A dark secret…

That's what it was.

Something that she could never share with even her closest friends, not that she had many, and the one she had with her that knew, she just lost. Her team would certainly look down on her. She often thought to herself, 'Are there others like me? Am I alone in this universe? Why me?'

It happened long ago, during the early stages of the war…

(Flashback)

"We should send a scouting party to search for any remaining energon deposits in that area for we have picked up on increased decepticon activity in that area." Stated a tall red bot with a metallic beard. "It will be done Sentinel" Exclaimed Prowl, the then leader of the search teams during the war for cybertron.

Arcee for her part was simply unwinding, after a series of long, drawn-out and fruitless missions looking for energon, with her sisters; Chromia and Ariel, A.K.A. Elita-1. After stepping into the femme barracks to retrieve something from her rack, she bumped into a face that she hadn't seen in a long time.

"Master Prowl, forgive me," she requested solemnly. Prowl was her martial arts tutor and the closest thing that she and her sisters had to a sire, although he was a hard task-master.

"That's quite alright Arcee, it was my fault I shouldn't have sneaked up on you like that." He apologised getting the young femme to calm down, "I come with a mission for the angels of death." He chuckled at the nick-name that the three sisters had gained over the years.

"You know I don't like that name Prowl" She said angrily, although it did have some truth behind it. You see there was nothing much short of a neutron bomb that could stop the three sisters from achieving their goal.

"Yes well it seems to sit well with the troops as a morale booster of sorts."

"They can think whatever they like but I still don't condone it." Scoffed Arcee. "You were saying you had a task for us?"

"Ah yes," Prowl handed her a data pad, "You three are to go to these co-ordinates to investigate some recent decepticon activity, once there you should be on the look-out for any un-tapped energon deposits. If you find any, radio in to base and we will send in reinforcements."

"Consider it done Master, see you soon."

That was the last time she saw Prowl and the last time she would feel normal, for what she didn't know was that there was more going on at those co-ordinates than first thought.

(Time skip)

The sisters were doing well, they hadn't been noticed and they were deep behind decepticon lines. They moved quickly and quietly towards the position at the bottom of a deep crater. Once they crested the edge of the crater they saw something they were not expecting.

"Is that Shockwave?" Exclaimed Chromia, almost loud enough to give their position away.

"Yes and if he's here then that structure must be one of his labs." Elita clarified.

"We've got to report this to base ASAP." Suggested Arcee. She tried her com-link only to get hit by a wave of static. "Coms are dead, we have to deal with this ourselves."

"Great" said Elita and Chromia in unison. They pre-pared to go over the top of the crater only to hear something behind them. As soon as they noticed they realised they were surrounded and any sudden movements would mean certain offlining.

"Don't move Autobot scum. I'm sure shockwave would like to know what you're doing here." Stated a purple seeker who seemed to be in charge of the rest. The sisters were trapped, no-where to go. Arcee stamped her pede twice off the ground. In their code they knew what this meant, 'you two go, I'll distract them.' And that is what happened, unfortunately for Arcee, she was stunned almost immediately and her last thought was, 'Please be safe sisters, please…'

(End flashback)

The rest of that memory was too painful to think about right now, especially after the loss of cliff. Arcee found herself driving through the center of a small town called Jasper, Nevada. It wasn't particularly busy at any point, this is partly the reason team prime's base was located here.

She was going down the high street, with her holographic rider, Sadie, perched atop her when she noticed two Vehicons tailing her.

"Twins." She stated to no-one in particular. She headed for a small fast food chain car-park, where she had hoped to hide and not cause a scene. Unfortunately, as was often the case for her, she was fresh out of luck. This was because of what happened next. Out of the front door of the restaurant, if you could call it that, stepped a well toned, raven-haired 18 year old teen. This was none other than Jackson Darby. His attention was grabbed by his phone ringing,

"Hey mom… No I just got off… No I'm not going to the dance tonight, you know why…" It was at this moment, he noticed something beautiful and seemingly familiar, " I love you," The words seemed to slip out of his mouth.

"Y-yes mom I love you too, gotta go, by!" He walked up to the Dark Blue Yamaha R1, yet he could tell something was off with it, he could've sworn he heard a heartbeat, or at least something similar to one. "Who are you?" The words slipped out of his mouth as he ran his hands over the plush leather seat. He decided to test a theory, he got on the bike only to find that the keys were still in the ignition.

Now Jack was capable of a great many things, most of which will be explained later, however, talking to attractive girls was not one of them. Thankfully before he could be noticed by the approaching Sierra, the bike seemed to come to life underneath him as the two vehicons followed.

"Hold on!" Arcee exclaimed.

"I knew it! You are alive!" Jack shouted whilst holding on for dear life.

"How did you know?"

"I'm not, for lack of a better word, totally human. The names Jack. Who are you?"

"Arcee, you seem way too calm for someone in this situation." As if to emphasise the point, the vehicons started shooting at them.

"I've seen my fair share of crazy Arcee. Beautiful name by the way." If she could blush in vehicle mode, her cheeks would be bright blue.

"Thanks I guess…" 'What the scrap is happening to me…' She felt strangely at ease with this human atop her. He felt, familiar… as if he was like her… but surely that wasn't possible. Was it?

This was the start of a beautiful friendship and possibly more. They had finally found someone like each other. That thing being…
