Zim sighed, he stood up from his workplace and got to the elevator, pink and red lights flickering beside him. As the door opened, he got out of the tube-like elevator to see he was in the living room.
Dib was sleeping peacefully on the couch, a blue blanket over him with Gir sleeping on his chest, snoring. When the alien got closer, he held a laugh when he saw the human's face.
Gir seemed busy when the boy sleeping because now his face was full of colorful stickers. The alien stood on toes and stared at him. His presence seemed enough to trigger the sleeping boy as his amber eyes opened slowly.
"Boo." Zim said with a smirk.
Dib would be lying if he said he wasn't shocked, but he was too tired to react, instead, he smiled. Staring at the blurry face before him. "Ya know..." He began, sitting up slowly so as to not wake the 'sleeping' robot atop him. "This is probably the best night sleep I had in a while..."
"But it's not night, dummy." Zim said, titling his head.
"It doesn't matter..." Dib mumbled. His hand went to touch his face only to stop in confusion. "What?"
Zim laughed. His PAK opened and handed him a mirror. "Now you look like Gir." He said with a smile, staring from the human to the small robot.
The boy was surprised to see the little stickers on his face, he got his glasses on to see the tiny cloud-looking stickers and rainbows.
Well, how adorable... if that's even the word.

It's been a few days since the whole skipping school thing.
And of course, now it's time for his seasons...
Dib sighed tiredly and nervously, he truly didn't want to go there, but in the end, he remembered to act strong. Maybe he was scared deep inside, but for now, he'll make them scared. That's what they both agreed on last time they'd been there.
The boy didn't know what happened to his therapist either, no one came to talk to him about her. Who knows, maybe Zim has something to do with it...
XXX
He was held tightly, dragged down the hallway to that same disgusting room, Dib knew for sure this won't be a fun time...
"Dib Membrane?" Asked the nurse who was walking ahead of them.
Dib growled. "What??" He snapped.
He saw the nurse's shoulders tense up. "You'll be here for a while, Professor Membrane ordered to make more examination on you." She glanced behind her at the boy, earning a hard glare. "Besides, your therapist moved out of the city, and you have a whole week off of school, so for now you'll be stuck here."
Dib could see a faint smile on her face. "Fuck you..." he hissed. The only response he got was a snicker.
XXX
Dib was thrown in his room, he was half-conscious, panting heavily. "You little pieces of... shit..." He crawled back to the far corner, eyes burning with hatred. He fought the tears that wanted to fall. "I hate you all..."
His arms started to itch inside the straight jacket as he buried his face between his legs.
'Why does it always ends up like this? All the damned determination I would ever have crushes so fast...'
That's because you're weak Dib, isn't it obvious?
'I am not! That's not the reason.'
Yes, it is.
'Whatever, you know better.'
Hmm...
Dib stared up at the ceiling, thoughts rushing like waterfalls. He sighed, burying his face back into his knees.
Missing him, eh?
'How can I not? He's literally the ONLY one that seems to care!...'
Your relationship with him is abusive, ya know?
'As if my relationship with you isn't abusive.'
I never said it won't be. I hate you and I know you do too.
The boy shivered at the cold around him, one to fill the air with medicine smell and cleaning liquids. It was enough to make anyone want to throw up, and Dib was trying to hold his insides, he didn't eat breakfast, but even his stomach wanted to empty itself.
His arms were going numb at the tight jacket around them, and that damned chocker didn't help. It was heated up and itchy, they were stupid and careless enough to not think twice about a weird metal thing around his neck. Probably because they don't care and never will.
Dib knew better.
'Is it wrong?...'
What is?
'To kill, I mean...'
You never killed, I did, and it only was once sadly.
'Is it wrong?'
No.
'It is.'
No, it's not!
'How are you so sure?'
I'm always right. End of story.
Dib sighed, great, is he really going to stay here for a damned week with only his thoughts? If that's so then he'll actually go crazy. Maybe even more than he is now.
He'll be sick of white more than he is, he'll be sick of his own self... more than he is...
I hate you.
Illness was being honest, how amazing.
XXX
"I don't want to!"
The nurse glared at him.
Dib was already tied to the bed leg from his ankle. The nurse was trying her best to give him his medicine that he stopped taking in the past few days.
And now that he's about to take them, Illness wasn't happy. So he took control.
If Dib knew something, then he'll say those medicines actually keep Illness out of his mind. And because that sick boy wanted full control of his body, he won't allow it.
"I WON'T!" He yelled, voice almost vivid. Sounding strange.
The nurse called other nurses to hold him still. Two came into the room not long after, they held him by the shoulders and bend him down harshly on the floor.
"You will cooperate!" The male nurse screamed at his face. Glaring at the other nurse as she took the medicine out.
"NEVER!" Illness yelled back. His teeth gritted against each other enough to cut flesh. "LET GO OF ME!" He hissed.
He didn't see it coming until a needle was injected into his neck, it was when everything began to spin. He heard the chocker click, and hiss. Dib had no idea what that meant but it surely wasn't something good.
And he was right.
An electric shock ran through his body, the nurses took a step back, they didn't know what was happening.
"Is he having a seizure?" Asked one, staring at the male nurse.
"Of course not, moron." He snapped, the man held Dib in place. "Just get those damn medicines, I have other patients to be done with."
"Fuck..." Illness whispered, he felt as the shock began to loosen and his body was beginning to weaken. He had no idea what that alien did to him or the chocker he made, but God it hurt!
It didn't take long before he was forced to swallow his pills...
XXX
Third day here...
Well, now Dib looked like some kind of a homeless guy. Not only because of his oily hair, but his state was nonetheless bad.
The past few days were horrible, to say the least. He was forced into more medications than usual. Some to calm him down, some to treat his illness, and some he had no idea what their porpoises are. But he knew they made him depressed and with no energy at all.
But thankfully, after a lot of time, Illness's voice was calm, if anything, Dib didn't hear him talk for two days. He was glad of course, but it felt weird to have his own mind for himself once again.
Dib missed it. This peace he once had, with no other side to argue with his choices or make him feel guilty.
And most of all; not having a damn killer in his head. That was a relief, even if it was for only a week. So to fill the void of silence, Dib began to count. He didn't know how long this will take but he counted. Just a small trick to keep his thoughts steady.
He was alone. Maybe he didn't like Illness but at least he had him to talk to. And most of all...
He missed Zim.
That alien was everything to him now, no matter how their relationship looked abusive and manipulated, he still missed it. Maybe it was the fact he never was cared about before or the fact he finally realized he wasn't crazy.
But still,
He missed Zim.
XXX
Dib looked up as he heard the door begin to open, every click and clack it made was unnervingly familiar.
But as he waited, no one opened the door. It was when he heard a faint sound of a 'THUD' hit the ground, then alarms went off.
Dib panicked, he had no idea what the hell was going on nor did he want to be involved, the consequences will be hard if they suspected anything.
The metallic door opened slowly, sliding heavily to the side, and when Dib thought no one will even inter, he saw a little green 'dog' flipping like acrobatics. His small attempts were funny, to say the least, if not pathetic.
"TADA!" He sheered, panting even though a robot is not supposed to be able to. "HI MARY!" He pressed the red collar on his neck and the disguise disappeared showing the tiny happy robot with stickers all over his body. "It's me!"
"Gir?" Dib asked, confused. Maybe he was thinking too much of Zim and now he's having illusions of his robot. Great.
He prefers Illness than Gir if he was honest.
"W-What are you doing here?..." He asked, looking around.
"Mastah in a mission!" He giggled. "He's havin' fuuuun~" The little robot did a small dance, or at least, that's what Dib thought.
"Uh..." The boy didn't exactly know how to respond, after all, he was under medications and who knows what illusions it makes him go through.
"He said you need to come!" Gir said after a while, smiling like a brainless kid.
"...Where?"
"Up!" The SIR unit exclaimed, pointing towards the ceiling.
Dib followed his finger upwards. "Um..." He looked back at the robot. "Up where...?" He shifted his arms slightly under the uncomfortable straight jacket.
"Aww..." Gir whined, seeming almost annoyed with the human's stupidity. "MASTAH!" He cried like a small kid calling their mother.
And it didn't take more than two minutes before the roof broke in and a spider-looking alien jumped through it. He landed with ease and retracted his PAK legs. His magenta-colored eyes seemed red in the dust.
"Ugh, too whiny." He huffed, hands in his hips. "We meet again, Diblet! How's your stay?" He asked with a smirk, looking at the skinny boy from head to toe.
Dib blinked twice, unsure if that was even real.
"Hello?" The irken waved a hand in front of the boy. "From Zim to earth!" He scratched his cheek, eyes narrowed with confusion. "Did they break him?" He asked, looking at his robot.
Gir just shrugged.
"I-I..." Dib hesitated, he wanted so much to go and hug the damned alien. "I missed you..." He whispered, ashamed of how pathetic that sounded.
Unlucky for him, Zim had a good hearing with those antennae of his. They twitched and made the irken smirk. "Uh, no. He's the same Dib."
"C-Could you free me?..." He pleaded, lips twitching into a frown. Those medications really made him feel heavy and with no energy at all.
Zim frowned his eyebrows. "Oh!" Now he saw them? The whole straight jacket? Well, Dib didn't know but he was happy to finally be free. "Yes, yes." He nodded. "What's the password?~" The irken leaned a bit to be face to face with the human on the floor.
"Uh..." Dib stared up at him. "Please, Master." He spoke with all the confidence he can build in his state. Thankfully the alien looked satisfied.
A PAK leg came out with a laser. "Don't move." With that being said. Zim cut the jacket into half, it was fast, and almost cutting through Dib's flesh. Then it moved to break the cuffs off of his leg. "Glad now?"
Dib looked at his bare hands, they were paler than usual and had some red lines from the tight jacket. He rubbed them together for a bit before doing the same to his leg. "Thank you..." He breathed out, a small smile on his lips.
When he looked up, he saw a greenish pale hand pointed towards him. Zim was now in disguise again, smirking down at him. "Wanna come? I have an amazing game to play together!"
Even though Dib was bare-chested and cold, he couldn't help but agree with eagerness. "Y-Yes."
XXX
Dib stood in the hallways of the alyssum he was in, the walls were stained in red with bodies laying here and there. He had no idea how the hell all of this happened so fast as if a whole explosion was set here, the walls were ruined with blood and the air was full if dust. There were no sight of any nurse around, either killed or hiding. Above all, most of the lights were off, only the red light making a beautiful color above the dead bodies of white dresses and walls. The place smelled like metal, dust, and some odd smell he couldn't pinpoint it.
The boy already killed two with the odd shaped-gun in his hands. He didn't intend to do that if the nurses didn't try to attack first, and to their luck, they were too stupid and did just that. Besides, they already hurt him before, they hurt him and hurt a lot of people before so they deserved it.
"BOO!" A loud scream was heard behind him.
"AH!" Dib took a harsh step back, almost falling on the dirty floor.
"Did I scare you?" Asked Zim, frowning his eyebrows with a smug on his pale lips. His violet eyes shining in the dark.
"K-Kinda..." Dib replied, smiling softly despite the fact he's talking to a killer. Not that he isn't one by now. It didn't matter, not at all.
"Thought so." The irken span around him like a girl playing with her older brother. "How about..." He played with his antenna. "...We play a game!"
"A game?" Dib asked, a bit confused.
"Of course silly!" The irken stood in front of him, jumping on toes. "Gir loves this game!"
"OOOH!" The small robot came out of nowhere at the mention of his name, or maybe because he heard the word 'game'. Dib didn't know... "Let's play! Let's play!" He jumped around like a crazy kid, well, after all, this place was for crazy people.
"Hush now." Zim shushed him, licking his teeth. "How about Hide and Seek? I know you love this one." His skinny hands are on his knees.
"YEAH!" Gir cheered.
"And I'm sure you will love it as well, Diblet..." His claws were on the human's chest just where the black scar is since Dib didn't find his shirt, now he had to stay half-naked. The irken's hand climbed up till it touched Dib's cheek. Zim took a step closer, almost making their lips contact. "We'll see who wins."
The boy swallowed, face red like a tomato. "W-Who's gonna...?"
"I will." Zim replied, stepping away with a smirk. "You and Gir will hide and I'll come to look for you. If I didn't find you within fifteen minutes then you win!"
"YAY!" Gir's blue eyes seem to shine.
"What happens if I lose...?" Dib couldn't help but ask, his smile melted.
"Hmm..." The alien acted thoughtful, titling his head with narrowed eyes. "I'll experiment on you." He finally said, almost satisfied with his own rules.
"A-And if I win?"
"I'll cure your sickness!" Zim cheered up, clapping his hands. "Isn't it a fair trade?"
'You'll end up experimenting on me regardless...'
"Okay..."
"Aw, don't feel sad about it, I'll play easy." He creased the boy's cheeks softly. "I promise."
"COME ON MASTAHHH!" Gir whined, breaking the two of them from that little moment. "LET'S PLAY!"
"Hm." Zim walked a bit further from them. "On the count of ten, I'll go to find you both." A smile on his lips. "Ten".
"Shoot!-" Dib moved as fast as his tired legs could handle, Gir following behind. If the boy was honest then he truly doesn't want Gir to follow him, that robot is way too loud to play hide and seek. But still, he played with Zim before so maybe he knows better than him. For his luck, the robot took a different turn, leaving Dib running to the right alone.
There was the faint sound of Zim counting, the amusement obvious in his voice. "Seven."
Damn it! How did he get to seven this fast?? He really hoped that alien wouldn't play any tricks because this game will cause him maybe his life if he lost. Years of watching horror movies taught him not every main character has to survive. That's a harsh truth no one wants to admit. Besides, who said he was the main character? He was just a stupid victim in a sick game of a sick creator, one that seems to seek blood...
Lucky for him...
Zim's voice is no longer heard as he inter a hallway, being careful with the splashed blood on the corner. He gets into a room that appears to be a big medical closet, the table was turned and the man was dead on the floor. Medications around him either liquids or pills like sea he's drowning in.
Dib hid behind the table near the closet, his lungs were burning from running in the cold asylum. As his amber eyes adjusted to the darkness he was in, he realized there was a clock on the wall.
It was 9:14. And passed on the window then it's nighttime.
Great, just more fifteen minutes and he'll be free, maybe those were short, but for a game like this and with an alien device on his nick, Zim is sure to win, that if he did use his pieces of equipment. But Dib prayed that he'll play it fair...
He really did.
Pale hands of his went to block his heavy breathing, pressing on his mouth tightly. His bare chest was freezing and he was sure he stepped on something sharp because his right foot was slightly cut.
Seconds felt like hours in the quiet room, it was so unnerving knowing only three minutes had passed. He still got a lot of time to wait.
Dib's lips were trembling and his hands are shaking, the dead's man's blood was seeking closer to his feet, he tried his best to stay away from it, hugging his skinny legs closer. The lights were off and so were the ACs which meant he may freeze to death here before anyone can find him, not that he wanted anyone to. Both legs were shifting every second for his adrenaline to calm, his mind was rushing with anxiety-like waves of cold water. It seems to haunt him, drowning him.
Seven minutes had passed and Dib's heart was calming a bit. Alright, almost half of the time had passed, maybe Zim was actually playing, this or he was looking for Gir before him-
The door flew open making the boy's blood drain. He heard someone scream before a 'BANG!' was heard, only two seconds before a dead body hit the ground with a loud THUD. Dib moved as slow as he could, his eyes wide open as he stare at the second body now drowning in their own blood. What a poor nurse, but still, she deserved it.
Dib's head hid fast behind the table when he heard a 'tsk' coming from a familiar tone, he put both hands to block any gasp that wanted to sneak out. Sweat ran down his forehead as footsteps echoed around the doorway.
Oh, no... he can't just lose yet! He can't just...
It was quiet now, the footsteps were walking away giving him space to breathe. Dib took a glance at the door, seeing no one but a dead body on the floor. He sighed, maybe not now, he still had time, two minutes had passed which means he have only six minutes left. he still had time-
"FOUND YA!"
Dib gasped aloud and hit his back to the table, his eyes wide open. "Zim!" He couldn't help but scream his name, legs feeling numb as they tried to kick him away, far away towards the wall. His hands touched the blood on the floor, it was hot yet cold, sending a shiver down his spine. God, oh no. He's going to end up bathing in his own blood tonight, he can't believe that Zim will do such a thing. Well, the alien never said he'll kill him, and that's kind of a relief. But based on what he did to Liam then this 'experiment' is not gonna be lovely.
Will Zim actually hurt him? Kill him...?
"He killed his own kind just because he was bored!" The irken leaders' words echoed in his head. Zim killed his own fellows, how can he be so sure that he won't kill his... slave?...
"Giving up so soon?" His trail of thoughts was cut by the elite. "Who said this game's over?" He asked in mockery, titling his head.
"What?..." Dib swallowed
"I have to touch you dummy!" The alien said aloud, a big smile on his face. "You haven't lost yet!"
Dib wanted to correct him. There was a difference between hiding and seek and TAG, the alien didn't seem to know that. The boy stood slowly on his feet, hands protectively in the air, he took slow steps back, being careful with the medication on the floor.
Zim put both hands on his hips, licking his lips. "I'll give you a kiss if you win~," He said, clicking his tongue.
The human took a fast turn, almost slipping on the dirty floor. He ran out of the door towards who knows where, only five minutes left and he'll be okay, only FIVE. His bare feet freezing as they touch the cold metallic floor, he was panicking, panting, and sweating. He kept turning left and right blindly, just as far away from the crazy alien. The toxic air was tingling the back of his throat in a sick way, urging him to vomit right here, right now.
There were voices in the back of his brain, the medicine was wearing off and Illness seems to want to break in again, his voice was multiple tones at the same time, screaming at him with wordless yells, almost physically painful.
"You're fast!"
"Holy!-" Dib looked behind him to see the irken running with ease behind him, not breaking a sweat! He forced his legs to move faster, desperate to find somewhere to hide, to escape!
Love? Love? Love? L-Love? L-Love-e?
Damn it! Even Illness was trying to go break-in, his words glitching and repeating madly in the boy's head, eating his energy. When Dib looked back, he found no alien behind, there was no trace of him anywhere in the hallway as if he was just some illusion.
"Where did he...?" He whispered under his breath, unsure if he should continue running at all. Alright, only three minutes left, he can make it!
The place became quiet save for the sound of alarms, some hallways had red lights flickering blindly above him. He wondered how the police still hadn't called yet. As he ran down the corridor, he could see opened cells, probably all patients here had been set free, this or maybe had been killed, who knows. After all, he's talking about an alien, he'll surely want some 'fun' with them.
Dib wondered how sick this relationship is, maybe Illness was right, this is more like abuse, so manipulative... his mad empty heart was seeking love in any kind, it really is sad knowing that...
The boy took a deep breath as he felt tears beginning to form, he'll actually take all the pain just for someone to listen, after all, he is already hurt with no one giving two shits about him, so why not being paid back? This is sick, but still, it fill him with something, kept him away from self-harming, and away from suicide thoughts...
One minute left and Dib could barely run, he was trembling halfway as he kept turning random corners, his legs became slower by the second, lungs burning like acid eating him from the inside out. His lips were cracked from the cold and his stomach was empty. It hurt and ache with every foot he took.
"Fuck it..." He mumbled, slowing down, his body leaning close to the walls, threatening him.
"No cursing, human."
"Please..." Dib wanted to punch himself for taking a 'break'. This really was a life-and-death situation!
Dib turned around to see the alien retracting his PAK legs to their place, his eyes narrowed, violet shining in the dark. The red flickering lights hit his bloodied skin perfectly.
The human took a step back.
"Good, good, my little pet." Zim said cheerfully, clapping his claws. "That was impressive!"
"No... don't hurt me...!" Dib could only gasp, his cracked glasses askew on his face. "I only have one minute left...!"
"Oh, I know that, dummy!" The alien's hands went behind his back, boots clacking on the floor as he took a step forward. "And I'd never hurt you, not without a reason, really!" His smile was as dark as Dib's hair... But the way he said sounded... odd...
"B-But!..." Dib froze in place when he saw the over lunch into him. He tried to dodge, keeping himself as far away from the crazed alien. "I didn't do anything..." He whispered, unsure if that's the right thing to say, after all, Zim was moody and any wrong word may change everything.
"I know you didn't." He got an answer anyway, but calmer than he thought. "But I'm just having fun, you know? You should too!" He swept right, getting closer and faster to his target.
"..." Dib only dodged, he could feel his heart beating against his skinny chest almost painfully.
"I like to see you try," Zim commented, a soft blush on his pale cheeks. "I like to see your strength, your power."
Dib was a bit stunned, he was trying to avoid both Zim's failed attempts to catch him and the sugary words. But for some reason, this almost made him freeze in place.
"I love to see what they've lost..." The alien said in a soft tone, almost thoughtful, almost lovable...
With these words, Dib came to a stop.
What are you-?
At the last second, he could hear Illness's voice, it was so far away, fading and weak... he sounded surprised by Dib's sudden stop. It was stupid, he only have a few minutes left before all this could be over.
Zim took the chance-
He lunched towards the boy and pushed him to the bloodied, cold floor, pinning him there. He got on top of him, making himself comfortable as he pressed both claws at the human's shoulders, making him unable to move.
"I love seeing you..." He admits, eyes blank.
"Z-Zim?..." Dib could only whisper his name, terrified by the odd look he was receiving. He could swear there was a weird shining flicker on those magenta-colored eyes, almost like tears unable to fall, too full of its own self.
"I can't lose you... I can't let anything happens to you, I can never lose you..." The irken whispered, his eyes narrowed sadly, finally blinking.
"A-Are you... Alright?" The boy asked, he knew at some point that he'll be a lab rat now, but seeing the alien sad was... heartbreaking for him.
You are so... pathetic...
Illnesses was heard far away, he didn't seem to be happy with the situation. Before Dib could do anything or respond, maybe even beg for mercy, he saw a weird set of emotions cross the alien's face.
His lips twitched. And with no second thoughts whatsoever, the irken kissed his human harshly, smacking both of their lips together. His claws moved from Dib's shoulders to his torso, creasing the flesh in there, his sharp claws almost leaving a trail of cuts everywhere.
Dib was shocked, confused, and feeling hot. His body reacted before him and he found himself kissing back. The alien's teeth were cutting into his lips and whatever blood was there were being sucked eagerly by the inhuman boy.
His skinny legs rubbed against each other while his hands held the alien's jacket tightly. Eyes closed shut, his cheeks were stained with a deep colored blush, forehead began to sweat and he couldn't help the moan that escape his lips.
And at some point through the process, he didn't want to admit how much butterflies were eating him alive, tingling his inside with their movements. Dib titled his head, he was running out of breath and Zim didn't seem to want to break apart. That's until he decided to bite the alien in exchange, his sugary blood taste was a bliss to the boy's tongue. It was so good he reconsidered breaking apart at all.
But the need made him bite harder, this till Zim ended their small kiss if he could even call it that.
Zim panted. "I did promise you for a kiss if you win..." His breath was a bit warmer and quick.
"B-But I didn't...-"
"Yes you did, I only attacked you when there were ten seconds left!" He smiled, that smile was nothing but innocent. "Besides, I still haven't found Gir so you win, congrats!"
"O-oh..." Dib sighed in relief, tears threatening to fall.
"Aren't you just lucky?" The irken asked, eyes empty. "I'll make sure I'll kill all this planet, you'll see."
The human didn't know how to respond to that so he kept quiet, staring into his 'lover' atop of him. This thought made his face go red. Was he supposed to ask Zim what's their relationship was? Well, Zim always says "You're mine." So this might mean something...
"H-hey, Zim..." He started, receiving a confused look from the other. "I wanna talk about something..."
"Really?" The green alien said, his features were so freakily pure. "Well, I'd love to listen but we're still not done here, we'll talk about it when we get to my base."
"Oh... o-okay..."
Zim shoot him a smile, he leaned to place a quick kiss on the boy's bruised lips. "Come on, we're not finished yet!" He gets up like a real soldier, extending a hand towards the human on the floor. Dib glanced up at him, face still as red as a tomato.
"Sure..." With this being said, he got dragged to god only knows where, but definitely because Zim still wanted to 'play'.
Damn...
