Good hello everyone! How about a new story! With an OC! I hope you guys enjoy this as much as I do. I have some big idea for this story.
Reviews of any kind are always welcomed. So please let me know what you think.
I only own my OC.
It had been seven years since the fall of Shinra Electric Power Company. The President. Some of the lead heads, have all been long dead in their quest to drain the planet of its life force. Mako. As well as fund unbelievable acts of genetic research.
Elena Shinra, has since ridden herself of her last name, taking a new one Frey. She was well hidden most of her life. Only a select few truly know who she is, and like her, want to forget the past. She never approved of the family business. But she never shied away from the lifestyle it gave.
Once Avalanche started to take down the reactors, and her father retaliated with horrendous acts of violence. And her brother no different once he took the seat as President. Decided it was time to leave. She packed light and made her way down to the slums.
It wasn't easy. Elena had to learn to live on little to nothing. Maybe even go a couple days without meals. Being a relatively attractive female, living alone also had its challenges. The slums residents were mostly kind people trying to find their way in life. But sometimes you'd come across some questionable individuals.
Seven years had helped her become a better person. She was no longer the spoiled heiress of a wealthy business man. She was Elena Frey, a civilian living in Edge. Currently living in a studio apartment which was the size of her whole bathroom back in Midgar.
Elena found work a couple years ago as a bartender at Seventh Heaven. Tifa offered her the job immediately once the neighborhoods around Edge and the economy peaked, bringing steady business.
Though she knows about their involvement with Avalanche. And everything they have gone through. Elena still didn't feel comfortable letting them truly know who she is.
~beep beep beep beep~
Groaning Elena turned over slamming her hand on the small alarm clock on the night stand. Cracking one eye open the red numbering blinding her in the darkness of her room showed 7:00pm. Throwing an arm over her eyes she silently hoped for an easy night. Maybe it would rain. And not a lot of people would come.
Tifa started to take the morning and afternoon shifts so that she could be done for the kids, Denzel and Marlene. They were getting older and needed a strict lifestyle for school and home life. That is another reason why she hired Elena, she gladly took on the crazy nights which always offered a higher amount in tips.
Grumbling profanities she kicked off the heavy down sheet jumping out of bed and heading towards the shower and turning it on. Quickly shedding her clothes she glanced at herself in the full length mirror.
Though her brother, Rufus was much older than her, they were practically identical. Her long blonde hair reached mid-back, her ice blue eyes piercing. Her face was pointed much like his. She was much shorter than him, but her body was slim, healthy. And after years of labor and living mostly outside her skin had a nice tint unlike the pale glow of her brother.
"Its gonna be a long night." She grumbled pulling her hair up high atop of her head as she entered the shower sighing as the warm water woke up her tired muscles.
"No. Tifa its fine. Seriously." Elena chuckled waving off the nervous babble her friend kept spewing.
"But its suppose to be so busy. The midsummer festival starts tonight!" Tifa squeaked as she placed a box of extra liquor atop the bar. "I should of planned for both of us to be on shift. But Denzel has that event tonight with school-"
"Again. Its fine. I can handle a large group of drunks." Elena promised as she ripped open the box and started placing unopened bottles into the wells, and cabinets. "You have your hands full with getting Marlene to a sitter, and then everything with Denzel." She continued checking off her short to do list before opening for the night. "Besides Cloud will be back tonight right. If it gets bad he will be here." She shrugged ignoring the excited fluttering she always gets when talking about the ex-merc. Sliding the bar mats into their designated spots she looked back to her flustered best friend. "Go. Have fun. Cheer on Denzel for me!"
"Yeah. Yeah your totally right. It will be fine. You're the best Elena." Tifa took a long calming deep breath letting it in and out. "One more-"
"No. Go. Leave!" Elena ordered snapping her fingers and pointing towards the exit of the bar. "I'll see you tomorrow." She smiled brightly and gave her a small wave.
"Hey! Shit head! What did I say about tossing your empty glasses!" Elena yelled across the bar as she was shaking another round of shots for one of the larger parties.
"Sorry Elena!" Grumbled the patron sitting back in the stool while his buddies dogged on him for being scolded.
"Here ya go! That will be 120gil!" She called over the bar to the regular who was retrieving his shots.
"Sure thing pretty lady." He drunkenly cheered as he threw down 200gil.
"Oh I'm no lady." Elena winked placing the money in a bucket and drying her hands using the towel she kept tucked into her back pocket and walking to the other side of the bar to retrieve more orders.
Its almost midnight and the crowds are still continuing to come in. Though they typically don't close till 4-5 she was excited about her tips! Yeah she was hoping for an easy night. But bills were coming up and tonight will definitely help her get through with some left over.
Seventh Heaven was also located in the best part of Edge. With the heavy walking traffic to the festival meant she was guaranteed business.
Recently Tifa invested in shirts with the bar logo it gave them a more professional feel, and getting more of a variety of customers into the bar. Elena wasn't forced into a uniform she could actually wear whatever she wanted. But you can't go wrong with some black shorts, a Seventh Heaven crop top, knee high socks and boots.
Frowning Elena took in the bar, they were busy. Definitely would have preferred an extra set of hands, but she was handling it. Besides the bar was completely packed at this point she doubted anyone else would be coming in.
"What can I get you hun?" Elena sang as she cheerfully placed a napkin in front of a new customer.
"How but you surprise me sweet cheeks." The man requested as he leaned over the bar to get closer to her. "And some for my boys." He added jabbing a thumb behind pointing at a number of men.
Refraining from rolling her eyes she quickly turned digging into the ice chest and taking out eight beers. She was use to comments like those. And Elena ninety nine percent of the time gave them beer.
"That will be 45gil." Placing the beers and using her bar key to pop the lids.
"How about I offer you a deal?" He implied as he leaned almost completely over the bar. "I'm sure me and my boys could have you purring like a kitten."
Snorting Elena leaned in until she was almost touching noses with the disgusting man. "No gil. No beer. Sorry but that's the rules." She wasn't scared, she has had plenty of run ins like this. Typically all of them are harmless.
"Mmm. Your feisty. I like that." He cooed reaching a hand to cup her cheek. "How about we just take a trip to the alley-"
"No you disgusting-"
"Hey! Asshole! Pay up. Or get the hell out."
Elena was about to slam a full bottle of beer atop the man's head when Cloud loudly spoke up over the crowd, only a couple feet away.
