"That was so embarrassing," Vaati thought to himself over and over again as he ran out of Jina's home.

Not only did his dignity hurt, but also his right ring finger. The fancy silver ring that Link placed on his head. It had a tight grip on his finger, and it had a burning sensation, as if it were searing hot. Thinking back, he was getting along well with the kids up until that moment.

That moment that overwhelmed him so much.

Vaati spent a night sleeping under the four Links' bed. Despite the boys' constant whispering amongst themselves, he was able to sleep soundly. He felt bad for biting the lavender nightgown clad boy, but he didn't like the attention he was getting, nor being picked up by one arm.

In the morning, he was woken up by two feet pattering across the floorboards.

"Red, where are you going?" Vaati heard a quiet voice from above the bedframe.

"It's morning and I'm hungry!" The boy presumably named Red exclaimed.

"Don't be so loud, you'll wake up Green and Blue."

"Sorry, Violet." Red apologized as he walked back to the bed and plopped himself on it.

Vaati giggled to himself. They nicknamed themselves after colors? That's funny. He rubbed his eyes and did a little stretch before deciding to play with them a little.

"Red."

Red perked up and looked behind him.

"Huh? Did you say something?" He asked Violet.

"No," Violet looked behind him to see if Green and Blue were awake. They weren't.

"my voice isn't that girly."

Vaati was offended by that claim. He ran out from under the bed and faced them, bore his teeth and glared at each of their faces.

"My voice is not girly."

Red and Violet looked down at Vaati, confused, and after a moment they laughed out loud. Vaati growled.

Green woke up, annoyed.

"Ugh, can you guys be quiet? I'm trying to sleep."

"No, Green, it's morning! Stay awake." Red begged him.

Blue was still sound asleep, seemingly unbothered.

A soft, short knock was heard on the bedroom door.

"Good morning, boys. May I enter?" A female voice greeted softly from the outside.

"Yes," Green invited her in.

Jina's nursemaid entered the room and walked toward the boys, almost stepping on Vaati (as she cannot see him).

"Good morning, Alicia!" Green, Red, and Violet all greeted.

"I heard you were awake and came over to ready you all for the day. I can only take one of you at a time so please, one of you come with me, and the rest of you, brush your teeth."

Alicia held out her hand and Violet went first with her to get dressed. Red attempted to wake up Blue while Green left the bedroom to go brush his teeth.

Vaati took this time to think about how to apologize to Violet about biting him. He also wanted to know where he was and who he was. He could probably tag along with the boys until he was able to get back on track to whatever he could've been doing before he forgot. It hurt his head when he tried to think about it, and even felt waves of dread when he felt he was close to remembering.

He decided against thinking about it again and watched as the four Links dressed themselves behind the collapsible dressing wall, holding a conversation amongst themselves and Alicia.

"I don't think mamma will let us go back home. I think she's scared of us."

"I'd be scared too if there were four versions of my kids."

"But Green, that just means we are a bigger family now! Momma would be less lonely. And we could clean the house faster! And help her cook faster, and shop faster, and do everything faster!"

"Red… she can't take care of all of us at the same time. And besides, we did a bad thing!"

A couple gasps could be heard.

"Oh no! I remembered!"

"Aw man! We are in trouble.."

Alicia giggled.

"Don't worry. All you boys have to do is give the swords back to the King. He will forgive you, trust me. And you'll have a special home in castle town, as well."

A collective "Really?!" Is heard from all the boys. They were all relieved to hear that.

Thinking about the swords, which were leaning on the wall near the window, made Vaati feel very uneasy. He slipped through under the bedroom door, leaving the room and looking for somewhere else to go. He was hungry, anyway.

Running down the hall was a girl who seemed to be a bit older than the Links, also hungry for breakfast and couldn't wait to see what her father was making. But she stopped in her tracks and screamed as soon as she saw Vaati, and fell backwards, scooting away and still yelling in fear.

Vaati panicked. "Wait! I'm friendly!! Don't run away!"

The girl stopped moving away and calmed down, taking deep breaths.

"You're not a rat?"

"No!! I am hungry."

"What's a hungry?"

"No, I want food!"

"Oh.. uhm, I'm Jina."

Jina slowly crawled towards Vaati and held out her pinky for him to shake. He took it in his hands but didnt know what to do with it. She wiggled her pinky up and down slowly.

"Hello, Jina." Vaati smiled warmly.

"What's your name?" Jina asked him.

"Uhhh…"

A distant man's voice came from all the way down the hall.

"Breakfast is ready!"

Jina tried to smell the air.

"Mmm! Daddy made something good! Come on, you can eat breakfast with me!" Jina was excited and got up to run to the dining room. Vaati tried to catch up himself, but he was too slow.

"Wait for me!"

Jina looked back and giggled a little. She ran back and picked Vaati up, cupping her palm so he did not fall off when she ran. Catching up to her were the Links, all exclaiming how hungry they were, and Alicia, chasing after Violet because he did not put his overshirt on yet.

The kids and Alicia burst into the dining room, drooling over the smell of breakfast.

The table was long, and had enough food for everyone. It was adorned with an embroidered tablecloth and it had a couple pitchers of water. The meal? Tabantha style omelette and a biscuit with frozen fruits.

"Good morning, everyone." Jina's father greeted everyone from the table.

"Good morning!"

Everyone that entered sat down at the table and thanked Jina's father for making the meal before eating. Jina placed Vaati on her lap and discreetly fed him tiny pieces of fruit (though she insisted she put the pieces directly in his mouth to prevent getting her dress filthy).

Alicia had spotted her taking food under the table but was alarmed when she saw it disappear. She dared not to ask what Jina was doing.
