Old man Goku.. Well he doesn't feel old at all. Especially now that the God power has been purified and is a part of him forever.
A lot of things has happen after the longest and hardest battle of Goku and his friends lives against Xeno.
The Saiyans from a different universe and Namekians took refuge among the stars when their universe got threatened to be destroyed by another galactic tyrant.
Goku met up with them giving them permission to live on Earth, the Saiyans remained in the desert area since it resembled their planet Vegeta the most, some dated Earthlings and Trunks was one of the lucky ones who has set his eyes upon a lovely saiyan lady and they have been together ever since. Vegeta could finally let go of his loss since in a way the Saiyans on Earth will create a new generation.
Goten prefer dating Earthlings only since he already has a naive but faithful beauty named Valese.
For years Goku, Gohan, Trunks and Goten have been a mentor to the new saiyan warriors and occasionally they are called Otou-san instead of sensei because they are very hands on and nurturing.
Goten even came with the idea to start a swords man academy with Trunks and run a successful business while being a CEO of Capsule corp.
And Gohan Made his career in science,
Content that his sons chose what their heart desired and turned that into a success. Goku couldn't be more proud.
Goku stared at the distance and let the God power fade back into his chakra.
Old age didn't affect him as much like humans. Only his appearance , He has some dark grey shades here and there, maybe some light wrinkles if you look closely but besides that he can pass for a civilian in his 50's in excellent shape.
Sure he sleeps in longer after training than back in the day, besides that he pretty much feels like his younger years and at times even better. With his mind still sharp he can enjoy life and not depend on others.
Half Saiyans didn't get that luxury, Gohan and Trunks still look the same in general but they can feel their bodies decay.
Goku felt blessed that even now he can still fight and defend the Earth.
Training with the gods lengthen his life span and his Saiyan DNA preserved his youth because of that.
But when he woke up this morning for training he felt that he doesn't have long to live, maybe a handful of weeks, he was saddened but one day he has to go,
He won't tell the others yet, instead he will spend time with all of them as a timely goodbye, he will be reunited with them in the afterlife.
Goku Made a quick wish to the Gods as he sat down in a meditating position. Wishing for a warrior to take his place when he's gone, he didn't want his great-great grand children to be in danger even though he doesn't have much in common with them.
They come over for training but that desire for battle just isn't in them, there is no spark of a warrior inside and see it as a hobby to stay fit.
"Please don't let this Earth I protected since I was a child perish" Goku mused.
"Let someone worthy take my place" Goku said and looked up at the sky.
The sun shined against his face and hopes with all his heart that the Gods are still on Earth listening.
"Dad?" A voice said and looked over his shoulder.
It was Gohan, wondering what he was doing.
"Are you done training?" Gohan wondered.
"Uh yeah I was trying to talk to the Gods" Goku said.
"But they left years ago" Gohan said,
"I know but it's worth the try, I want a new warrior to take my place" Goku said.
"I'm ready to retire and just let anyone with the heart of a warrior and on the right place take over" Goku said.
"But before that I want to settle my rivalry with Vegeta " Goku said.
Gohan understands his fathers nature.
A saiyan will always be hungry for battle, that fire inside will never go away.
"I understand father" Gohan said.
"Thanks, I'll eat first I'm starving" Goku said happy and Gohan cheered up.
"We have a picnic planned with Trunks" Gohan said,
"Oh I forgot!" Goku slapped his forehead.
"Well after dinner I'll pay Vegeta a visit" Goku said.
"Gohan.." Goku said
"What?" Gohan shrugged.
"Oh nothing..
"I want to stay that I'm proud of having you as my son" Goku said.
"I'm more than proud to have you" Gohan said humbled.
Goku supported his back, Goku held onto Gohan's arm,
Gohan couldn't walk as good anymore, or stand straight without assistance.
but wasn't salty about it, when he taps into his Super saiyan spirit form he no longer needs his walking stick and is freed from any restrictions old age.
Gohan didn't want to be assisted anymore now that they are out of the public eye,
"I'll take it from here" Gohan said.
"But.." Goku said.
"I'll be fine dad" Gohan said and Goku carefully let go.
Gohan leaned against the wall and tapped into his Super saiyan spirit ability.
His upper clothing started to shred as a Snow White aura was formed around his silhouette.
Consumed in white light Gohan's back straightened like he bathed in the fountain of youth,
The aura faded His eyes and hair changed colour, with plumping muscles that made him the agile warrior he once was.
Goku sensed his power and was in awe, the years of training made the transformation more complete.
"Gohan you're even stronger than before" Goku said amazed.
"Well I never stopped training, " Gohan said "I promised the Earth that"
Goku smiled back, a hint of pride was present in his features and maybe his successor is standing in front of him now.
Gohan might live for another half century if he remains in this form forever and never stop training.
"Come" Gohan said and took a flight in the air, Goku followed.
They traveled above the clouds to remain unseen.
Gohan was a bit sad that his home is turned into a tourist attraction. Lots, of forests are gone to build hotels and holiday resorts.
Lots of houses have been build and Mount Paozu didn't feel remote anymore.
"It would be awesome if I can remain in my Super Saiyan spirit form forever" Gohan mentioned,
"It combats the old age magnificently " Gohan smiled slightly as the flied above the clouds.
" it keeps my mind sharp,.. it will also save my wardrobe" Gohan mentioned feeling the cold weather of the sky nipping his skin.
"I was about to mention that" Goku mentioned, "Maybe there is a way"
"Dad I would like to live somewhere else, Mount Paozu just doesn't feel like home anymore, " Gohan said.
"Where do you want to live then?" Goku mentioned.
"Somewhere remote, so that I can remain transformed always, like this I don't feel fatigued"
" or with other words.. ancient " Gohan smiled. Looking at his hands who had a Snow White aura around them.
" I understand" Goku smiled, " I know an area where humans can't go, it's a little cold there but sheltered just like you want" Goku mentioned.
"Where?" Gohan wondered.
"I'll show you after dinner" Goku said.
"No I want to see it now" Gohan mentioned.
"Well its a long flight.." oh wait instant transmission!" Goku said.
"Man I'm just as clueless as ever" Goku said.
"It could have been worse father, at least you are here" Gohan said.
Goku stopped sulking right away,
Below them tropical trees were visible Gohan looked down and it was very remote just the way he's used to.
The humid weather seems a lot less here and a chilly breeze from the nearby ocean was present.
"Dad you want to live with me here?" Gohan asked.
"I'll ask Trunks and Goten to join too," Gohan said,
"Well all have our own Capsule house"
he didn't want to live here by himself all of the sudden, despite having a family of his own years ago Gohan always needed his father around to stay grounded,
"Anything for you" Goku said,
"But I don't think Trunks will join, he's too pampered and Goten is a city person" Goku mentioned.
"Maybe.." Gohan said..
"But as long as you are here by my side I don't mind living alone" Gohan admitted.
"I promised you I will" Goku said.
"I'm here" Goku said touching his heart.
"Whenever you use my power" Goku said.
"You'll always be near" Gohan finished the sentence Gohan smiled but felt sadness stir in his gut. He remembered his father saying that to him when he thought he would die.
"Father.. everything is fine right?" Gohan became wary.
Goku remained silent for a moment, he didn't want to lie since it could be the end stage of his lifespan.
"Gohan.. I might have a few years left "
I'm old.. I might not live very long Saiyans used to live for only 150 years I surpassed that and"
" I'm.. how old am I again?" Goku wondered counting on his fingers.
"Well I'm well over 150 " Goku said a bit saddened.
"Dad, please let's not talk about that," Gohan said.
"I know we all leave this Earth one day but it's a sensitive topic, I outlived my family and it still hurts" Gohan said.
"I'm sorry.."
"You are right, I shouldn't have mentioned this." Goku said.
" After dinner I'll see where I can place a Capsule, and you can bring yours.. or how about we just move in with each other?" Goku offered.
"You mean.." Gohan wondered.
"Yeah like house mates who happen to be father and son" Goku said.
Gohan agreed, gladly accepting the request.. it will be just like the old days just him and his dad training, and wake up before the creek of dawn.
Goku Will always be his father first but he's also Gohan's best friend in the world.
