Hi, this is my first story in this fandom, and I hope y'all like it. I also haven't written stories in quite some time, so please bear with me while I get back into writing. I will update whenever I can, which is probably not going to be a lot. I do not own any characters from FBI nor the show itself.

06:00 a.m: time to wake up! Stuart wasn't really a morning person. So, with lots of convictions, he got up and went to the bathroom to get ready. Showering, brushing teeth and shaving was done when he walked into his kitchen to make himself a nice warm cup of coffee. Scola was about to start the coffee machine but stopped because a note under his door caught his eye. He walked over to the door and picked up the note. At first, Stuart thought someone mistook his apartment door for another one and was about to throw the piece of paper away when his gut told him he should take a deeper look at it. He folded it up and wrote the message: Meet me at 7 a.m, by the trees! - Paul

Scola laid the note confused on the counter and finally started the coffee. While waiting on his coffee and getting dressed, he asked himself what his old friend Paul could want from him. He hasn't spoken to him in years. Paul never understood why Scola quit his job on wall street to become an FBI agent, so they kind of grew apart.

07:03 a.m: Stuart recognised Paul from the distance and was still wondering what his problem could be. Why hadn't he just called him? Why this secret meeting by the trees, where you can only be seen by one side? He knew Paul was always ready to take risks. Has he gone too far?

"What's with the meeting?" Stuart asked after greeting Paul like old friends do when they haven't seen each other in a long time. Paul didn't seem to have changed too much and was, overall, surprisingly calm, but that could be a coverup. He looked Stuart directly in the eyes and said: "Direct to the point, like always. I have some problems with a few people who aren't that nice." Scola had a feeling in which direction this conversation would go and answered: "What exactly do you mean with that? What is my role in this whole situation?" "I don't know if I can tell you everything, but let us just say I lent money from the wrong people. And now they are after my family and me. You have to help me!" Anger made its way up to Stuart's heart, and he felt a bit betrayed. Maybe not really betrayed, but something similar. Paul had no intention to keep in contact. Now that he needs help, Stuart becomes interesting again. Scola does feel bad for him but is inclined to just say he can't do anything and go. But he doesn't want Paul to be harmed in any way only because he was too stubborn to say yes. "What do you want me to do? I mean, I can't really imagine what I could do to help you out of this dilemma. I probably don't have the amount of money you need to keep the boys on distance." Paul half chugged and looked around to ensure they are still alone. With a lower voice and a bit of uncertainty, he answered: "I kind of already told them you are with the FBI and, if I was to be harmed in any way, you would take their place apart. I know I shouldn't have brought you up but they were threatening to kill Hawke. I only thought about my child, man." Scola, who listened to everything in disbelieve, started to realise the extent of the situation Paul had just brought him in. With both of his hands, he went over his face to take everything, said in the last minutes, in and calm himself before doing something stupid. "Okay, so let me get this straight. You are threatened by people you lent money from and, you told them as a sort of protection you have a friend in the FBI who can tear their place apart in seconds? And what exactly am I supposed to do?" Stuart was getting angrier the longer he looked at Paul but decided to still look directly into his eyes to make his point clearer. Paul slightly hesitating and shying away from the eye contact began to speak: "I was hoping you could come with me to the money handover. Maybe with a whole team?" Stuart was looking at Paul in disbelief and tried to calm himself while saying: "I can't bring my whole team to a money handover. Just because you got yourself onto the wrong people. We have a big case right now, and I don't think we can take it. But if it makes you sleep better, I can come and step in if necessary."
