Another absolute CRIME brought on by me dropping FNAF-I never wrote any 'Phone Guy and Purple Guy/Springtrap stuck in the pizzeria together and dunking on each other for literal decades.'
Title from a song that came up in a Springtrap playlist I was listening to while writing both this and Dead Bait.
"...Hmph."
"Oh? Decided to pay attention to me again?"
"..."
"I'm flattered."
"I-I'm not here to talk to you."
"Right. You're here to… what, what else is there to do in here?"
"..."
"Hiding from the children?"
"Sh-shut up."
"Don't pretend you enjoy seeing them creep around. At least admit that."
The spirit, the one never tethered to any suit, still refused to turn around.
"Look, they killed the both of us. I get it-"
"D-don't talk like you understand."
The sneer was nearly audible. "Oh?"
"They… they didn't know any better, didn't know who I was. Th-they knew exactly who you were."
"So, are you saying I deserved this?"
He just sighed.
"I deserved to get crushed in this suit?" The metal creaked and whined, and he heard one of his bones snap as he leaned forward. "That's precious, coming from the guy who taught us how to use them."
"Quiet." He finally turned to face the suit, and the black streaks under his eyes were clear as day now. Both of his eyes, once with deep brown irises, were completely dark, save for the white pinpricks in the center. He took a step forward, and for a fraction of a second, his body was covered in blood, deep wounds from his own springlocking flickering across his form before fading again. "No, n-no, I-I blamed myself for long enough, a-alright?! For the suits, for telling you where they were, f-for not seeing anything-but this was your doing."
"Is that how you see it?"
"...I-if it wasn't at Freddy's, you would've just hurt people somewhere else."
"...Maybe." He watched the figure turn to leave, then called, "You know, I did my research before coming here. You're deteriorating. You're going to end up just like them one of these days."
"N-not that it's... any of your business, b-but... I-I already did." He shot one more dirty look over his shoulder before he passed through the false wall, and one of his eyes was human again. "I-I won't let it happen again."
"Alright, Phillips." The suit protested one more time as it fell backwards against the wall. "We'll see."
