1. Chapter 0 : Prologue

A/N: Hi to whoever may be reading this! I'm a brand new author and I want to make really good stories people like. This is my first story and it's obviously dedicated to my OTP Nalu! It's also multi-pairing because we love some shipping goodness! So, enjoy the first chapter of: "The Dragon Council".

Prologue

Natsu's POV

I rapidly get out of the guild, Happy isn't behind me like usual, he decided to stay with Carla instead. I head to the deep forest of Fiore, running so no one can spot me or see me. I better get there early because last time the guys freaked out on me when I was late.

'Where were you?!'

'Did someone see you?'

'Are you ok Natsu?'

I keep walking until I finally reach my destination. I put the palm of my hand in the sensor and ignite it on fire. A seal is shown and I could enter the secret hangout we've had for almost a year now.

I make my way down the stairs to find everyone already seated. "Thank you for assisting in such a short notice everyone, there's an important matter at hand we need to attend."

"Cut the crap salamander." I heard Gajeel growl annoyed. I probably interrupted his time with Levy. I laugh at the thought and sit.

"Ok, what I've been meaning to tell you," I say getting serious for once. "The time is getting near. We are going to war, and we've got to tell them sooner or later." Everyone's faces went limp and Wendy gasped.

"But, but- How?! Wasn't the trial supposed to be 3 years from now? How do you know it's coming right now?!"

"Yes Wendy, the elders thought it would be in 3 years, but I know- no, I feel it coming. Our instincts are stronger, our strengths have doubled in these past 2 years, and even the forming of our council is proof the trial will happen sooner or later. The problem; we don't know when exactly." I said with a stern and serious voice losing the smile I always wear.

"Not only will we have to save our realm, but build a nest in EarthLand. I know it'll be hard and I know there will be hardships. But we can't lose to uncertainties, and as your leader and ruler I will not let anything happen to you or our family. I know I'm childish, naive, damn even stupid! I can't even stop picking fights with Gray for God's sake! But I will change, I will do this not only for you and all dragon kind, but for her too."
