We can't see what's real

We don't know the time

We only want to feel the light

Still Corners, Berlin Lover.

Bowie Masters was born in Edinburgh, Scotland on February 19th, 1980 on a cold snowy night. Her parents Felix and Florence had to flee after an incident that occurred on June 31st, 1981 with a certain dark witch enacting an act of vengeance had put Bowie as well as Felix and Florence in danger. Before they left Edinburgh however Felix and Florence were given instructions from the great wizard Albus Dumbledore to head to Little Whinging, Surrey at the house number 6 Privet Drive. Felix and Florence were confused by this sudden order and asked why.

"What? Why are you asking us to move down there…" Florence asked.

Dumbledore's eyes filled with sadness before answering.

"Little Bowie is not the only child who has been struck by tragedy. Lily and James Potter were killed by the hands of Voldemort himself tonight after Sirius Black gave away the Potter's hiding place."

Florence gasped, her eyes widened and her hand covered her mouth. She slowly sat down on the couch. Felix on the other hand was filled with rage he clenched his fist and his jaw tensed. He dug his toes into the carpet to keep him stuck in his place. He wanted to run out, he wanted to hunt down the man who killed his best friends.

"What happened to Voldemort?" Felix asked, his voice had never sounded so angry to Florence before.

"We're not sure… He tried to cast the killing curse on Harry but it seems to have reflected off of him and it hit Voldemort instead." Dumbledore explained.

Before anyone else could say anything, a wailing could be heard from upstairs. Bowie seemed to have woken up. Florence was frozen in her place still so Felix had run up to get her, he came back down the stairs shushing the bundle in his arms. Quiet whimpers could only be heard.

"What's got my little Bow so upset huh?" Felix said, brushing her blanket away from her eyes.

When he did that however, a faint scar was unearthed on her face. His face was filled with confusion, Felix knew that scar was not there a little over an hour ago. When he went to touch it Bowie began to cry again. It seemed to have been hurting her.

Dumbledore sensing something was wrong, walked over to the pair. His eyes widened, shock overtook his calm face. Florence quickly got up, worried something was wrong with her daughter.

"How could she have gotten that?" Florence asked Felix, Felix just shrugged his shoulders, unable to say anything else."

"Th… that's the same scar Harry has, in the same place too." Dumbledore spoke, breaking the tension filled silence inside the small home.

"But… she wasn't anywhere near Voldemort… and that woman didn't get the chance to cast anything on her." Florence spoke up.

"I'm not sure why she may have gotten this mark… maybe she is connected to him in some way. Lily, James, and you two always had a close bond." Dumbledore guessed.

"Maybe…" Felix mumbled.

Thankfully, Bowie had calmed down and was beginning to drift off to sleep again. Felix decided to keep her with him. Holding her close to his chest.

"So, what is the reason you wanted us to move down to Privet… you never really answered Florence earlier." Felix said, the lack of sleep and sadness was starting to get to him. His tone was sharp and snappy.

"Harry has no other family except for a pair of muggles. They aren't the kindest people in the world… they're quite cruel really. That's why I need you two down there, keep an eye on Harry." Dumbledore replied.

"Couldn't you just send him to live with us? We planned on going down to Alylesbury in the coming weeks." Florence said carefully not wanting to upset the man making the request.

"I would send him to you if I could but, the reason why the spell was deflected was because of love. Lily sacrificed herself to save her son… and now that she is dead he must live with the last remaining member of her bloodline. Which happens to be her sister, he needs to be there to keep the protection alive." Dumbledore stated.

Florence and Felix looked at each other, seemingly asking each other through looks if they should do it. Both of them turned their heads to Dumbledore.

"We'll do it…"

Dumbledore smiled and then nodded toward the both of them.

"Good."

Dumbledore then appareled out of the house, leaving the young couple in silence.

"When are we going to tell her, Felix?"

Felix looked to the side of him, his eyes leaving the dark brown haired baby girl sleeping in against his chest to look at his wife, Florence. He sighed and looked down at the baby again. He had a conflicted look on his face.

"When she's ready my beloved. We must not pain her with this burden so soon." He replied softly.

"She'll need to know eventually… That vile woman cannot get away-"

"She won't Florence, but for now… we must fill this young ones childhood with as much joy as possible, even if most people in our world will constantly remind her of what she lost."

Florence then sighed

"Let's take her to her room now. She must sleep... for tomorrow she will wake up, not knowing the tragedy that has struck her tonight." Felix finished.

Tears filled Florence's bright green eyes, the prospect of having to forgo something similar to the sleeping baby down below her was hurting her immensely. Florence sniffled and took a huge gulp of air before speaking again.

"Good luck little one…" Florence couldn't finish her statement, she left the room Felix sighed.

"Stay safe… Bowie Masters…"
