I DANCED crazily in my master bedroom ,excitement burst through me,I was finally going to be alone in the house by myself. My parents are going on a weekend vacation and my older brother Blake is going to a football game out of state. My parents and brother almost never let me stay home alone, fearing that something bad might happen. Since I was a girl all alone in a big house. Overprotective was an understatement,it took me to fake like I was sick in order for me to stay home.

Beyonce's new song "Check on it " abruptly stopped causing me to stop in the middle of my dance move. I turned to see my brother standing in the doorway with his arms crossed as he looked at me suspiciously.

"So this is feeling sick ?" He asked, waving his finger around to me.

Damn I thought he left.

Thinking quickly I faked coughing in my hand. "Oh um,yeah it comes and goes."

He gave me a "really?" Looking before walking fully into my room I groaned already knowing what he's going to say.

Blake is that big brother who annoys you but still cares and protective over you. He wanted to know where I was at all times,it's frustrating and annoying I can't even have male friends he says "I know how nineteen year boys old act cynthia, I was once that age too." He talks as if he's fifty years old, when actually he's only twenty one. Sometimes he acts more like my dad than our actual father.

"Nice try Cynthia but I can smell bullshit, you're not staying here by yourself." He said firmly.

I furrowed my eyebrows. "Like hell I can,if you haven't noticed genius I'm nineteen practically an adult."

He chuckled sarcastically. "Yeah, what nineteen year olds fake sickness to their parents just so they can stay at home and watch TV all day?"

I stayed silent,flustered.

"That's what I thought, now pack some clothes we leave in 30 minutes." He jerked his head towards the door.

Confusion spread across my face. "What are you talking about?" I asked wearily.

"Your coming with me and my friends to the football game." He raised an eyebrow. I frowned, there's no way I'm going. I don't even like football.

"Now way! You can't do that." I said following him out the room,he walked downstairs into the foyer where Paige was waiting. I had no problem with her, only our parents did. Claiming that she was no good and gave a bad influence on Blake. They were totally wrong, because from what I've seen Paige is the only girl that Blake has been with who wasn't after his money.

I believe she genuinely cares for Blake.

"Hey Cynthia." She waved before tucking her thumbs in her jean loops. I gave her a polite smile, and went back to Blake who was gathering on what looks like camping supplies.

"Blake I'm not going!" I said stomping my foot, being around sweaty people yelling at boys wrestling over a ball was something I did not want to participate in.

I was more so entertained by trashy reality tv shows, than that.

"You are or do you want me to tell mom and dad about your "sickness"." He air quoted the word sickness mockingly. I huffed out wanting to let out a huge scream.

Turning to page I gave her a pleading look. "Can you please tell your annoying boyfriend I don't need to come?"

She looked at me sheepishly. "Trust me,I dont want to go to this stupid game either,I tried."

Blake snapped his head towards our direction. "This game is not stupid,if anything it's the best game we've gotten all year. Derrick Sanders and Jaden West are two of the best performing quarterbacks-" I walked away upstairs as he rambled on about how important the game is.

I sat in the backseat of Blake's truck, bored out of my mind. The only thing that was entertaining was the music blasting in my ear from my mp3 player. It was to clear out Blake's horrible taste in music and the contestant flirting between him and Paige.

I've never felt like a third wheel in my life till now.

A tap on my knee pulled me out of my thoughts,I took my eyes away from the window and saw Paige saying something to me.

"I'm sorry, what?" I said pulling the ear buds out of my ear.

She chuckled and said. "Are you hungry we're about to stop at the diner up the road."

As if on cue my stomach rumbled and I immediately agreed. "Yeah,I'm starving"

A couple minutes later we pulled into a small diner it had a couple of picnic tables out,and a homeless man in front. It looked decent,I guess I just hope the food is good. I was craving a burger and fries. Stepping out of Blake's truck I noticed Wade's car next to us and the rest got out. Immediately I was met with greetings from Blake's friends. Ever since Blake introduced me to them a year ago we've been close. I was cool with everyone,I love them and they love me.

"Bambi!" Dalton cheesed hugging me tight. Bambi was a nickname he gave me when he first met me,he thought my brown eyes reminded him of the cartoon.

"Dalton!" I said excitedly,my shitty mood turned into a good one. Maybe this trip wouldn't be so bad after all.

"I don't get any love Cyn?" Nick said, pretending to be hurt. I blushed and walked over to him to give him a lighter hug. He was someone I was nervous to see given our history.

I gave Carly a hug as well immediately I noticed the tension between Nick,Wade, and Carly. Everyone knew about the situation dealing with Carly's departure and Nick's troublesome behavior. It hurts to see the people you're close with be mad at each other,to me it was pointless I can never stay mad at the person I love which is why I'm not mugging the hell out of Blake right now. Because deep down inside I just know he wants to keep me safe and probably wanted me to get out of the house since I didn't have many friends.

"Babe, you want anything?" Paige asked as we began to walk towards the diner.

"Nah,I'm just gonna mess with this GPS real quick." He said, focused on the navigation. The rest of the boys took a seat at the picnic table, while me,Carly and Paige walked into the almost empty diner.

It reeked of burnt coffee and fries. I scrunched up my nose attempting to block out the smell.

"Ew,it stinks in here." Carly whispered,I quietly agreed.

"I think I'm gonna be sick." Paige put a hand over her mouth before rushing towards the bathrooms.

"Is she okay?" I asked worriedly. Carly hesitated for a moment before she whispered to me.

"She's pregnant." I felt my eyes widen in shock. I can't say I was suprised though, the amount of sex I hear come from Blake's room I knew at some point she was going to end up pregnant. Blake, however I don't know how he's going to take the news. He was still living the frat boy lifestyle. And to him that lifestyle does not involves a baby.

After me and Carly ordered the food,Paige came out of the bathroom sticking a piece of gum in her mouth. I just stared at her, can't believing she's carrying my first niece or nephew.

I've always wanted someone to spoil.

"Um Cynthia, are you okay?" Paige asked confusingly.

"I told her,if that's okay" Carly said sheepishly, going over to grab a few straws.

Paige sighed and looked at me. " I dont even know if it's legit or not." I knew she thought I was going to run and tell Blake so I assured her,

"Don't worry,I don't have a big mouth like someone I know." I joked pointing my elbow towards Carly who heard me.

"Hey!" She laughed and nudged me playfully. We walked out,and sat down at the table. Nick and Dalton got up to use the restroom,we saw Wade sitting there with an annoyed look on his face.

"What's wrong?" Carly asked, putting a hand on his shoulder.

Wade just dismissed saying he forgot something in his car. We knew it probably had something to do with Dalton and Nick. With every opportunity that they have they'll pick on him about something,it was mainly Nick. Dalton just somehow likes to follow him.

We begin eating our food talking about future plans and such. Paige pulled out a newspaper looking for a place for Carly while I munched on my burger.

Dipping the crispy fry in ketchup ,Paige pointed out," There's this place in Tribeca for three-thousand." I glanced at the paper,it seemed like a good deal. I couldn't wait to make those kinds of decisions on my own,When I move out of my parent's house it's going to cause a big dispute. But I was willing to take that risk.

"Mm,that doesn't seem too bad Carly." I grabbed some of Paige's fries.

"That's too expensive." She exclaimed,"The money I saved up won't even cover two months of rent."

I felt bad, while Blake and I had the luxury of really anything because of our parents' wealth. Meanwhile his friends are struggling to buy an apartment.

"I could ask my parents to help you out Carly." I offered.

She immediately shook her head. "No I'm fine, cyn I don't want to put my problems on anybody else."

Taking a sip of my fruit punch,I let out a sigh. "Well just know that I'm proud of you and what you've accomplished." Paige nodded in agreement.

Carly shrugged her shoulders with a small smile. "It's just an internship."

"Just an internship?!" Paige scoffed, while I raised an eyebrow.

"Who do you know just got an internship for an instyle magazine?" I questioned playfully. They both laughed,we talked some more and I saw wade making his way towards us. He seems to be in a better mood.

Carly smiled as he sat by her, placing a kiss on her cheek making her flustered. I mentally awed at their relationship,it always makes my heart flutter whenever I see a couple being in love with each other. I couldn't wait till I had that myself.

Wade looked at Carly apologetically. " Sorry there are two drunk rednecks wrestling in the bathroom." I snickered and looked in the direction of the bathroom.

"Wow,really?" Carly asked.

"There are no rednecks in New York." Paige commented,I awkwardly coughed into my hand. Wade fidgeted uncomfortably while Carly was glaring at Paige. It was clear that the topic is still sensitive to them,it caused such a rocky path in their relationship.

"Um paige,I think blake is calling you." I hinted at her to leave for causing such awkwardness.

"I think you're right,he seems to like that truck more than me." Paige walked off,I sent Carly and Wade an apologetic smile. Paige can be unfiltered at times I notice. Which is only of the things I love about her,but sometimes it was at the wrong place.

"Get a job." I heard Nick say,I turned around and saw he kicked a homeless man cup down. While Dalton as usual hyped him and filmed with his camera. I sighed and walked over to the man handing in my pocket to pull out a fifty dollar bill.

"That was so not cool, assholes." I turned to glare at them.

"Aww c'mon we're just bugging around. Smile for the camera." Dalton pleaded, turning the camera on my angry face.

My scowl then turns into a smile posing for the camera, causing them to laugh. "There she is!." Dalton hooted.

I laughed pushing him playfully heading back to the table,I felt a gentle grip on my arm pulling me back. I looked to find out it was Nick.

"What Nick?" I asked, seeing him look over at me , his face softening.

"You know "what" Cyn,when are we going to talk about us ?" He questioned tilting his head. I knew this question was coming, somehow I thought he might've forgot all about that night. The night when he took my virginity,it was the best night of my life even though we were drunk as hell. I still could remember the soft and gentle touches he made.

"Really Nick? You wanna do this here?" I questioned. We stood right in front of the homeless guy who was shamelessly letting us know that he was interested in our conversation.

He looked and bucked at the guy causing him to let out a yelp. He turned back to me and sighed. "Okay fine, after the trip then." I agreed and headed towards Blake's car . I found him bumping rap music in the car singing along to it and went to hop in the backseat.

"Are you enjoying yourself so far ?" He asked, turning around in his seat.

I gave him a smile." Yeah it's not as bad as I thought."

House of wax is one of my favorite horror movies,so i decided why not make a fanfic.
