chapter 1. detective in another world
L's pov(point of view)
so, kira killed me, light was kira, nobody listened to me but I'm 100% sure that kira will be caught by the remaining members, so therefore i can rest in peace...or piece?
suddenly a bright light filled my vision.
'wait, didn't i just died? did i survived? no, that can't be possible, even without being near kira, no one who he striked survived. Now with him beside me, how'll i survived? ' i thought
i slowly opened eye lids as i was greeted by a bright street filled with people with animal faces and ears?...
a confused look traveled to my face as i looked up and down to my myself, i was wearing my daily same clothes and pant with my iconic messed up hair.
"huh, what's going on? is it a festival or am i dreaming? " i muttered under my breath as i pinched my cheek, i felt pain, this means I'm not dreaming.
My eyes were full of confusion now, if i wasn't dreaming then what is this place?
"this world.. from what i have heard from children books, these must be demi human or what they are called, i had some backup things in pockets, let's check it" i muttered as i searched my pockets and took out few things.
Few yens(coins).
A lighter.
A nokia phone.
A toothpick
Few candies.
"now for my right pocket" i muttered as i putted back the things in my left pocket.
Two Paracetamol for quick fever
3 painkiller to low down the pain
a small adrenaline injection to ease breath
a small dagger for safety
"i have good stuff to live in world a while" i said to myself with a smile visible on my face.
i put the stuff back in my pocket as i took out a candy and ate it.
i walked around the area inspecting buildings while having a lolipop in my mouth.
i went to a nearby apple seller's stand to gather information and end the conversation whenever i like.
"hello mister" i said to the bald apple seller guy as he looks up.
"tsk tsk, that's a poor looking face young man, being homeless must've been tough" he said frowning at my look as i am really skinny, have dark circles and a messy hair.
i let out a small chuckle at it.
"actually no, I'm not homeless but I'm sure a foreigner here" i said to him as he got a Surprised and apologetic look.
"oh, then I'm really sorry for judging you young man, what would you like to buy? " he said pointing towards his selling fruits.
"its alright, I'm a foreigner and I've no idea how i ended up here, i would like to ask some questions, and also do you accept foreign currency? " i asked building an impression.
"sure, ask anything you want young man, but I'll say, my appas are the best in the county,i can give you a sample" he said pointing towards towards the appa
'so, in this world apple is called appa' I thought processing information.
"and about the currency thingy, the nearest loot, trade or steal whatever you can say, it's house owned by a giant named old man rom. i am pretty sure you can get good amount of silver or gold by exchanging your currency" the bald guy explained.
"which county is this ? "
"this country name is Lugnica and this is the capital city of Lugnica.
"i see, I'll check it now, what's your name? mr. nice guy" i asked him, he got a grin.
"kadomon! you can call me best appa seller kado" he introduced himself.
"i see, I'll keep that in my mind, I'm ryuzaki " I introduced myself.
"nice name young man, you can find the rom in the slums, you need to take that shady alley to * and then * *" he gave directions on where could i find rom.
"i see, I'll go visit it right now. once I'm done I'll come here to buy appas" i says to him giving a small smile.
"also, beware of thugs there , if any showed up, call the guards"kadomon said as i nodded and went to the alley.
i reached the alley as i started walking inside it in the shade but i was interrupted by some thugs.
" Give everything you hav-" The big looking guy said threating.
"stop it, ton. he's homeless, we can't get anything from him" The short dwarf looking dude says in a depressed tone.
"but you sure are gonna get a beating" The tall and skinny one said cracking his knuckles.
i let out a chuckle.
"sorry but all i have in my body is bones, you aren't even gonna get satisfaction from beating me" i said using my skinny look as an excuse to have them leave me.
"outta of the way skinny dude! " a voice shouted from behind me as a yellow haired girl with torn pants and a cloths warped Around her chest and a jacket, she looked like a loli but the thing that caught my interest is her sleep , it was inhuman.
"okay mrs.loli" i said as i moved beside as she ran.
"urgghh, you annoy me so much, let's beat him bois" the tall one says as the fat dude took out a knife from his back.
" cough cough Guards!! " i yelled from all my might as the thugs got startled by this.
"Whoaaa w-what the hell you're doing?! " the short one shouted in fear.
"n-no one gonna coming to save you! " The big one shouted trying to not appear nervous.
"Stop right there! " another girly voice came as a silver haired girl came running.
"You should stop bullying a young homeless person just because he's weak" she said with determination in her eye as icicle suddenly formed in the air.
'so i was 100% right about this being a fantasy world' i thought smirking inside.
"stop trying to threaten us! we are three and you're only two! " the short one yelled.
"really? then that makes us three" a cat looking flying creature said appearing out
"count me in too" a feminine voice came as a red haired girl with a white attire and black clothe inside , her blue eyes filled with determination and sadness..?

"w-what, she's a spirit arts user! "
"and that's the master swordsmen rein van astrea! "
"we got no chance, let's run"
they yelled as they ran off.
"i deeply thank you both from my heart for saving me" i said to them.
"also I'm a currently homeless for a time being due to the fact i am a foreigner" i added, the silver haired girl's eye widened as an apologetic look flashed into her eyes.
"a-ah, i am really sorry for that! " she said with an apologetic look.
"it's alright, i am ryuzaki, what's your name? "
"i am emilia.. nice to meet you"
"I'm..rein van astrea " rein said looking abit unease as if unsettled by something.
