Doom eternal and the owl house lore [pure fanfiction, not canon]
After the slayer had defeated the dark lord and sealed in his sarcophagus the seraphim returned to earth dimension bringing word that hell has been sent back to their dimension and demise of the dark lord. In the aftermath whatever was left of governance in society made an order to shut down the UAC as crimes for modifying and worshipping demons would now by considered unquestionably intolerable. With the overall population at a significant downfall the government decided a few steps back was considered necessary for survival. Towns would be rebuilt, cars manufactured from their previous designs, and all UAC technology was considered "off limits" in fear of a re-occurring catastrophe. Generation after generation of rebuilding the actions of the doom slayer where slowly forgotten, as the fate goes for most great legends as did the existence of the underworld.
As years pass hell also changed for better or for worse. Much speculation was considered, did demons die when the dark lord fell or simply banished to their dimension. Whatever happened the absence of the dark lord had an impact in hell, most notably the temperature significantly dropped. Fires cooled, lave slowly turned to stone, the argent energy of tortured souls slowly withered away till there was no more argent energy.
The deplete of this power caused powerful demons to die out and wondering fodders to seek what remained, the titans the most powerful of hell-spawn still radiated with argent energy even in death but still the decline was occurring fast. Time went on until the umbral plains froze over and demons cursed into eternal slumber.
However, during this biblical event the remnants of the Maykr's came into contact once again but unable to revitalize their leader, the khan-maykr. Seeing the state of hell, all hope was lost for their world will surely perish so a vow was made to seek revenge on the slayer by returning to the world he protected and create a new hell from it.
Using what little strength and energy remained from Urdak and the Maykrs commenced a ritual to restore the power of the titans and revitalize hell to its gorish past but only for it to work partially. Heat once again returned in hell, ice became water and the water boiled, but never could it return to the infamous state it was once known by.
This unexpected turnout was met with disappointment, disappointment that soon faded as the demons and zombies from Earth awaken, to this event a change of plans was in order. The maykrs approached these creatures and removed the curse they bore on their heads returning their sanity and sin whilst claiming to be their saviors. Before any order by the Maykr's could be created their time was almost over as their energy drained both from Urdak and themselves as they slowly died.
Before their demise 8 of the strongest commenced a plan to store their consciousness in a vessel, freed only when awakened by the argent energy recovered from the ritual. No maykr could hold the combined consciousness so as an act of desperation they stored it in a gargantuan titan corpse as they could never truly die unless by the blade of a crucible. It was a success as the combined consciousness lived in the body of a nameless titan.
The humans free from the curse and the maykrs came to be afflicted with the affects of the changing hellscape. The growing hell energy of the titan became a nourishment to them as they had reached their place in hell which they had worshiped. They became wild committing all amounts of wishful desires as they rapidly evolve with the environment only for it to become a cancer, causing pain and undernourishment to their barely human bodies. This pain reached deep within, creating argent energy from their agonized souls.
Years pass and the once agonizing pain was all but meaningless to these former humans now called elves as a nostalgic observation from their pointed ears. With forgotten pain came forgotten memories of them ever once being human. So on with their lives hey had doing all manner of sinful things becoming wild witches. Until one day an elf named Belos stumbled on the head of the titan only to awaken what should've kept hidden, the consciousness of the last 8 maykrs.
With desire for revenge motivating them to awaken, the 8 maykrs with their combined minds had created a cunning and devious plan. Tricking Belos that this mysterious presence was the spirit of the titan followed by tricking him to be destined for greatness to create the long-forgotten connection to the human world. Egar to fulfill this greatness Belos had sought after his brother Phillip to embark on a quest for the long-lost portal technology.
Through many inconveniences and drawbacks, the portal was created, a literal "door between dimensions", which Belos wasting no time stepped through to enjoy the soothing rains. Phillip, proud of his greatest achievement soon twisted into realization of the power he held discovered the truth of the titan. Hoping Belos would listen Phillip dragged him back into hell only for him to be obsessed with going back to the land of the living away from a world which scared him. Seeing the state his brother was in Phillip wasted no time taking back what he made and live-in isolation away from his deranged brother.
However, Phillip soon succumbed to the same insanity as Belos treating the portal door as an icon of worship deluding himself in thinking he was human. So, the portal door he held onto even till death of his own obsession, all other things taken away except his cursed door and its key.
Belos meanwhile channeled his insanity with the aid and council of the maykrs he became a preacher to others in hell devising a system where all those must worship the titan as the sentinels once did to the maykrs. As the events conspired Belos took his title as emperor of the boiling isles and created the coven system to organize witches to secretly worship each of the 8 specific maykr's.
After all that had conspired, the writing of the slayer's testament ignored, and the origins of the boiling isles. Still did the slayer rest in his tormenting prison ready to be awoken by any noise outside his tomb waiting to bear his mark once again, ready to rip and tear.
