A/N: I had started something for pride month but I wasn't able to really work on it. This is just an idea I had and I wanted to show you guys that I'm here! Even when I'm not posting stories, I will still be in reach for any reviews, comments, questions or plot ideas! Its been a while so I'm sorry for any confusing moments or spelling errors. This will also be a small multi chapter, as I have plans for it in the future.
Cat's First Pride
"Ugh Cat just go with us! Goddd" Jade groaned, completely over listening to Tori whine about wanting to all go to pride together, Cat claiming she had to watch her brother. It was another hour before Jade managed to somehow convince the redhead to let the guys watch her brother instead promising nothing bad will happen.
Cat still looked unsure, but she really wanted to go see the pet unicorns she believed pride had. "Will there be cotton candy?"
"Yes Cat!" Tori exclaimed with a small hint of frustration. "There will be a ton of cotton cand-!"
"And Pretty girls," Jade interrupted loudly with a smirk already turning to leave Tori's place, tossing over her shoulder what time they were all meeting at hers before slamming the door behind her making Cat squeak, Tori instantly enveloping the other into a tight hug jumping up and down a little in excitement.
"Yayyy Our first Pride together!"
The girls got dropped off at Jade's a few minutes early, finding that once again it was only Jade that was home. "Do you live alone?" Cat asked with a gasp.
"More or less," Jade shrugged with disinterest then looked over to Tori, nodding her over to the barstool. She wouldn't admit it to anybody else but she didn't mind helping Cat do Tori's makeup. It was something she grew up always doing herself, her mom not around much to do anything with her and she liked the way Tori whined to have her eyeliner specifically done by her.
Cat instantly squealed running over to provide her makeup case, letting Jade rummage for what she needed, Tori on the stool mumbling something about her hair that Jade didn't quite hear or care about. She grabbed Tori's chin to get her attention, going over her eyebrows with a pencil fixing flaws while Cat got dressed being the only one left to.
"My Bra is wet!"
Instinctively Tori moved to get up to help cat, assuming she'd dropped her bra in the toilet once again, which only irritated Jade more. "Stay still do you want me to do your eyeliner or not?!" Jade then sighed, picking out one of the pens she wanted to use, mumbling softly while looking to Tori again tilting her head up to get a better look at her eyes looking through them. "She's a big girl she will figure it out."
"You guys?"
Jade tuned the voice out, entirely focused on applying glitter to Tori's eyeshadow then her cheeks, not thinking about it when she admits that she's always wanted Tori's cheekbones, causing the other girl to blush.
"Oh come on," Tori laughed awkwardly, punching Jade's shoulder trying her best to shake off the murdering glance she received in return. "Your cheekbones are pretty too."
Silence.
Mentally cursing at herself, Tori watched Jade's eyes roll as she started putting some of the makeup away, leaving some out to later decorate Cat's face with too. After a few minutes the Latina spoke up again, eager to fill the silence. "How many prides have you been to?"
Jade shrugged swiftly sitting in the stool beside Tori while they waited for Cat. "Enough to know my way around." The goth had always been open about her sexuality. It was never a secret that she liked girls too, despite dating Beck for most of her middle and highschool life but they'd broken up a few months before, agreeing they should try being friends.
Before Tori could feel obligated to fill the silence again, Cat appeared. Her red hair was tied up in a high pony tail, dressed in shorts you would say were too high, and her sleeveless Tee see-through.
"Cat where's your bra," Jade asked, rubbing the sides of her own temple in exhaustion.
"It..fell in the toilet."
Jade then turned to Tori, just wanting to get through this so they could leave. "Let Cat borrow yours," she demanded while tossing a box of nipple coverings onto Tori's lap.
"What? Why can't Cat wear these!" Tori frowned not wanting to give up her bra.
Jade hissed, turning again. "Because Cat doesn't know how to wear those and I'm not letting her go out without a bra. Now put them on or don't so we can go. I don't care if you want to flash your nips or not." Tori wanted to protest farther, but she knew if she did, Jade would come over and do it herself. Sighing heavily, she unclipped her bra from underneath her shirt, lending it to Cat who rushed back into the bathroom despite being offered Jade's room several times, claiming Jade's room was too scary.
Watching Tori struggle with the coverings eventually made Jade impatient enough to sigh dramatically. "God Vega." Before she knew it she was stationed in front of the girl, taking one of the covers from her hands despite the verbal protests, Tori's face blushing madly while Jade lifted her shirt. Within seconds the goth moved away, already done with both covers. "It's not rocket science." She grumbled, turning when she heard Cat come back out again and quickly added onto the redhead's face with glitter and colorful face paint before they headed out, Tori still crossing her arms over her chest embarrassed.
On the way there, Cat for the third time since they left had to pee. Jade groaned loudly, ignoring her until the the next stop unlocking the doors to let her out, the pair watching the redhead squeal and run into the gas station no doubt getting the keys to the restrooms. The goth sighed again in impatience, turning and staring out her side window.
"Hey, why don't you have any rainbows on your face? We could be matching."
Jade already hated the makeup removal process to begin with, she felt she didn't want to add even more. Besides, she had glitter and that was enough. "Because Vega," she said in mild annoyance still looking out the window. "I don't need to dress up to get a girl's attention.
Tori scoffed. "Wow confident enough there?" She watched the goth's head turn, not being able to ignore how the corner of her lips curved up subtly in a smirk.
"I caught your attention when you changed schools, didn't I?"
Tori stuttered. "I-" Jade continued to stare at her and the brunette gave up rather quickly, already knowing she just gave herself away, quickly turning to look out her own window leaving the other girl to chuckle next to her. A minute passed and Tori couldn't help fidgeting with her hands. She swore she felt Jade's eyes on her but the feeling went away when Cat jumped back into the car, candy in her hands excited to share it with the rest of them.
"Yay! Take me to the cotton candy!" Cat exclaimed throwing her arms around Tori once they got out of the car. Jade was once again fuming, having needed to take almost 10 minutes just to find a spot close enough to park.
The goth nodded, leaving Cat with Tori. "Take her, I'm going to take a piss and meet up with you guys later." Before anyone could respond Jade was already gone, an impatient Cat squealing and dragging Tori around to buy even more candy and merch. It was an hour in when the girls were able to find Jade again, Cat spotting the purple and blue streaks in her hair.
"Juice!" Cat exclaimed sneaking up to the goth and taking her cup from her hands taking a sip, instantly gagging alarming Tori to rush over and pat her back. "Not Juice! Don't drink itt."
"Jade where did you get alcohol? And where have you been?" Tori asked still patting the redhead's back.
The goth sighed dramatically, replying swiftly. "From the table MOM." She downed the rest of her cup grateful Cat didn't spill or drop it before disposing of it into the nearest trash. "Come on losers I'm hungry."
They passed by the food trucks, Jade going to get tacos while Tori agreed to get rice and beans with Cat so she wouldn't feel left out or obligated to eat meat. Jade was on her 4th taco, distracting Tori who couldn't help staring. How could Jade still look so hot eating?
"Tori?"
How many tacos is she on?
"Tori." By now both of her friends were looking at her, Jade having to pinch Tori to get her attention, the girl whining in pain rubbing her arm.
"If you want a taco so bad you can just ask for it. You're drooling, Vega." Jade said handing her last taco to Tori, who nodded quickly agreeing that she so badly wanted a taco, happy to have a cover up story. Had she really been staring that hard?
Cat gasped. "Tori you have one too!"
"Have what?" Jade asked looking to Tori's face again to spot a faint kiss mark on her cheek wondering how she didn't notice it before. She'd already noticed the lipstick kiss marks on Cat, of course she was a hit everyone there loved her. Cat even made Jade look lame with the amount of attention she'd been receiving. With her attention back on Tori, Jade asked, "Who gave that to you?"
Tori's brows creased slightly in confusion. She didn't know if she was just imagining it but Jade sounded kind of aggressive. But then again it was Jade, when was she not aggressive. "I don't know..A girl I met when I was taking Cat to the bathrooms." Cat smiled cheekily at hearing her own name, giggling softly.
"Well take it off."
"What? Why?" Tori asked, getting a hand mirror from her bag to look at it thinking maybe it looked funny.
"It looks ugly."
Cat gasped, worriedly asking "Do mine look ugly too?" For a moment the redhead looked genuinely upset.
"Don't worry Cat they all look fine, Jadey's just jealous she doesn't have any of her own," Tori commented with a smug smile finally getting a chance to be cocky.
"Listen Vega. If you don't shut up I will-"
"Guys! Lets not fight. It's pride!" Cat hurriedly pulled candy out of her bra, opening each girl's hands to dump practical sugar. Not wanting Jade to feel left out, Cat then borrowed one of Tori's lip glosses, swiping it onto her lips to rub it in and wrapped her arms around Jade's neck despite her yelling, planting three small kisses over Jade's cheek and quickly letting her go before she could threaten to kill anyone, Tori afraid to laugh. "Now you're matching with us!"
Jade scoffed but didn't say anything, instead gathering their trash giving it to Cat to throw away, not noticing Tori had caught her subtle smile.
Hours later the girls were ready to head back. Cat was carrying multiple bags of cotton candy, courtesy from Jade for being good while Tori had bought matching pride flags for all three of them along with many other things, jokingly grabbing a handful of free condoms for Jade who only scoffed.
"But we didn't get to see the unicorns!" The redhead exclaimed with a small frown. She wanted to take a picture with them. "How will I know if they can poop skittles now?"
Jade and Tori shared a glance before the goth sighed, them walking back to Jade's car. "Maybe next time Cat. Let's go I'm tired."
Cat protested with a small squeak. "Wait I have to go wipe off my makeup first." Before Cat could leave Jade firmly grabbed her by the shoulders.
"Just take it off in the car Cat."
The redhead didn't look happy with the girl's words but reluctantly nodded, letting Jade open the car door for her. She mumbled softly, "Can we stop for ice cream?"
Pride was 40 minutes away from Tori's and they were almost there. Cat had a curfew requiring her to be home at a certain time but whether they were on time or late she wouldn't notice as she was fast asleep in the back seat, her empty ice cream cup still on her lap. Tori was getting dropped off first, her place being the closest.
"It's quiet when she's asleep," Tori commented looking out the window. The moon was shining brightly making Tori smile looking at the trees lit in the moonlight.
"Yeah it was quiet until you opened your mouth."
"Grouch.." the Latina mumbled sinking lower in her seat managing to make it back home without pushing any more of the dark haired girl's buttons. Getting out of the car she said a quiet goodnight to a still sleeping Cat, thanking Jade for the ride to which she was met with a genuine soft smile. The smile disappeared so quickly though that Tori thought she must've imagined it. "Goodnight Jade."
Cat's place was up next. The guys had messaged the girls saying when they left and that everything went okay. Pulling up into the driveway Jade put her car in park turning around to poke at the redhead in the back. "Cat." No response so she grasped the girl's arm shaking her just enough to wake Cat up who gasped looking around. "Go home." Jade said simply, confused when Cat looked upset, looking for her makeup wipes. "Cat?"
"Why didn't you wake me up before we got here?" she asked uncharacteristically upset. She used the hand mirror from her bra to see herself, hurriedly wiping off the glitter, kiss marks and rainbows from her face as Jade watched quietly. Jade couldn't help but notice the worry, watching Cat use her third makeup wipe but didn't want to get into her business.
"Don't forget your stuff Cat," Jade said trying to hand her the flags and pride merch Tori had bought her.
"Can I keep it in your car?" Cat asked already getting out after checking the time, not taking any of the stuff from Jade.
"Ca-" Cat didn't hear her, already at her own front door with a wave to Jade before she entered her house for the night leaving a confused and annoyed Jade West in her car.
