A/N: To think this is my first favorite pairing in Hetalia, and haven't really tried to read or write a story about them, so this is it! Enjoy!

I once knew a boy...
Ludwig, a fine young man. An aloof yet kind little brother.
...who fell in love with a girl...
Felicia Vargas. His classmate who he fell in love for the first time he saw her. She's exactly the definition of opposite for him. He's out of her league. So for his better judgement, he never tried to approach her. For he know, he'll just intimidate her.
...who smile at the thought of her name...
"This is a Felicia daisy. It is located in Italy, they always blossomed during..." Tuning out what the teacher is explaining as he concentrated at the word 'felicia' gazing quietly at the girl with the same name of the flower.
"... And receiving Felicia daisies, for those curious. It means the giver meant to say that you're a pure and kindhearted person..." He smiled as how her name represent herself.
'Pure and kindhearted...'
Looking down to now concentrate on his notes, with a small smile.
Sadly, if he just lingered a bit more, if might saw how she looked back at him with a blushing face.
I once knew a girl...
"Felicia, come on!" Shouted Felicia's older brother, Romano.
"Coming! Just wait a sec!" She replied as she slipped in her outdoor shoes. Trying to put it on fast and because of it, resulted to her getting off balance.
Waiting for her fall she closed her eyes, but instead of falling on the hard floor she instead fall to something hard yet soft place. Opening her eyes, she saw him.
"Are you alright?" Ludwig asked as he quickly upright her, thinking she might hear his heartbeat. He was thankful about how his voice didn't crack, he's nervous. The love of his life is in his arms, in his reach and yet so far.
Composing herself, she nodded and pat her uniform off with imaginary dust, to relaxed herself.
"Ummm... Yeah, thanks!" She smile, her smile that always reach her eyes and make her eyes closed.
"Well, be careful next time." He said scratching the back of his head.
"Thank you, Ludwig." She said, butterflies flying in her stomach as she uttered his name.
He was about to reply when suddenly Felicia's older brother's voice shouted irritatedly for her to get out now.
"Oh! Sorry, I need to go! See you tomorrow!" She waved and ran out to her brother.
'Oh my, I actually take to him. And I said that I'll meet him again!' She giggled as she waved to her older brother.
'She talked- No, we talked to each other. That was a first, although it was short at least we talked.' He smiled as he started to put on his shoes, looking forward for tomorrow.
... Who fell in love with a boy...
"He's a good guy, he might look scary but... He's still a good guy, remember how he had helped that freshmen with all the cardboards and stuffs last cultural festival?" She sighed heavily as she daydream herself as the freshmen, as her friends just smiled at how lovestruck their friend is.
... Who felt the very same...
"Grandpa came home..." Her brother said boringly as he started the engine to his car.
"Well, that's cool fratello~" she said distractedly. Still thinking of that day Ludwig and her talked.
"What're you thinking?" He said smiling a bit at how she called him 'fratello'.
"Nothing much. Hey, let's have pizza today!" She suggested.
"Why? To welcome the old fart? No need." He said annoyed.
"Fratello! Language please! Well, actually I just want to have another movie date with you, is that OK?" She asked.
Rolling his eyes, as she smiled at him. Knowing he'd eventually agree.
"Yea, yea whatever." Smiling genuinely. His sister's the only one who gives him love and it made him happy to know that she'll be always with him. And he don't know how will he survived of she left.
... But it became a struggle...
They started talking to each other, Ludwig only smiles when he's with Felicia. And Felicia always brightens his days.
They became friends, Felicia always needed Ludwig's help. Either its about schoolwork or other stuffs. They became inseparable.
And everyone was happy. Felicia and Ludwig deeply fell in love with each other. Both of their friends tried ways for them to confess both of their love to each other. Yes, everyone's happy, except for one.
Romano was mad. His sister, he saw it. She's already drifting apart from him, he's going to be left behind. And he'd be damned if he's going to let it happen. He doesn't want to be alone.
... And timing was wrong...
Felicia barged in to her older brother's room angrily, today at school she saw a black eyed Ludwig. And to her horror, Romano was the culprit. Wanting to know the reason, she confronted her brother.
"What did you do? What did he do to you?!" She said angrily.
"Who?! That German bastard?! You don't need him! You only need me! Don't go near him anymore, he's not-" she slapped him.
"No! You're selfish brother! I decide for who I associated with, not you. This is my life, not yours! I hate you! I hate you for trying to control me! I hate you so-" she stopped as her brother hug her and broke down.
"NO! PLEASE...D-don't h-hate me, don't l-leave me..." He cried out. She was shocked to see her brother in this state.
"P-please don't leave me like Mama and Papa, You're the only one I had." He cried slipping on the floor.
She never thought that her brother had this burden. Tears also fall down her eyes as she hug her brother.
"Sorry, fratello..." Romano cried himself to sleep hugging and whispering her name, not to leave him alone.
She didn't know how fragile her brother was, but because she loves him dearly and it'll broke her heart if ever she saw him cried again like that.
She decided, that for now her brother's what she needs to prioritize first.
"I won't leave you fratello, until you can go on without me, I'll stay by your side no matter how long it is. If its you, there's no problem. I love you, fratello..." She smiled as the creased on her brother's forehead smoothened.
...and love decided they didn't belong...
"We're leaving back to Italy..." Felicia told Ludwig.
"When are you coming back?" He asked.
"I still don't know, I hope soon though." She smiled sadly at him. Seeing how crestfallen he looked she decided that it was best to let it out.
"I love you, Ludwig. Since the first ceremony. The first time I saw you walking in with the other students." She confessed reminiscing that day.
"I love you too, Felicia..." He said trying to maintain he's posture, but failing as small drops of tears came falling down his eyes.
"But I love my brother too, he needs me and I don't want him to suffer." She said.
"I understand." He said.
"Buy. If we truly are meant to be, we will see each other no matter what..." She said holding both his hands, caressing it.
"We should focus on our families and studies for now..." She gave him a sincere smile which he also returned.
"I'm going to miss you." She said as they hugged each other.
"Same here." He replied. Tightening the hug they first shared, hopefully not the last.
With the sound of a beep from a car, they broke their hug.
"Well, bye then. See ya soon!" Felicia waved as she ran towards her brother's car. As he waved back and stared at the fading car.
"See you too, soon."

A/N: and there we had it another story that is stuck since forever on my notebook. I hope you enjoy the story, and yes I'm sorry if I made Italy a girl here, it's because I need it to be a boy x girl story. So I hope you really enjoy this, I cried while writing this.
