Star Trek Vs Star Wars:
The End
A multiverse in turmoil! Following the mysterious arrival of temporally dislocated ships on both sides of the war, both sides have been fighting to keep their own populations calm whilst at the same time discovering why it has occured. While ships from the past, present and multiple different futures meet on the front lines of the war, others hang back in order to discover the truth as to why they have arrived in this time.
There is not a moment's rest for the Galactic Empire, now fighting a war on two fronts. With the arrival of the Borg into the Empire's Universe, the Imperial Navy has been stretched thin in an attempt to fight off the zombie-like beings from assimilating the entire Galaxy. With this, the Imperials have diverted lots of valuable resources away from their invasion of the Federation's Universe, giving the forces of the Milky Way a fighting chance against the Empire.
However, not all is well in the Federation Alliance. With forces from varying time periods having various different mindsets about the others in the alliance, the Klingons, Romulans and Dominion have distanced themselves away from fighting alongside the Federation as they attempt to keep these opinions under control. Despite this, almost all of formerly occupied space is now back in the hands of it's original owners. All that remains to be reclaimed is the Ivor system; the birthplace of the war and the one place the Alliance can't penetrate…
Chapter 1: Legacy
The depths of space had been disturbed. Defiled by the lengthy presence of the anomaly, space and time had been horrendously corrupted. The damage was so significant that even time itself had begun to unravel, and it would not be long before the damage already caused would be irreversible.
This damage, however, was unseen by the crew of the USS Sovereign and the rest of it's task force behind them as they headed towards the large form of Starbase 314 ahead. A relatively new starbase, only established in the years after the Dominion War, the space station was now effectively the Federation Alliance's leading outpost in the fight against the Empire. The stations brand new quick repair and servicing stations allowed damaged starships to get back to the fight faster than ever before, and these facilities were numerous to service an entire fleet in only 2 days.
Captain's log, Stardate 58880.60. Task force 4 has arrived back at Starbase 314 after a two week campaign in the Badlands ratting out Imperial resistance. As of our current knowledge, now there remains only one Imperial controlled system in the entire Galaxy; the Ivor system. I've authorized shore leave for the entire fleet while I confer with the Admiralty about our next moves.
As several ships from varying eras broke off from the main fleet to go into various repair docks, the Sovereign, followed by a 2260's Constitution Class and a newer Noble Class headed towards the large form of the Starbase. The large bay doors opened up to reveal dozens of starships already in the base. Slowly but carefully, the Sovereign guided itself into alignment with the doors before waiting for the auto-docking mechanism to take over.
On the bridge of the ship, Captain Trent watched over his crew as they began to wrap up the delicate operation of docking the starship within the Starbase. He had no doubt in his mind that they could complete the task to his satisfaction as various crewmembers walked around passing around information and completing various tasks.
"Docking control, this is USS Sovereign, signalling all clear for docking." signalled Th'etonnor.
"Sovereign, this docking control, you are cleared for docking. Standby for automated docking to begin."
The ship rocked slightly as the station's tractor beams took a hold of the ship in order to guide it through the entry point. The viewscreen was filled with the view of spacedock as the rest of space disappeared in a sea of metal. The tractor beams let go as the ship then guided itself the rest of the way inside.
"Sovereign, this is docking control. You have been assigned to Docking Bay 16. Please proceed to dock at ¼th thrusters. Welcome to Starbase 314!"
"Would you look at that?" pointed out Hawk as she stared at the massive form of the Constitution-K class ahead of her. As the ship had come from a reality where the USS Kelvin had been destroyed, separating it from the main timeline, it had been decided that any ship from that timeline was to be re-registered with a K in order to tell them apart from their main timeline counterparts. Their classes were also classified with a K as well, as their designs were similar but vastly different to their counterpart classes, enough so to be considered completely separate classes of their own in some cases.
"That's the Enterprise-K." clarified Aldrin. "The flagship of the Federation in that alternate timeline."
"Well, it's good to know that they like their ships big." remarked Trent as he looked slightly squeamish.
"Come on, you've got to admit it is impressive."
"I don't know, it looks a bit too shiny and white to me. It's distracting."
"Well, regardless of that, it's powerful too." added Th'etonnor. "She's more than a match for one of our Galaxy Class ships. And they've got another 11 of these things too."
"I think I'm happy here aboard the Sovereign." stated Trent, trying to turn away the topic of the conversation. "I wonder what they're doing here."
"They're probably also involved in that meeting you've got." figured Aldrin. "Hey, is that the Enterprise-E there?"
"You're right." answered Horan. "All the other Enterprises are meant to be here as well."
"Well what a coincidence." commented Trent. "It looks like I'll be dealing with the greats today."
"That you will be." remarked Hawk. "Initiating docking procedures."
The Sovereign pulled aside it's assigned docking point before slowly aligning itself with the respective docking points. Once it had done so, two massive docking clamps attached themselves to the saucer, securing the ship in place as docking corridors extended outwards towards the ship. An umbilical cord magnetically attached the ship's power systems to the station, allowing the ship to run completely off the station's power.
"Well, I'll be off now." Declared Trent as he got out of his chair. "Aldrin, you have the conn. I don't want anymore...unfortunate accidents involving Bat'leths."
"I'll be sure to avoid them this time Captain." jokingly replied Aldrin. "But I can't help it if someone gets their hands on any Romulan Whiskey."
With a small chuckle, Trent walked over to the turbolift. "Just remember, I don't want to have to come back and find the bridge wrecked."
"Oh don't worry, we won't wreck the bridge, we'll wreck the bar!" declared Hawk.
"Now that's what I want to hear." replied Trent in a jovial manner as he walked into the turbolift. "Remember though that we could leave at any time, so don't get too smashed."
"We'll try to keep things under control here." assured Aldrin as the turbolift doors closed, taking Trent to his destination.
Outside Starbase 314's briefing room, Captain Va'Kel Shon was busy finalizing a presentation he was about to give to the leading Captains of the Federation fleet. Only a few months ago he was living in 2411, dealing with the fallout of Chancellor J'mpok's usage of the mycelial weapon on Khitomer. Now, however, he was the commanding officer over the thousands of starships which had arrived from the 2400's, from the smallest Reliant or ShiKar Class light cruiser to the largest Odyssey Class Star Cruiser or Jupiter Class Carrier. He had never expected to become head commanding officer over the 5,000 ships which had come back with him, scattered across the Federation, some even stranded in the depths of Gamma or Delta Quadrant space.
"I can assume you're Captain Shon." stated a voice. Looking up from his PADD, Shon saw the owner of that voice; a Human, probably in his mid to late 30's with a late 2370's Command division uniform on.
"You must be Captain Trent." he remarked. "I've heard a lot about you."
"Please don't tell me Admiral Picard's been talking crap about me behind my back." jokingly replied Trent. The two officers shared a small laugh together before the conversation continued. "So, I can assume you're here for the meeting."
"That I am." answered Shon. "So you made first contact with these people, right?"
"Been there, done that."
"What was it like?"
"Well, for a start they assumed we were a defunct state from their Galaxy. Then when we tried to save the ship they were attacking, they fired on us. And that leads on to this day."
"So, did you hail them or…?
"Oh yes of course we hailed them. Multiple times in fact. We always offered some sort of peaceful alternative to violence, but they turned it down and forced us to defend ourselves."
"I see. Diplomatic corps have much luck after that?"
"We never had the time for that. Starfleet was temporarily shut down after the USS Discovery arrived from 2258, revealing a whole bunch of classified data about how Starfleet basically lied to the Federation about it's activities in the Klingon War. While that happened, the Empire declared war on us and claimed a swathe our space before we could react, and the tide of the war has been shifting back and forth ever since."
"Right. So what do you think is necessary to end this war?"
Trent thought for a moment before he answered this question.
"To tell you the truth, I think what we need to do is cut ourselves off from that universe altogether. They don't listen to reason, they don't want to negotiate and their sole motive appears to be the destruction of all non-human life. There's no reasoning with them. If worse comes to worse we can find a way to destroy the anomalies and end this war altogether."
"But what about the tens of thousands of temporally displaced ships and their crews?"
"We'll cross that bridge when we come to it."
Just as he finished his sentence, a whole group of Starfleet officers walked in from a turbolift. Neither Trent nor Shon had to ask to know who any of them were.
"Greetings Captain Trent." greeted Admiral Picard. "Me and the other Enterprise Captains were in the midst of a discussion of our crews while we were in the turbolift."
"I'm sure it was interesting." replied Trent.
"Let's just get this over with." sarcastically stated the alternate Captain Kirk.
"I must agree with my counterpart here, we should get this over with." added the Prime Captain Kirk.
"Then what are we waiting for?" put out Shon. gesturing towards the meeting room, the group turned and walked inside, leaving the corridor empty once more.
As the Captains made themselves comfortable, Captain Shon set up a hyper-secure link to Starfleet Command. Within moments, the holographic generators of the briefing room opened up, bringing forth the forms of several Starfleet Admirals; Forrest, Cornwall, Nogura, Ross and Quinn. Their images materialized into the empty chairs closer to the head of the table, near the room's briefing screen.
"Greetings Captains." Began Ross. "I know some of us are a bit short on time here, so I'll allow Captain Shon to go ahead with his presentation."
"Thank you Admiral." thanked Shon as he flicked up his presentation from his PADD. the screen displayed a battle map of territory control throughout the entire war as Shon began talking.
"Gentlemen, we've almost done it. After months of hard work, and with the sudden arrival of tens of thousands of temporally displaced ships, the Federation has managed to reclaim almost all of our territory back. And with the Empire now distracted by the Borg, it's time to take them to the negotiating table."
"Hold on a second." disrupted Alternate Kirk. "you're saying we've beaten this impossible enemy to the point where we could cut them off from us for good, and now you want to negotiate with them?"
"I hate to sound pessimistic here but I agree with Captain Kirk on this." agreed Trent. "No matter what, the Empire won't listen to reason. Their stubbornness will mean that even if we set up a treaty with them, they can and will destroy us the moment we turn our backs on them. And despite the fact that now we have just as many ships as them, they've still got more powerful ones. I suggest that we find some way of destroying the anomaly so that we don't have to put up with them until we have the capability to deal with them."
"Despite Captain Trent's protests, I believe that there is still a chance for negotiations." rebutted Admiral Picard. "There's no way the Empire can maintain a war on two fronts for so long. Without our help, especially against an enemy such as the Borg, they will surely fall."
"Don't forget the rumours of their new futuristic superships." added Forrest. "They may even have another Eclipse."
"It's clear that the room is divided on this matter." pointed out Quinn. "What if we were to bring the Klingons to the table as well? Maybe even the Romulans or the Dominion?"
"The Klingons don't trust us right now, and the people from my era certainly don't trust them." answered Prime Kirk. "The Romulans would be the same, and I'm not so sure that the Dominion are the most talkative of people."
"One thing's for sure in this war though, is that we need allies." stated Trent. "If we could get them all back on our side, we could send a strike force to Ivor to destroy the anomaly and end the war."
"But what if we could take this further?" proposed Captain Pike. "What if we attempt to make a treaty which binds together all the major powers of this war, and convert them all into our allies?"
"I appreciate your suggestions Captains Trent and Pike, but that is not what we will do unless the room agrees to." calmed Ross. "I suggest we put this to a vote. All in favour of beginning negotiations, raise their hands."
Over half the room, including the two Picards, Captains Shon, Pike and Archer and Admirals Quinn, Nogura and Ross.
"All in favour of cutting ourselves off from the Empire, raise their hands now."
The rest of the room, being composed of Captains Trent, Garrett, Harriman, the two Kirks and Admiral Forrest, raised their hands.
"Then it's settled. We will prepare for negotiations to end this war. The rest of you await orders until Starfleet Command sends out a full message to the Empire regarding peace negotiations."
"This is insane Admiral!" exclaimed Trent. "Surely-"
"That will be all Captain Trent. Starfleet Command out."
The Admirals' holographic forms faded out of existence, leaving the Captains all alone at the table. With the meeting concluded, the room cleared out, with Captains chatting each other up as they walked out.
"It's alright Captain." complemented Alternate Kirk. "If I were you I'd feel the same."
"Thanks." thanked Trent. "Well, it's not like we have much of a choice now. We're making peace with the Empire now. Even if they stab us in the back later."
With a satisfying metal crunch, the last Borg drone in the Galaxy had it's neck snapped at the behest of Emperor Palpatine. Behind him, an unmasked Kylo Ren wretched his unstable red lightsaber out of what used to be the Borg Queen. Their bodies both fell to the floor at the same time, signifying the end of the Borg's invasion of Imperial space.
"Come, my Emperor." gestured Kylo as he pointed towards the exit. "Let us leave this place. We can destroy this cube once we're off it."
"I agree, my young apprentice." replied Palpatine. "We shall leave now."
The two figures began to walk through the lengthy corridors towards Kylo's docked troop transport.
"You have done well, my apprentice." remarked Palpatine. "Once we have destroyed this final cube, we shall leave this place, and continue the war against the Federation. With your forces behind our invasion, there shall be nothing to stop us."
"Agreed." was Kylo's reply.
"It comes to my attention that I have not brought you officially under me as my new apprentice." stated Palpatine as he walked in front of Kylo. "Kneel."
Kylo knelt at Palpatine's feet, his head looking down at the ground.
"From now on, you shall be known as Darth...Geshol. Rise."
Darth Geshol rose up and faced Palpatine. Palpatine smiled as his new plan all fell into place…
...until he felt a lightsaber pierce his gut. Looking down, he saw that Darth Geshol had activated his lightsaber, which was now skewing him through his stomach.
"My name is Kylo Ren." Kylo began. "The first of the Knights of Ren. You, old man, are a relic of a bygone era. An era I shall now craft in my shape."
His blade deactivated as Palpatine's shocked face lost all life within it. His body fell to the floor in a satisfying heap at Kylo's feet. With that job done, Kylo walked away into the distance, leaving Palpatine's body on the floor amongst the sea of dead Borg.
"My Lord?" confusedly asked one of the Stormtroopers guarding the door as Kylo Ren returned alone. "What happened?"
"The Emperor is dead." answered Kylo. "Long live the Supreme Leader."
