Little Witch Academia: The Demon Egg

Prologue: Red Glow

Somewhere in the dark of night under a Blood Moon, the streets of a strange kingdom were filled with soldiers. These soldiers were suited in red and orange armor that matched the color of flames speaking of flames they covered the corners of the street at the edge of every house. And staring down at this waste of a city was a grand red castle that blocked the full view of the crimson moon and a heavy mist of darkness escaped through every window.

The front gates of the castle opened up and an individual with no armor came out. He was a young adult looking man with beautiful skin, a handsome looking face, and extremely blue eyes that could rival diamonds themselves. He wore a long blue jacket with black designs of flames on it and his jacket was open to reveal wore a black buttoned shirt and dark pants with fancy black shoes. His hair was short and jet black but another interesting feature on his head was that there were blue horns like a goat but the tip was slowly turning black itself.

Fully examining this person he was not human. And the domain of where they all were was not of human origin either. The soldiers stood at attention as he approached.

He cleared his throat and spoke aloud so that everyone could hear him. "Where is the old witch?"

One soldier whose armor had more spikes than the rest came forward and answered, "We could not find her sir! She seemed to use some magic to get away!"

"Blasted!" the handsome horned man cursed. "You find that woman immediately! She holds the power of the ancient demons and the king wants it! Continue your search and if I find that any of you are slacking I will relieve you of your duties…permanently…"

The horned man's body was surrounded by a sinister blue aura that seemed to make the whole ground shake. Each and every one of the soldiers gulped in fear.

"D-don't worry sir! We won't let you down!"

On the other side of the wasted town hiding behind a destroyed building was a small old lady covered in wrinkles and had brown dots on her face. She wore an old gray robe with nice triangular patterns on it and wore a gray witch hat. The old witch also carried two things one was an old wooden staff and the other was something big bundled in cloth. Coming from the cloth was a strange red glow.

"I got it out in time but…" the old lady stared at the thing buried in the clothing. "How much time is there before it hatches?"

"Keep looking, men!"

The old witch crouched as a few soldiers ran past the building she was hiding behind.

"That old hag couldn't have gone far! Come on!"

Once she was sure they were gone the old woman stood up and sighed.

"I've waited long enough. My magic should be okay to go now. Thank goodness the Underworld is a magical realm with an endless supply of magic otherwise I wouldn't be able to fight my way through. Those miniature Sorcerer Stones that witches and wizards have nowadays are just not doing it for me."

"Leaving so soon ma'am?"

The old witch jumped and turned around to face the horned man looking down at her like she was an ant and he was ready to squash her. She tightly held onto the clothes and pointed her staff at the man like a gun.

"Don't come any closer, demon!"

The horned man ignored her warning and walked forward.

"You came into our domain and didn't think there would be consequences for stealing? Not to mention the importance of the item you stole is of great value to our king so it would be so kind of you if you could return it."

"As if!" the old lady barked. "If the Demon King takes ownership of this and it hatches it would be the end of the Human World and the World of Magic as we know it! Don't you demons know what this is!?"

"Yes!" the horned man yelled as his iris became dark as pupils looked as fierce as a lion. "It is the egg of an Ancient Demon from the Silver Age. When magical beasts once roamed the human world. If our king gains ownership of this beast he will rule all of the dimensions!"

The old witch shook her head. "You are a fool. This beast is a Master of Chaos! It must not be hatched!"

"You cannot stop its birth and we will not let you escape with it!"

The horned man outstretched his hand and started chanting. His voice became deeper and echoed throughout the land sounding it was overlapping with a million other deep voices.

"Cinis Sealbhóir!"

The nails of the horned man became sharper and his hand turned black. He then lunged at the old witch but the small old woman was quick enough to dodge. The black claws stabbed through the ground which made a hole in its place. The old woman tried to run but the horned man wasn't done yet. Out of sleeve were black chains and he threw them at the old woman and wrapped them around her ankles.

"Ah!"

She fell to the ground hard but still held onto her staff and the thing under the bundles which seemed to be an egg.

The horned man stood up. "Give up Vanessa. You do not want to make enemies of us."

The old witch known as Vanessa looked up and retorted with her face full of determination, "If this beast is released it will be the end of all of us! I will not let that happen!"

She held up her staff and yelled, "Devium Ducit Ad Lucem!"

A bright leyline portal appeared above her and sucked her, freeing her from the chains. The horned man tried to get her before the portal closed but was too late. The demon fell to his knees and roared out in frustration as The Witch Vanessa got away with the Demon Egg.

Author's Note:

Hey guys it's me again! This was a story I was thinking of writing since last month and I'm honestly excited to do so. But first to make this clear this story was originally suppose to be a story in the LWA Manga but the manga was canceled and the story never saw the light of day. So characters and events are completely made up by me but all credit for the story of the Demon Egg (and cover art) should be given to the manga creator Keisuke Sato, go give the LWA manga a read if you like. So different from my LWA story this story is just the fun misadventures of the Red Team. I will try to update more chapters as soon as I can so look forward to it and for all of those who are waiting for my other stories, I promise to get those up and running as quickly as possible as well. Thank you and I hope you all are healthy!
