A Shattered Nightmare

An AU where Kakyoin survives SDC. Its been a year since Kira's defeat and another summer's here. Unfortunately rumor spreads of a slue of mysterious murders and the Morioh gang suspect another stand user, but when Koichi falls victim to this murderer and is in the hospital in critical condition the gang takes action. Kakyoin soon realizes he'll have to face an old enemy once again.

1. Chapter 1

Chapter 1: The Summer of 2000

A loud bell rings throughout the school, students filled with joy rush out of the school. Summer's finally here, and it seems it's going to be a peaceful one. "Hurry up Okuyasu, I wanna go home already!" "Oi Josuke, I'm coming, don't worry!" The teenager named Okuyasu ran up towards Josuke and walked right beside him. "What took you so long? You're never late to leave." Josuke asked? "Sorry man, I got into an argument with the teacher." Okuyasu said with some strange pride in his voice. "What? Ho- oh I'm not even gunna ask…" The two students continue to walk to the school gate. "Josuke! Okuyasu! There you are!" That voice was the voice of Koichi Hirose. "Oi Koichi! How was the last day of school?" Okuyasu said while he and Josuke turned around and noticed that besides Koichi was his girlfriend, Yukako Yamagishi. "The last day was fun! I'm just glad it's over and I can finally relax." Koichi said with a nervous laugh afterward. "And- because we get to spend the whole summer together. Isn't that right Koichi?" "Yeah, of course Yukako!" Okuyasu turned around with a tear in his eye and a clenched fist, "Lucky..."

"Anyways guys, do you all watch the news often?" Koichi asked. "Nope, not at all." Okuyasu replied. "Well I do." Yukako responded. "Oh no, Is this about those rumors of another murderer? I don't wanna deal with that for ANOTHER summer." Josuke's voice had some fear and annoyance. "A-a-a WHAT!" Okuyasu yelled. Yukako's face was also filled with shock. "Yeah, many murders have been occurring in such strange conditions that the police have no leads on what's going on. People have been found horribly slashed to death in their beds with no sign of forced entry, and the survivors have no memory of what happened. There are a lot of cases so they are thinking it's a serial killer." Koichi shivered in worry. "Holy shit man…" Okuyasu couldn't mutter another word. Silence fell upon the group. Koichi interrupted the silence with, "That's why Jotaro and Kakyoin are coming back to Morioh."

"They're coming back to Morioh? Is it that serious?" Josuke said in shock. "Mhm, because of all the mysterious circumstances they believe it might be another stand user." Koichi clutched Yukako's hand. "They are arriving later today and they are planning another meeting with all the stand users here to discuss this matter. The meeting is at 4:00pm tomorrow. They have already told the others." "I guess we'll have to do this again…" Josuke said. Yukako looked down. "Why are the summers here never peaceful?"
