I do not own for honor or it's universe
Only the character of this story, as well as their background is made by myself
In the middle of nowhere, four figures walk in a storm strong enough to hide the sunlight
???:"Damn I didn't expect to know how hell feels like-"
A dry throat in a place where water is bound to be everywhere
???:"-in this snow."
literally
as they progress through this where the weather could be better anywhere else, they got close to a wall
???:"yeah, would've been better if we had hired someone who knows his job"
a giant stone wall
???:"how'bout you try to start a fire next time ay? doesn't seem that hard with the weather shiting on us"
whereas 2 of the group were swearing at each other and the third complaining, the fourth just meddled in everyone's business
???:"It's about time to shut up and do something more useful!!"
shouted the last party member ,where all the rest has gone silent
???:"instead of roasting our native"
she point the left side of the wall
"go gather some wood and find a place to stay the night, Gildas need to rest, we'll catch up to you later. Don't lost yourself in the storm, stay near the mountain's wall" she paused "and take Geoffrey with you, he's from this land after all, he knows more here than we do" she finished, signing the guide to follow the giant.
Geoffrey mocked "Big boy might get lost if leaved alone huh?", the giant didn't bother looking at the taunting guide while responding "Yeah, stay close..", the native suddenly taken aback by the big knight lack of aggressivity stared at him, waiting for him to finish his sentence: "you wouldn't want me to accidentally mistaken your ugly face for a goblin ,do you?"
"I knew it!"Geoffrey started to rush angrily to the giant, as himself was laughing and running away in the direction imposed by the female knight.
Gildas, stomping the snow, grunted "all this water" knee on the ground, he took struggled to take some with his hands "so close...why can't I just drink the damn thing!", the female knight approached him and answered "you know why",posing one hand on his shoulder "Snow here is eternal, and far colder than our winter."
she leaned on the mountain's wall "and you know how I...lost-" Gildas quickly stopped her in her words, "Meggy, I.. forgot, sorry", Meggy, looking at the stormed sky for a while, say "yeah... so bear with it." she stare at him "a dry throat is better than a cold death." she finished, Gildas nodded, looking at his leg going numb from the lack of motion, he got up, and started moving around to cancel the feeling.
The walk was slow and hard against the wind, even with the mountain acting as a barrier.
silence was building up as they both had a hard time doing such a simple task, thanks the weather, "shouldn't we have done that all together?" Geoffrey complained "it's not caus I know how the area work and you're a walking tower that it's easy for us ,don't they think?" the tower answered, shaking his head "those two are injured, giving them task now may worsening their condition-" surprised, the guide interrupted "two? nah ,you just wanna mark some point Don't you?" giggling "Grey, you're a silly one." "remember our lawbringer ?" Grey interjected "well more than our lawbringer , it was her's."
Geoffrey, surprised, just stared blankly at him
"Oh"
Grey followed "yeah and since we buried him , she started spacing out." the guide expired "welp, that sucks for our little warden" then quickly changed subject "Come, must find something similar of a cave if we want to light anything ."Grey approved, holding some stick in one hand, and a log under his arm, Geoffrey stared at the damn log, no word coming out, just disbelief and awe.
as the little bit of light that could pass the wall of the storm began to vanish, Meggy and Gildas was on their way to the other member of their team
"Let's hope they found something to hide from the cold" Gildas said, while looking around,Meggy followed
"yeah, I begin to be thirsty as well" then looked up at Gildas "your throat?" "itching to get intimate with something liquid right now" he said instantly, while he rub his neck a little, hearing the warden giggle "Right I'm no different right now" "we might have our prayers answered" he finished, pointing a hole barely visible in the mountains, "they're probably here" Gildas nodded.
as they got inside, the supposition was half right. a small fire was present deeper in the giant cave ,with the belonging of the two
"Nice, they took some snow to melt" thought Meggy as they walked towards the source of heat, but something was unnerving her "what's wrong?" the fellow knight asked, seeing the seemingly uneasy warden in her step "I.. don't.." she hesitated "i'm not good with cave."she finished "why? it's quie-" she interjected "too quiet, too dark ,too calm ,way too much for my taste" she followed as she almost stubbled on the flat ground "Even if it's a little far we still see the exit from here yet we barely ear the damn storm outside!" she finished.
As they finally got close to the fire, the snow inside was done melting and some kind of soup with berries and meat was the only logic hypothesis, "huh, even had the luxury to pick up a log " Gildas scoffed as he sat on the makeshift bench and filled his metal bowl with the mixture while Meggy couldn't shake off the feeing of uneasiness. the night as fallen , the fire still burning , Gildas in deep sleep as the warden finally sat down ,she hear someone at the entrance "Don't Tell me you've gulped down all the stuff I found?!" Geoffrey shouted, his hands charged with snow, waking up Gildas in the process "no, there's still some of your concoction for you" Meggy said, as the guide got closer with a smiling face "where's our conqueror?" she asked, seemingly worried "big guy and I got into a conflict" he said, filling his bowl plenty "So I went gathering some stuff to cook" he continued, swallowing a big portion of his food " and he went deeper inside the damn cave" he finished as he aslo finished his bowl, satisfied of his cooking skills, but anger could be heard in the deafening silence of the cave, as the warden suddenly got up and grabbed the guide by the collar "did you forgot why we're here?" "the hell you're doing after you're eati-" "Did you?" she insisted, staring down on Geoffrey "...I didn't" she pushed him, letting him go in the process "even if it could've been purely make up by the samurai prisoners, we still have to be a minimum on our guard" she sat down once more, "so you two stops acting like fucking childrens and go get him" she finished, filling her bowl, while Geoffrey was getting deeper in the cave spitting on the floor and staring her down "litli riddari..." then vanished into the darkness.
