a drawing of me relaxing comfortably on clouds in the sky" he said.
The kids continued until their creations were completed as Peter came outside to check on the kids.
"Wow, you are all very creative with your masterpieces" said Peter.
All the kids nodded in agreement.
"I'll take plenty of pictures, so that you'll remember it even when an eventual fall rain washes it away" said Peter.
Peter then snapped several photos of the sidewalk drawings before getting the next activity ready.
"The next activity will be stepping stones with pillows" said Peter.
"Yay" cheered the kids in unison.
"Um, would we do this inside or outside" asked Chuckie.
"Good question Chuckie" replied Peter. "Would you all prefer inside or outside" he asked.
"Outside" replied the others in unison.
"Alright, outside it is" said Peter.
Soon, Peter got the pillow-looking stepping stones he brought all set up around the backyard.
"Alright everyone, let's see if you can make it across from the patio to the sandbox on these" said Peter.
All the kids nodded in agreement as the backyard transformed into a babbling brook as Tommy went first.
"Easy does it" said Tommy as he treaded carefully across the stepping stones in the babbling brook.
Soon, Tommy made it across to the other side.
"I made it" exclaimed Tommy.
"My turn now" said Zack as he treaded carefully across the stepping stones in the babbling brook. "Slow and easy" said Zack.
Soon, Zack made it across to the other side.
"There's nothing to it" said Zack.
"I wanna go nextest" said Kimi as she slowly crossed the babbling brook on the stepping stones. "I can do this" said Kimi.
Soon, Kimi made it across to the other side.
"I did it" exclaimed Kimi.
"Oooooh, I wanna try" said Jesse as he maintained his balance crossing the babbling brook on the stepping stones. "Focus, focus" said Jesse.
Soon, Jesse made it to the other side.
"That was easy and I didn't let my hyperness throw me off balance and into the water" said Jesse.
"I wanna try" said Zoey as she started crossing the babbling brook on the stepping stones. "Slow and steady" said Zoey.
Soon, Zoey made it across to the other side.
"That wasn't too hard" said Zoey.
"Let me try nextest" said Dil as he carefully treaded across the stepping stones in the babbling brook. "I can do it, I can do it" said Dil.
Soon, Dil made it across to the other side.
"I've done it, I've done it" exclaimed Dil.
"I'm gonna give it a try now" said Savannah as she began crossing the babbling brook on the stepping stones. "Easy does it" said Savannah.
Soon, Savannah made it across to the other side.
"That was easy" said Savannah.
"My turn now" said Angelica as she treaded carefully across the stepping stones in the babbling brook. "Careful now" said Angelica.
Soon, Angelica made it across to the other side.
"That was a piece of cake" said Angelica.
"I wanna go next" said Phil as he carefully treaded across the stepping stones in the babbling brook. "Woah, thats a bit slippy" said Phil.
Soon, Phil made it across to the other side.
"Woah, I'm good" said Phil.
"Here I come nextest" said Lil as she treaded carefully across the stepping stones in the babbling brook. "Woah, that was close" said Lil.
Soon, Lil made it across to the other side.
"Yay, I made it" exclaimed Lil.
"Here I come" said Susie as she treaded carefully across the stepping stones in the babbling brook. "Steady and easy" said Susie.
Soon, Susie made it across to the other side.
"That was cutting it close, but I made it" said Susie.
"Well, I guess it's my turn now" said Chuckie as he bravely got on to the stepping stones in the babbling brook and treaded carefully across. "I gots to be brave, I gots to be brave" said Chuckie.
Soon, Chuckie made it across to the other side.
"Few, I thoughts I was gonna slip on those stones" said Chuckie.
"Yay" cheered all the kids in unison.
"We did it, we all made across the stepping stones" said Tommy.
The scene then transformed back into Tommy and Dil's backyard.
"I see you all liked that activity" said Peter as he gathered all the pillow-looking stepping stones off the grass.
"Yeah" replied all the kids in unison.
"What's next" asked Dil and Savannah in unison.
"Well, I'm glad you asked because like You and Savannah, you all get to run through the grass barefoot" said Peter.
All the kids eyes widened.
"Really" asked Jesse.
"Yes, I'm certain that your feet could use some air on a warm day like this" replied Peter.
"Yay" cheered all the kids in unison.
Soon, everyone took off their socks and shoes and were running around barefoot laughing and having fun.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha" laughed Tommy. "It feels good running around without shoes on again" he said.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha" laughed Chuckie. "The grass tickles my feets" he said.
"Ah, I feel so good running without shoes on" said Lil.
"Yep, and you can get your feets dirty without messing up your shoes" added Phil.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha" laughed Zack. "I've heard that letting kids running barefoot in the grass can make them feel young" he said.
"Uh-huh, this is so much fun" replied Kimi.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha" laughed Jesse. "I'm feeling more hyper with running around in the grass barefoot" he said.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha" laughed Dil. "I'm glad I don't gots to wear shoes yet" he said.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha" laughed Savannah. "We might as well enjoy it while You and Me aren't all growed up yet" replied Savannah.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha" laughed Angelica. "I haven't felt so happy like this before" she said.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha" laughed Zoey. "Yeah, this is fun" she replied.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha" laughed Susie. "It definitely can't get any better than this" she said.
The fun and laughter continued until the kids ran off plenty of energy and were lying in the grass and Peter called them in for lunch.
"Kids, it's time for a lunch break" said Peter.
Soon everyone was having lunch.
"So is everyone having a good time so far" asked Peter.
"Yeah" shouted all the kids in unison.
"We're having lots of fun" replied Phil and Lil in unison.
"You're doing a great job keeping us entertained while our parents are having some alone time to themselves" said Susie.
"Oh yeah" replied Angelica and Zoey in unison.
"Uh-huh, this is super fun" added Kimi.
"You makes a great babysitter with these fun games" said Chuckie.
"We hope you gots some more fun things for us to do after we eats" added Tommy.
"Not to worry guys, I do have some more activities for you to be kept busy when we are done with lunch" said Peter.
Eventually, everyone completed lunch and Peter was getting the next activity ready.
"What are all these you're laying on the floor" asked Jesse.
"I'm putting down lots of bubble wrap" replied Peter. "You all can either jump or dance on it" he added.
"Yay" cheered all the kids in unison.
Soon, all the kids were having the time of their lives playing with the bubble wrap.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha" laughed Dil. "I likes the popping sound this bubble wrap makes when we steps on it with our feets" he said.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha" laughed Savannah. "Yeah, I likes this too, this is fun" she replied.
"I bets I can jumps higher and pops more bubbles than you Phillip" said Lil.
"Nuh-uh, I can reach the ceiling and pops twice as much than you Lillian" replied Phil.
"I gotta say, popping these bubbles on this bubble wrap is entertaining" said Zack.
"Uh-huh, I likes stepping on them and hearing the popping sounds it makes" replied Kimi.
"Yeah and you don't gets hurted when you pop this bubble wrap" said Chuckie.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha" laughed Jesse. "I love doing this" he said.
"Yeah, I likes the popping sounds when we step on it" replied Tommy.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha" laughed Zoey. "Jumping up and down and popping these bubbles is lots of fun" she said.
"Oh yeah" replied Angelica and Susie in unison.
This continued until at last there were no more bubble wraps for them to pop.
"Are you guys ready for the next activity" asked Peter.
"Yeah" replied all the kids in unison.
Soon everyone was out in the backyard as Peter was blowing up lots of balloons.
"What game will we play with these balloons" asked Tommy.
"The game that you'll play with these balloons is balloon catch" replied Peter. "Let's see if you guys can catch these balloons" he added.
"Yay" cheered all the kids in unison.
Soon, all the kids were running joyously around the backyard catching colored balloons as Peter blew them up with air.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha" laughed Dil. "I gotted a purple balloon, it's the same color as my shirt" he said.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha" laughed Savannah. "I gotted a green balloon and it's the same color as my shirt too" she said.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha" laughed Phil. "I caughted a blue balloon, it's the same color as my shoes" he said.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha" laughed Lil. "I caughted a pink balloon and it's the same color as my shoes too" she said.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha" laughed Tommy. "I gotted a blue balloon and it's the same color as the sky" he said.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha" laughed Angelica. "I caught a pink balloon and it's the same color as Cynthia's dress" she said.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha" laughed Zack. "I gotted a green balloon and it's the same color as my shirt, as well as Reptar" he said.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha" laughed Kimi. "I gotted a red balloon and it's the same color as the cape that my favoritest hero Super-Thing wears" she said.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha" laughed Susie. "I caught a yellow balloon and it's the same color as one of the Dummi Bears" she said.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha" laughed Zoey. "I caught an orange balloon and it's the same color as a pumpkin" she said.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha" laughed Chuckie. "I gotted a red balloon and it's the same color as my red hair" he said.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha" laughed Jesse. "I gotted a white balloon and it's the same color as the clouds" he said.
The excitement of catching balloons continued for a pretty good while until Peter was all out of balloons and the kids were catching their breath from all the running around catching the balloons.
"Well guys" said Peter. "Are you ready for one more activity before snack time" he asked.
"Yeah" replied all the kids in unison.
Soon, Peter got out a bunch of pillows he brought set up in the living room into a huge pile that would look like a mountain to the eyes of children.
"Wow, that's a lot of pillows" said Chuckie.
"Uh-huh, what will we do with them" asked Kimi.
"We are going to see if you guys can climb up this mountain of pillows" replied Peter.
"You means likes climbing Mount Neverest" (Mount Everest) asked Tommy.
Peter nodded yes.
"Yay" cheered all the kids in unison.
"I just hopes Tommy doesn't lose his bravery again, likes the time he did when he fell and was ascared as me for awhile till he had the guts and comes to our rescue when most of us were in trouble and that the cat was about to get us" Chuckie thought to himself.
At that moment the living room transformed into a snow covered Mount Everest.
"Alright guys" said Tommy. "Do we gots everything we needs before we begin" he asked.
"We got the ropes" said Angelica, Susie and Zoey in unison.
"We gots extra diapies" said Dil and Savannah in unison.
"We gots the hats and gloves" said Phil and Lil in unison.
"And we gots plenty of food" said Chuckie, Kimi, Zack and Jesse in unison.
"Great, we're ready and I'm not gonna get ascared this time" said Tommy.
"You were ascared to climb Mount Neverest Tommy" asked Zack.
"If we get's to the top, I'll tells you abouts it" replied Tommy.
"Yay Tommy" cheered Kimi. "And Chuckie, don't you worry, we are all behinds you too" she added.
"Um, Okay, I guess it's okay now that we are all doing this together" said Chuckie.
Soon all the kids bravely began making their way up the mountain.
"So far, so good" said Tommy.
"Yeah" replied the others in unison.
The gusty winds made Chuckie slip a bit and lose his footing.
"Ahhhh" screamed Chuckie.
"Relax Chuckie" said Kimi. "You can do this" she said.
"And remember, we gots to try and not makes too much noise or an avalanche will happen" added Tommy.
The others nodded in agreement as they continued making their way up Mount Everest.
"We are way up higher just like the lastest time" said Chuckie.
"Don't worry Chuckie, we can do this" replied Tommy.
"Uh-huh, we're gonna show em who's bossy when we reach the toppie a second time" added Kimi.
"When the wind really whips around, we are close to the top of the mountain" said Susie.
"Yeah, we will reach the top of the mountain" replied Zoey.
"If I know my cousin Tommy, he will stop at nothing until he accomplishes something" added Angelica.
"There's nothing to fear, but fear it's self" said Zack.
"Oh yeah" replied Phil and Lil in unison.
"If I know my big brother, he will never give up until he reaches his desired goal" said Dil.
"Yeah, Tommy is the bravliest baby leader we know" added Savannah.
"I'm real eager to reach the top of Mount Neverest" (Mount Everest) said Jesse.
It took awhile, but at last everyone made it to the top of Mount Everest safely.
"Yay" cheered all the kids in unison.
"We did it, we all climbed to the top of Mount Neverest" (Mount Everest) said Tommy.
"And while I'm still fearful of stuff, I'm glad I didn't let my fear stop the adventure" added Chuckie.
"Uh-huh, I tolded you we were all behinds you" said Kimi.
"Yeah" replied the others in unison.
"Oh" went Tommy. "I said I'd tell you guys when we got to the top about how I wasn't the bravliest baby for a while" he said.
Tommy then explained how he slipped down a slide and looked up in fear on wanting to play their mountain game during the time he lost his bravery for a little while and being scared until his friends were in trouble and called for help as it helped him overcome his fear and came to their aid.
"I guess seeing that your friends were in trouble gave you the guts to face your fears and help them out" said Zack.
The others nodded in agreement. At that moment the scene changed back into the living room.
"Well guys" said Peter. "Did you all have fun today" he asked.
"Yeah" said all the kids in unison.
"For snack time, I brought chocolate Reptar bars for everyone" said Peter.
"Yay" cheered all the kids in unison.
Soon, everyone was enjoying their treats and sowing their tongues as they ate.
"This was a real fun adventure today" said Tommy.
"Yeah, it was fun" replied Phil and Lil in unison.
"I've been brave at times before, but today I really was when we crossed on the stepping stones and climbed Mount Neverest (Mount Everest) again" said Chuckie.
"Uh-huh, and we made it to the toppie of Mount Neverest (Mount Everest) again just likes the lastest time" added Kimi.
"No trouble making complaints or antics from Angelica was the bestest part if one were to ask me" Zack thought to himself.
"Nothing like chocolate treats to end a fun day" said Susie.
"Yeah, we like chocolate" replied Angelica and Zoey in unison.
"Yep, I think we were all hyped up with the things we did today" added Jesse.
"We will have to do something like this again when our mommies and daddies wants some alone time" said Dil.
"Yeah, it was awesome" replied Savannah.
"I'm glad that everyone had a great time today" said Peter.
The Rugrats, Angelica, Susie and Zoey all gave Peter a big hug, just as Stu and Didi entered the house.
"Awww, isn't this precious" asked Didi.
"It certainly is Deed" replied Stu.
"Ah, hello Mr. and Mrs. Pickles, we've just wrapped up the fun for the day" said Peter.
"Thanks Peter, we and the other parents really owe you one for keeping the kids entertained today while we took a break from parenting" said Stu.
"Thank you Mr. Pickles, it was my pleasure" replied Peter. "Well, I've got to be heading back to the castle now" he added.
"Thanks again Peter" said Didi.
"Good-bye for now" said Peter as he got his gear packed up and Stu and Didi watched him head off for the castle.
"You know Deed, we're real lucky to have a babysitter that really has a way with children" said Stu.
Didi nodded in agreement as they headed back into the house to see that the kids have fallen asleep.
"I guess the kids were so busy from their day of fun they got tired out" whispered Didi.
"Let's walk out quietly until their parents arrive to take them home" whispered Stu.
Didi nodded in agreement as they stepped quietly away and let the kids sleep peacefully.
The end
