(A/N: Technically I know reader insert stories aren't allowed, but since I didn't really care for Quotev, I decided to post what I wrote on here. Most of the stories are on the guy's, but I might write some for the girls and villains later on. ^_^)
Izuku could feel a blush creeping onto his cheeks as he watched you. In all truth he felt like some creepy stalker. Yes it had only been a coincidence that he had ended up at the same park as you, yet ever since he had spotted your figure, he found that he could not remove his innocent green eyes from your form. And out of fear that you would notice him, he had taken to hiding behind a tree like some pathetic coward.
You were bent down and trying to coax a squirrel to come and take a small grape out of your palm, cooing gently at it while wearing a warm smile that made Izuku's heart flutter and his own lips curve upwards. It wasn't any surprise to him that the normally cautious creature eventually approached you. He had seen for himself what a kind-hearted person you were. You had this presence that seemed to draw anyone or anything to you. Yet you were also strong. You knew when to be compassionate, but weren't afraid to chastise anyone that deserved it if they were out of line. This was one of the things he greatly admired about you.
He could still recall the day he had first saw you, which so happened to be during the Sports Festival. You were a part of Class 1-B, and had been one of those who had stood out during the competition. Not only had you managed to get fifth place in the obstacle course, but you had been the first person who offered to partner up with Izuku during the Calvary run when everyone else had seen him as the main target.
"I know we don't know much about each other, but I'm sure we'll make a great team!" were the first words you had spoken to him with a bright grin. "My name is f/n l/n by the way. What's yours?"
"Oh um, it's M-Midoriya. Izuku Midoriya…"
Izuku wasn't sure why he had gotten so nervous, but he presumed it was due to the fact most strangers, (well people in general), never paid him that much attention...Or maybe it was the fact that you continued to smile at him and had even complimented his name; this causing his cheeks to flush red.
Thanks in part to you and your helpful quirk, the team had managed to place fourth and make it into the tournament battle. You had done well, but had unfortunately lost to Tokoyami. Still, despite the injuries you sustained in your fight, you had taken time to come and visit him in the hospital.
"Sorry you didn't win, Midoriya-kun. I could tell how hard you were trying to prove yourself in the tournament," you told him with a faint smile. "Still, you did really well! That quirk of yours is pretty impressive!"
"Th-thank you, l/n. I don't think Recovery Girl was too happy about my injuries, though," he had laughed out awkwardly, his form still badly injured even after surgery and the elderly pro heroes medical treatment.
"I'm guessing a power like that must be difficult to control...But you'll get the hang of it eventually," you encouraged. "Just try not to push yourself too far. I'd hate to see anything even more serious happen to you..."
These words had made the green haired male gasp, and he found himself becoming a stuttering wreck when you were writing your phone number down on his cast. While you were in a different class and were rivals in a sense, (considering most of your class saw 1-A as something to surpass), you had admitted you'd like to be his friend; saying he could call you whenever he wanted to. Even if it was just to discuss something silly.
While he had called you rather often, he always would make an excuse whenever you wanted to hang out. He was afraid he would do something stupid that would make you hate him, and Izuku found that he couldn't bare that idea...The shy male couldn't help but wonder if this is what people meant when they called it love at first sight? He wasn't certain at first, but all the signs clearly pointed to why he experienced these strange emotions whenever he saw you in the halls or talked to you.
It also didn't help that Kaminari and Sero were teasing him quite often about having someone special in his life since he tended to get a dreamy look on his face whenever you texted him...And he found that he actually liked the sound of that.
'But there's no way they'd ever want to date someone like me...' Izuku couldn't help but think pessimistically as he gazed down at the dark red sneakers he wore.
"Izuku-kun? What are you doing back here?" you asked in your cute voice, causing Izuku to scream and actually tumble backwards; this bizarre action causing you to blink down at the lean, yet still muscular male in confusion who was shielding his face as if you might attack him.
"O-oh, l/n! Funny running into you here, eh heh! I was just uh...resting for a moment after jogging, a-and you startled me!"
You clearly weren't buying the excuse, crossing your arms over your chest as you smiled knowingly down at him. "It's kind of funny how you were jogging in the same place I asked you to meet me at, but you said you couldn't make it,"
"Yeah. That is pretty funny, huh...?"
Shaking your head, you held out a hand for the fluffy haired boy to take; both of you simultaneously feeling small electrical shocks coursing through your touch as the two of you pulled away with slightly pink faces. It was silent for a few seconds, so you decided to break it.
"I...was actually starting to wonder if maybe you didn't like me. The way you always turned me down, it felt like you didn't want to be around me..." you spoke softly, your head turned to the side.
Izuku's orbs grew large realizing his actions had caused you obvious pain from the expression on your face. He inwardly swore at himself since that was the last thing he had ever wanted to do. Why didn't he understand sooner that his own fear might be sending you the wrong signal?
"N-no! That's not it at all! I like you, f/n!" Izuku said a bit loudly, his tone causing your eyes to now widen seeing the firm and determined expression on his face. Not to mention, this was the first time he had used your given name. While you mainly talked at school or through the phone, you had started referring to him by his first name once you had grown closer, but Izuku continued to talk to you like you were simply acquaintances, not good friends.
This was one of the small things that was making you question just what sort of relationship the two of you had...
So when Izuku was placing both of his hands on your shoulders and staring you directly in the eyes without an ounce of fear within them, you couldn't help but feel both confused and flustered.
"I...like you more than you'll ever realize, f/n..." he said in a more low tone, his hands gently squeezing your shoulder as his face gradually inched closer to your own.
He was kissing you?! The shy, yet adorable Izuku Midoriya had kissed you without a moments hesitation! You were almost too shocked to respond, but his lips moving against your own were too sweet to resist, and it wasn't long before you were returning the gentle smooch.
Parting from one another, both of you letting out light pants, a happy smile formed on your lips while you said, "I really like you too, Izuku-kun…"
You wanted to tell him that you had developed a small crush on him when you first saw him save that Bakugou kid from that horrible villain. How his bravery in that moment had inspired you to enroll in U.A., and how delighted you had been when he agreed to work with you in the Calvary Battle; the friendship you had developed with him only causing your feelings for him to grow stronger.
Seeing the dreamy expression on Izuku's face slowly fade as comprehension hit him, you decided you could tell him all of this later. It seemed he needed a moment to recover.
"Ah...I kissed f/n...I JUST KISSED F/N?!" Izuku exclaimed in a mad panic, swaying where he stood before his eyes actually rolled into the back of his head and he fell to the ground with a loud 'Thunk!".
You couldn't help but laugh at the adorably timid male's delayed reaction to his bold move, leaning against the tree as you pulled Izuku's head to rest comfortably in your lap after you had sat down.
"You're such a goofball, you know that?" you continued to say through chuckles, gently running your fingers through his soft hair.
Now you only had to hope he wouldn't freak out too much when he awoke to see the position he currently was in.
