Hey everyone, this is my attempt at writing a Percy Jackson fanfic where Percy gets betrayed by most of his friends, and then gets a new job from the gods as the guardian of Artemis and the hunt.
I know that this is something that's written about a lot, and there are a lot of fanfics focusing on a similar story line, but I still urge you all to give my story a chance.
It may seem super cliche or really similar to other stories, especially the first few chapters, since there are only so many ways you can start a story, but I do have lots of plans for this and a lot of unique things planned in the future that I know little to no other fanfics have.

Summary:
A few months after the giant war, a new demigod arrives at camp. Power Hungry and selfish, he quickly turns Percy's closest friends against him, trying to steal Percy's title as camp leader. When all but a few have left him, Percy finally leaves the camp, promising himself that he will never return. Deciding to visit his mother and stepfather, Percy finds out that they were both dead. Killed by Gaea's servant as revenge. A heartbroken Percy goes to the gods with just one request. To die. Realizing that Percy needed a new purpose and someone new to fight for, the gods come to the agreement that Percy would be the right person to join Artemis and her hunters as their Guardian. Accepting the offer, Percy becomes the guardian of the hunt, much to the dislike of the hunters. Suddenly, Apollo gives forth a new prophecy, foretelling the awakening of another terrible evil, and says that Percy is the only one who can save the gods and the demigods from certain destruction. Will Percy be able to become stronger? Will he be willing to go back to those that once betrayed him? Will he even want to help them out in this next war? Well, read the story to find out!
