The next morning, Sonic wakes up and walks out of his room, and gets greeted by the leader of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts and the cat mascot standing right by a wall.
Sonic: What's up?
Joker: We heard about what you're going to do. And honestly, it's just as idiotic as it sounds.
Sonic: Judge me all you want. I don't care. Besides, I don't go down so easily, even if it's a giant monster or an evil god.
Mona: And what will happen if you die?!
Sonic: Then I'll make sure everyone here lives. Look, all I want is for you guys to trust me. I've actually fought alone plenty of times against enemies like these. I just gotta do what I gotta do. So just trust me on this.
Mona: Hmm... What do you think, Joker?
He has another look at the blue hedgehog and sighs.
Joker: Okay. Just finish this for all of us and make it back alive.
Sonic: Got it.
Later on at noon, everybody takes off. Sonic and Tails take the Tornado, while the IS academy students fly with their personal units, Fox, Falco, and Samus in their ships, and everyone else on the Halberd.
Sonic: So is Yui doing okay now?
Tails: Yeah. You were right about her being worried for Kirito and Asuna.
Kirito: She's back at my Mom's place, so she's safe now. I just can't believe she had to get mixed up in this.
Sonic: I'll admit, I feel the same way you do, Kirito. I also wanted to beat Sugou up. But I'm glad you charged in after we all heard the story. Sugou already made it personal more than enough times.
Fox McCloud: We've had our fair share of personal grudges ourselves.
Ichika: Us too. Especially with Phantom Task still out there.
Skull: You're a good dad, Kirito. Keep at it.
Kirito: Easy for you to say.
Violet: Kirito's really trying his hardest to protect those he loves.
Fox (Phantom Thief): Indeed. And there are those among us that wish to do the same. Especially Sonic.
Goofy: Ya know, Kirito. I have a kid too.
Kirito: You do?
Goofy: Yup. His name's Max. He's all grown up and he's in college. Say, since Maxie's around your age, I'm sure you and him would make great friends.
Donald: And I have three nephews. Huey, Dewey, and Louie. They're all good boys and I'm proud of them for their work. But they drive me crazy a lot.
Asuna: Hehe! It's nice to meet a fellow parent.
Goofy: A-hyuck! Sure is.
Cinder: I feel the same way, truly.
Fanatio: Same here.
Mona: Hey Joker. Do you think now might be a good time to reveal our real names? The investigation team and S.E.E.S. already know us, so maybe we should introduce ourselves to Sonic.
Panther: Yeah. Now that we've been here long enough, we're really starting to get close to everyone here.
Queen: I agree. I trust him, and everyone else.
Sophie: What do you think? Should we?
Joker: Sonic?
Sonic: You wanna tell us, then go ahead. Your secret's safe with us.
Joker: Thank you.
The Phantom Thieves of Hearts begin to introduce their real names.
Joker: My name is Ren Amamiya.
Mona: I'm Morgana.
Panther: Ann Takameki.
Skull: Ryuuji Sakamato.
Fox (Phantom Thief): Yusuke Kitagawa.
Oracle: Futaba Sakura.
Noir: Umm... My name is Haru Okumura.
Queen: I'm Makoto Nijima.
Violet: I'm Sumire Yoshizawa.
Sophie: And I'm Sophia. Humanities companion.
Sonic: Nice to re-meet you guys. When this is all over, everyone present here is invited to my party.
Skull: Really?!
Sora: No way! You got a party planned everyone here?
Cardinal: Indeed he has. We have talked about this and I've made arrangements for everyone at South Island.
Roxas: Heh! Can't wait for that!
Ruby: I'll be sure to help make some sweets for everyone!
Asuna: I'll help out as well.
Miyuki: So will I.
Cinder: Then I guess I will help you as well. I do owe you guys for helping my little Cindy.
Emerald: But we didn't even do anything. I think Sonic should be taking all the credit since you and him took her somewhere safe.
Cinder: It's not just him. It's all of you. Because everyone here is helping me fight for her. We're all fighting to give Cindy, Yui-Chan, and all our children a second chance. Also, there's still so much I have to make up for.
Sonic: Well it's the least we could do.
Mario: Well, we're-a gonna make sure you all go back to your kids with smiles on their faces.
Fanatio: That truly means a lot to us. Thank you.
Cinder: Thank you so much. All of you.
Mighty: Hey, it's nothing really.
Meta Knight: We are coming up on Little Planet right now. We will reach Quartz Quadrant in about 5 minutes.
Everyone gets a view of a lake with Little Planet above chained to a big pointy rock.
Oracle: This is just like from Sonic CD. So that's Little Planet?
Aerith: Wow! The lake looks so pretty!
Yuffie: Yeah! I know! We should go swimming sometime!
Lina: That would be great!
Tatsuya: We don't have time right now.
Panther: Oh yeah... We still have to finish this fight.
Chifuyu: Is everyone ready?
Everyone: Yes!
Chifuyu: Alright! Let's go!
At Quartz Quadrant, Robotnik and the other villains prepare to break Tabuu out of Subspace.
Administrator: Is it ready yet?
Dr. Robotnik: Yes. We will be reaching full charge in exactly one minute. Once that happens, the portal will open and Tabuu will come out.
Bowser: Oh, I've been waiting for this moment.
Dr. Robotnik: Haven't we all...
Dr. Cortex: Mwahahahaha! With this power, that infernal bandicoot, hedgehog, or all their friends will not stand a chance!
Heavy Gunner: Umm... Dr. Robotnik?
Dr. Robotnik: I'm busy right now!
Heavy Gunner: This is really important.
Dr. Robotnik: Ugh... Fine! What is it?
Heavy Gunner: Look!
He and the other villains look to see the Halberd approaching, plus a couple of IS units, starships, and the Tornado.
Dr. Robotnik: Grr!
He runs to his computer and presses the comm button.
Dr. Robotnik: Send in all forces! Do not let them come near the portal site, no matter what!
An entire army of Robotnik's badniks storm on out towards the Halberd. As the airship lands, all of the heroes step down on the ground.
Tails: Get down there, Sonic!
Sonic: Roger that, buddy!
The blue hero jumps off of the plane and lands down on the ground in front of everybody, as the final battle is about to begin. Some of his friends stand right next to him in their fighting stances.
Joker: No going back now.
Miyuki: This is where we make our last stand!
Kirito: It's time to finish this once and for all!
Mario: Yes! Let's-a-go!
Sonic: Eggman... Administrator... Tabuu... I'm coming for you!
