"Cassie"! Sam yelled as if he hoped it would awaken her; he was curious why all the sudden why Abigail and Joy were feeling dizzy but Cassie was knocked unconscious. He held her in her arms hoping soon she would come back to him. Finally after about what felt like forever but was only like 20 minutes. Cassie woke up and Sam was relieved and wanted to take her straight to Hillcrest to be checked out now. "I will go tomorrow but right now I just want to be with" Cassie said , Sam better than to argue with her again he agreed. Soon everyone left Joy and George went up to bed leaving Cassie and Sam alone.
Cassie and Sam sat on the couch all Sam could do was stare at Cassie thinking that he could have lost her tonight. "I am ok" Cassie said , "I will never stop worrying about you" Sam said, "I know that and I will never stop worrying about you working too much"Cassie said. "I could have lost you tonight" Sam said , "I'm not going anywhere" Cassie said in a reassuring voice, "I need to cut back at work and be here with you clearly by me working so much I missed out on you solving this Merriwick mystery" Sam said, That's very sweet but I know you too well you can't do that" Cassie said , " I can try" Sam said , "Only a shoulder injury only briefly slowed you down the minute you could go back you went back" Cassie said , "I will never break a promise again like that to you" Sam said. "You are forgiven this time" Cassie said , Sam slightly chuckled. Sam was thinking he had to change his ways for Cassie and he knew exactly what he had to do. Sam and Cassie went up to bed.
The next morning at Hillcrest Sam was waiting outside of Grant's office for him to arrive, Grant came around the corner , "Sam!?" Grant said, confused. "I need to talk to you" Sam said , "OK come on in" Grant said they both walked into Grant's office. Grant sits at his desk and Sam sits across from him, "I need to take a leave of absence" Sam said , "OK how long?" Grant asked , "2 to 3 months" Sam said "Can I ask why?" Grant asked confused, "I need to make good on my word, I need to do something drastic for Cassie and that is take her on a trip around the world. "Why now?" Grant asked , "It's a long story that you probably wouldn't understand" Sam said , "Ok" Grant said , "If you need to replace me I totally understand" Sam said, "You are coming back right?" Grant asked , "As of this Moment I don't know," Sam said as he walked out of his office with a half smile on his face.
At Grey House Cassie was worried about the looming moon outside and what was going to happen. She was looking out the window drinking tea when Sam sunk up behind her and as he put his arms on her shoulders she jumped. "Hey, what are you doing at home?" Cassie asked surprised, "Decided I needed to be here instead with you where you need me" Sam said smiling trying to make things ok for Cassie, "Thank you that means alot but aren't you needed at the hospital?" Cassie asked."You are more important than my job at the hospital" Sam said smiling looking into Cassie's eyes. "I love you and never want me to doubt my love for you" Sam said gazing into Cassie's eyes. "I may have been upset with you but I never doubted my love for you" Cassie said. "You make me want to be better," Sam said, grabbing Cassie and pulling her close to his chest, kissing her on the forehead.
That night Cassie and Sam were having dinner, Cassie seemed quiet, "What's wrong Sam asked, "What if we can't stop the Red Halo moon?" Cassie asked , "I do love you Merriwick or not?" Sam said, "Really?" Cassie asked surprised, "What I love about you is the ability to help people" Sam said. "I love that you see me for who I am not just a Merriwick" Cassie said smiling", " I love you because you help people and you were the first person I trusted when I came to Middleton" Sam said smiling at Cassie. You were the first person I saw a life with after Jake died. "Together we will stand forever no matter what. I promise I will be right here and I will never leave you" Sam said. Sam gets up and clears the plates.
That night Cassie and Sam are laying in bed , Cassie can't sleep knowing tomorrow is the day the red halo moon could take over if they don't finish the amulet in time. Sam wakes up and sees her laying awake staring into darkness he turns on the light and pulls her close. "I know between the three of you will defeat this red halo moon. "I will help in any way I can," Sam said in a reassuring voice.
The next morning Cassie is in the kitchen making breakfast when Sam walks in and smells something burning he quickly goes over and turns off the burner he puts his arm around cassie who is deep in thought. "Are you ok?" Sam asked , "Y-yeah I am fine" Cassie said Sam looks puzzled at Cassie and decides that he needs to stay home and make sure she is ok. Sam knows alot is looming and he wants to help her but he doesn't know how.
Cassie Joy and Abigail work hard to make the amulet and Sam stands in the background wishing there was a way he could help but he knows Cassie needs him close by to lend a hand in any way possible and he knows once this is over the surprise he has planned will be just what she needs.
That night the clock almost strikes midnight as they scramble to finish the amulet and they finally finish the amulet with minutes to spare. Sam puts the amulet around Cassie's neck as they go stand outside and defeat the moon..
That night after Adam and Stephaine's wedding they are up in their bedroom Cassie sits on the bed to take off her shoes and Sam kneels in front her "I want to take you around the world" Sam said , "Wait What?" Cassie asked, confused, "You and me around the world, just the two of us together, we could go anywhere you want. All I know is that I want to be with you and be with you every second with you and I know I have been too busy and that is all going to change because I don't want to have any regrets about not spending enough time with you" Sam said , "I don't' want that either'' Cassie said , "So will you accompany me around the world?" Sam asked , "Yes I will," Cassie said. Cassie and Sam stand up and kiss and she hugs him with so much joy.
Cassie and Sam arrive in Pairs "I can't believe we made to Paris" Cassie said smiling from ear to ear, ''What makes me happy is being here with you" Sam said as he went in to kiss Cassie she kissed him back , they held hands walking through Paris being in love and the only two people getting to spend every minute together . Cassie looks deep into Sam eyes "Thank you for planning this amazing trip for us" Cassie said , "I needed to show you in the most grand way I could that I love you" Sam said as he kissed Cassie. "Just think next week we'll be in Spain to see Grace. I can't wait for that" Cassie said , "It makes me so happy to see you so happy" Sam said . "I love being here with you, this is my favorite place in the world," Cassie said . Sam smiles knowing he nailed it.
Night had fallen and Sam had arranged for dinner at the top of the eiffel tower, just the two of them with a view of the whole city at night. Cassie was beaming with excitement Sam couldn't help but watch her excitement. "As much as I don't want to leave Paris I am beyond thrilled to see Grace, "I am excited to see her to" Sam said , "I love how much you care about Grace" Cassie said , "She is your daughter and so she means lot to me because of you" Sam said as she reached across to kiss him. "You have made me happier than I ever thought possible" Cassie said , "Same in return" Sam said .
The next day they packed up to catch their plane to Spain where Cassie could feel the excitement building knowing she was going to see Grace very soon.
